    Great effort from all of today's competitors.
    But one name that has been etched into strong man history....Big Z.
    The set of shoulders and power from Big Z really stands out, even today, as the strongest set.
    Much like how Eddie Hall jumped the deadlift record and increased it by such a huge amount....Big Z showed longevity, consistency and absolute dominance in a sport that really knocks the body around.
    Big Z's raw static power will be the greatest for some time.

    You know what would be a cool challenge for the strong men to do? Seeing how fast they can load up 680KG of weight onto a dolley and pulling that weight at the length of at least half a football stadium at the fastest time! That's what I have to do at my job every day.😂

  • @BenDavies-t3j

    When he compared him to Usain Bolt I actually though there's no way he can be that far ahead of his competitors, but actually he's way better. If the closest to him was 210kg on the day to his 231, then he's roughly 9% better. That would mean that Bolt would have to be faster by just under a second to be that far ahead of his competitors. When in reality Usain Bolt is only about 1% faster than the 2nd fastest time in the 100m. Hats off to IB.

    I love Hooper, he's an elite athlete and warrior, the only thing I personally do not appreciate much about him is that sometimes he speaks about matters he hasn't studied, such as meditation and its physiological benefits and pre pre pre (many hours pre ) pre trainings ice baths , which have many benefits in performance when done before, many hours before hard heavy training session and mma and martial arts workouts. Said so, i Love Mitchell ❤

    • @ExacT9
      @ExacT9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree with you completely about him speaking about things he doesn't know about much, but one thing Hooper is on another planet compared to the competition is recovery, he's strong all around sure, but his recovery is absolutely unmatched, he did so many events this year and not even finished and he still has all the gas he needs to win them all, it's just ridiculous. So I'm not sure what you mean with the ice-baths exactly, but I know for a fact every athlete should try to mimic Hooper's recovery 1:1, might not work for everyone, but everyone should give it ago, as he really is on another planet and he doesn't have the same procedures as the other athletes.

      coaches actually specifically look for autistic athletes. an autistic athlete with good strength genetics is historically THE formula to get world titles, as autistic athletes will tend to be laser focused on their training to an obsessive level. your 90% unemployment rate is also not true, the only studies on this indicate 70-80% unemployment rates, but this is for diagnosed autistic adults. upwards of 70% of autistic adults are undiagnosed, conservative estimates at least 50%. the data is thus woefully incomplete and any conclusions drawn from it are at best only working with half of the information. tldr; the only thing you're right about here is that tom did in fact win WSM 4 months ago. it's not even the biggest and most prestigious strongman comp anymore though, the fact that it isn't livestreamed has hugely damaged its popularity compared to more modernized strongman comps. it's only the biggest and most prestigious competition if you think that your grandfather who doesn't know how to operate a smart phone is the smartest person in your family.

      @GiantsLiveSTRONGMAN I'm not slatting Iron Bibby, just like Big Z he doesn't have competition at the moment. So there's no point for him to beat his own record. That's why increasing by 1KG isn't big deal.
      But when it comes to the entirely another competitor, strongman should beat the record with at least 5KG difference. When you think about it, the last record could of have been 231 for Bibby. 1KG wouldn't have stopped him.
      This is why Halls deadlift will ever be more impressive HafThors. Hall held record for 4 years, first man to ever do it and most importantly he made insade weight jumps already beating current 2016 deadlift record and went straight to 500 ...
      My point is - To beat someone else by 1KG margin is ridiculous, knowing damn well, that the guy you're competing against would have done the same back then.
