What an absolutely legendary way to close out your Strongman career, Brain. A win for the ages, against the current Titans: Honestly, this is one of the greatest feats in Strongman history, and really, even in sports history. The "Shaw Classic" has completed the Strongman "majors". In Golf and Tennis you have 4 majors/"slams", and now Strongman has it, as well: World's (WSM), Arnold Classic, Rogue Invitational, and now Shaw Classic. Those are the 4 'Major' events. And "The Shaw Classic" is the heaviest event of them all. It's a true "Stongman's, Strongman" event, respected most by the athletes themselves. . So, for Brian Shaw, at 41 years old and competing in the final event of his illustrious career, to not only beat, but to dominate, the best strongmen in the world. Tom Stoltman has won 2 of the last 3 WSM's. Mitch Hooper is having a season for the ages - winning both Worlds and the Arnold's in the same year - just the 4th man in history to do so. So both men are quite literally in their primes: Stoltman is 29 and Hooper 27. Brian Shaw, at aged 41, just spanked both of them
Thank! You! Brian! What a way to close out an amazing career. Congratulations on closing this chapter. The next one will of course, be great! Awesome that the Four Horsemen could reunite and celebrate this epic win. 🙌💪🐐🤙

@@youtubeconnollyfamily the amount of time Brian put in to this event to make sure it was enjoyed by all was really amazing. From the expo, live speakers, meet and greet booths and the show set up, you could feel the love Brian has for not only his fellow athletes but also the fans!
Eddie trying to be the clown, as always, but you could clearly see that he was about to cry aswell
i had a tear then died of laughter when he ended it with you fat prick lol
Eddie seems like a top friend to have. Messes around, but can be sincere when it matters. Friends like him who constantly try to push you, mentally and physically and socially, keep you sharp. Solid guy.
No Eddie wasn't trying to be a clown, Eddie was trying to be nice in his own way to let him stop crying. You could see how nice Eddie is and he has a nice clean heart
I absolutely love how Brian has Nick, Obi and Eddie there to cheer him on for the last time. The brotherhood those guys have truly is special
The love and respect everyone has for Brian is so commendable. He’s done so much for the sport and for the athletes, and it shows with how they support him. What a weekend!
From someone who’s 41 and watched worlds strongest man on tv since I was a kid and watching Brian every year for all those years compete it actually bought tears to my eyes seeing him top spot on the podium! Well done Brian will miss seeing you on tv big man and thanks for being such a top bloke, really honestly mean that if we all took a leaf out of Brian’s book the world would be a happier place
Hopefully they bring him in to commentate
Amen to that, my friend.
I would love to hear Keri's perspective from this. Supporting Brian and helping to make sure the contest runs smoothly must be an intense juggling act. What a legendary queen!
Hard to feel it through video but being there and having 5000 people cheer on Brian and yelling "thank you Brian" in unison will forever be a feeling I remember
It was powerful just watching it through a screen, can’t imagine being there let alone being on the stage in Brians shoes. Freakin GOAT!
When you have a friend that cry's from being just the up most proud of you...that's the Friend you need in your life...hats of to Nick for being supportive of Brian
BIG CONGRATULATIONS, what an awesome career you’ve had. You’ve with no doubt inspired millions of people young and old to hit the gym. I appreciate all you do, thank you for being great!
Thank you Brian ; you've inspired a generation with your strength & more importantly, with your positivity, kindness and generosity.
He truly is a giant among mankind 😃.
I have seen all his competitions 👌.
Brian will forever be remembered as a legend in strongman community 💪🏼!
Brian was and still is the reason so many of us have gotten into watching and competing in strongman. Thank you Brian, you have left the sport far better than you found it. We will forever be grateful for what you have done and what you have sacrificed for this incredible sport.
Everyone should have friends like Nick and Eddie. Awesome job Brian, what an awesome way to go out! Now, you can concentrate on growing strongman bigger than it has ever been. How amazing, that even after expending all that energy, you still hung around and met with all those fans.
Why am I tearing up? ❤️🥹
You'll forever be a legend Brian!! 🔥💪🏿
Lmao same here and i’m a Guy, rarely cry or tear up by watching videos but this hit different 😂 oh damn 🥲
Maybe from all of the passion , perseverance, blood , sweat , tears , hardwork that was put inn to get not ONLY get W the pain he indured with his injury during the event , and still was triumphant. .put the whole event together, won it and retired on top !
All of that greatness will make anyone tear up . . because it shows your dreams can come true if you willing to bust your ass to achieve them.
I’m 5ft5 and have watched strong man all my life, growing up I knew I would never be like these guys physically, but there is one thing that’s very important, the admiration and humble humanity that’s oozes from these giants is so rewarding, kids of today please watch and learn 🙏🙏
Brian is such a great ambassador for the sport and is such a genuine and nice person. He deserves every bit of success.
From a young boy that had many goals, many dreams, much hard work to do, and much effort that was needed. You get a man. A man like Brian Shaw that not only achieved his goals but also became known as the World's Strongest Man. Congratulations on your win sir I am so pleased to see how much you have grown, it's a bit saddening to see that it's already your last professional lifting time but I see now that you have a new journey ahead of you and i have no doubt in my mind that you will succeed in that just as easly as you always have. Keep pushing. Pain is weakness leaving the body. Thank you for showing the world greatness and puting a new name in history books 🌹
I'm in tears. I've been watching Brian almost from the start. You're a treasure Brian. Love from South Africa.
This just goes to show who the true king of strength is. WSM is looking for the strongest aerobic athletes, while The Shaw Classic is looking for the strongest man in the world. Congratulations, Brian, and we hope you enjoy your retirement.
What event at WSM did you find easy?
@@fanfeck2844 Where did I ever mention easy?
@@fanfeck2844he never said it was easy, just that it wasn’t the best showing of strength among the top competitions at the moment. Giants live, Shaw Classic, Rogue Invitational, Arnold Strongman Classic, are all significantly better organized and more accurate in showcasing the strongest humans on earth, in my opinion
@@asketillus8679thank you.
@@asketillus8679this is why Brian created his competition. It's about strength.
This was my first ever strongman event. I feel honored to have been able to be there to witness this. The passion of these athletes is absolutely incredible and their sportsmanship is unrivaled. Looking forward to seeing it next year. Congratulations Shaw!
I was there too. Flew from Michigan. I've been to Super Bowls, World Series, countless hockey, baseball games etc... It was the most incredible awesome event I've Ever attended. So glad I was there for Brian's last competition. Amazing 👏
Once in a lifetime opportunity and you got to experience it as your first time, I'm happy for you man. I hope you had a blast!
Amazing performance! I am extremely grateful that my family and I were able to attend in person to watch. What a great ending for a great man. THANK YOU BRIAN! STRONGEST MAN ON EARTH BRIAN SHAW! ❤
What an impressive win. Beating the young and insanely gifted Hooper in his last event ever. Talk about going out on top, well done Brian!
I’m glad Hooper didn’t win. He’s talented, but way too cocky and full of himself. One big difference between him and Brian is that he talks about himself too much, while Brian overwhelming prefers talking about others.
Wtf? Hooper is a very humble guy. I wish him all the best. He was humble in every interaction I saw him in this event and in other events. Look how he cheers on Brian. He has an awesome personality. @@bogechoginson3728
@@bogechoginson3728I love when so-called "fans" of the sport say this about him, when everyone in the scene who's ever met him in person and spoken about him has only good things to say about him.
@@bogechoginson3728 I Saw some of hoopers videos . He seems very respectfull when talking about the others
Hero, role model, inspiration are only a few of the things Brian Shaw represents. Couldn’t be more grateful to have this man to look up to for so long. Can’t wait to see his impact in his next chapter! 🐐
Nick Bests reaction to Brian winning. To be able to cry over a friends legacy is fucking beautiful. Nick is a real one. That display of appreciating someone so deeply makes me a little emotional. To love a friend so sincerely is more precious than gold.
Eddie doesn’t exactly have the age it takes to have such sentiment, but you can still understand that under the words and the expression, he cares a great deal about brain legacy.
I wish we could have gotten Obersts words after the competition. But him being there so close to the stage hollering at Brian says it all.
Love how every participating athlete was celebrating Brains last outing with him at every stage of the competition. Goes to show, he is loved and respected by all his peers.
Was so amazing being there, and coincidentally having your family behind us was a huge bonus. Hearing your boys cheering for you during the wheelbarrow relay brought a huge smile to my wife and I. Thank you for all that you do both for the sport, and for our colorado economy. Cant wait to come back next year. You're the G.O.A.T congrats on an amazing career!
We were right across the way from you! Amazing show!
The shot of him finishing the last step is awesome, I feel like you can see on his face once it’s done just the face of “that’s it boys.”
Thank you Brian for everything, thank you for taking the time to meet us after the competition and thank for everything you've done for the sport! You're a great man!
What a legend. So much love from the crowd. What an experience being there in person. Literally leaving a legacy every day. 😊
Congratulations, Brian. Your achievements are absolutely legendary, both as an athlete and a role model. You’ve inspired so many people, myself included, not just in strength sports, but life itself.
Incredible legacy. From across the pond 🇬🇧 we salute you Mr Brian Shaw. An inspiring American 🇺🇸 and a fantastic role model for our sport. Happy retirement and congratulations on your success, in life, in sport, in love and in family.❤️
Brian, you’re the reason I started watching strongman back in 2010. You’re an unbelievable sportsman, gent, dad and such a role model. I wish you all the best for your retirement. You, Eddie and all the banter is fantastic. Much love from across the pond! ❤
Nick Best is a real man! I love his emotion. He has a great heart.
This was an amazing event. Congratulations to all the competitors and to everyone behind the scenes. As a fan, I couldn't ask for more. Brian, you are a great ambassador for the sport. Thank you for being great!
Watching in-person was electric. The in-between segments were great, too! Seeing the equipment put together and taken apart was also a show in itself. Can't wait to see it again next year!
Brian, thanks for being classy all the way to the end. Soli Deo Gloria. Thank you for elevating the sport, can't wait to see what you do next! Congratulations!!! 🎉
"First I want to thank God." Love it!!!! Great job Brian!!!!
He must've been low on oxygen
The fact you can compete and put on a stage like this is insane in itself let alone win and dominate. The journey is just getting started! Can't wait to see what the future holds for the legend that is Brian Shaw. Thank you for all you do and have done!
Big respect Brian, you have not only showed that you are the strongest man on the planet, but you are also a big promotor of the sport and on top of that you have created the heaviest and best show there is (imo). I think your show also gives a much better representation of who is the strongest man on the planet than WSM. It's obvious the really heavy contest suits you better than the speed contest. The livestream was also great!
Shaw is one of the greatest athletes of all time! It's been a lotta fun over the years, and looking forward to many more years of the Shaw Classic! +1 Like
The high level of good sportsmanship combined with the high competitive culture you and the rest of the guys have build around this pro sport is amazing.
Awesome !!! You've been more important to the sport of strongman than you'll ever grasp and just because you're so humble.
What an icon! Thank you for everything Brian! You are an inspiration for all of us! We will "Be Great" thanks to you and your legacy.
So proud of you. You are the strongest man in the world, Brian. There couldn't be a better role model than you. Shaw Strength is Real Strength! Congratulations from the bottom of my heart. You worked so hard, pushed so hard, and finished strong. You put on such a great competition. Was so awesome to watch. You made history! Again, kudos. You are the man! 💪

I had chills watching the comp… So awesome for Brian to finish on top… literally… The hard work paid off… there will never be another… Congrats to you and your family! Thank you for everything. Cheers 👍🥃👊🍻🇺🇸
Big congratulations! This was the perfect finish to your illustrious career. Watching you over the years has been a true joy and really helped me get into the sport. I can't wait to watch your comp grow further!
This was my first ever strongman live event. It was awesome to see the level of sportsmanship and admiration these men give each other. I have never seen it in any other sporting event I’ve been to. This will be a yearly event for me going forward.
Thank you Brian for the years of greatness and inspiration, thanks for introducing me to this world, and thanks for leaving it in the hands of such capable and humble champions!
I cant convey how happy and proud i was to see you dominate this Brian what an amazing athlete and amazing career that has inspired me and so many others to do great things
Thank you Brian for all the blood, sweat, and tears. You proved that anything is possible and are a true role model
I think we all teared up when B won and we saw all the respect he was given by his fellow competitors and friends. I was watching from the sleeper in my semi truck and was screaming like I was there. The show was great and will only get better.
Thank you Scott this comment made my day
It's not just the memories and the performances over the many years but how humble and nice this dude is that makes this so damn emotional. Can't wait to see what is next!!!
End of an era. Thank you for the inspiration, and nothing but the best for you and your family.
What a fitting way to end an incredible career. Going out on top is everyone's dream and Brian made it happen. He proved to everyone that he is still the strongest man on earth and the best strongman of all time. I will sorely miss watching him compete but I am looking forward to seeing everything he does going forward. The Shaw Classic is already the best test of a strongman and I can't wait to see how it grows in the coming years.
We love you Brian! Congratulations on being The Strongest Man on Earth! ❤💪🏻
There’s no one who can dislike this man he is just the type of person everyone should be driven, humble, and caring for others
What an absolutely legendary way to close out your Strongman career, Brain. A win for the ages, against the current Titans:
Honestly, this is one of the greatest feats in Strongman history, and really, even in sports history.
It was absolutely amazing watching you win yesterday Brian. Congratulations on your phenomenal career and I can't wait to see what happens next.
You really did something special with this competition Brian. Well done to you and your team. Loved seeing Carry with her ear piece on :)

He has done more for stong man athletes than anyone. He is a legend l!! If anyone thats a BIG if, someday someone comes along that does and did what Brian did. Itll be a long time! Congratulations to a great career and a even better man
I hope you know how much you truly changed the way people look at this sport and now how many more young people are wanting to be apart you in my eyes will always be the greatest of all strong man! Much love from Iowa big man!!!

What a show, what a competition, what a man. I am lost for words, but this competition has to be my favorite strongman comp of all time.
Everything looked so professional, the crowd was amazing, and the emotions were unbelievable.
