- In this video we give the Limited X a much better sound and tone with a pair of Borla Mufflers and Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonators. This exhaust setup gives the V6 a better time and rumble at idle and acceleration. I would like to also thank Greg and the guys over at Doug’s Mufflers located in Mt. Mines is a v6 and I literally just did this! 2 flowmaster outlaws right off the headers and ran straight pipe right out the back sounds as good as a v6 can 🔥

@@johnnynguyen8337 if your at a normal cruise speed with a stable RPM then can't hear it at all. However if your in the gas at all you can definitely hear it

Just found this channel, I'm in the process of getting the same jeep. All the mods you've done have been prefect and really add to the jeep. That exhaust sounds really good

Man I’ll be 100% honest with you, I don’t like exhausts on V6 as much as others, but yours sounds perfect! And the intake certainly makes it sound less like a V6, and I actually really dig that sound. Mines got an even deeper growl than yours and I believe it’s due to all my piping (2015).
With that being said, sweet video as always! I couldn’t wait to watch this as soon as I got off work!
Thank you man, I really appreciate the honesty 🤟🏽 and yes that’s why I made it clear this wasn’t one of those “my V6 sounds better or louder than a V8” videos because that’s not true. I know exactly what it is and sounds like but the difference I actually like the V6 as much as I love the V8s. I’m a fan of both, so I love the sound difference this setup makes over stock. Not to loud or overbearing but deep and loud enough to sound better with a deeper tone from idle, to low speeds and WOT. So thank you brother and sorry for the delay on this one I had problems with some of the clips I recordered and had to record some with my camera and my phone 🙄

Nice setup! Sounds nice and subtle, but not loud. I do love the additional growl from the intake! My brother has the same Borla mufflers sitting in our garage after taking them off of his Lexus SC 430, so we were talking about putting them on my Jeep. I might try them without resonators or might do something with the piping… not sure which route I’ll take or I’ll even do it at all quite yet. If I ever do it, I’ll definitely let you know!

Appreciate the video. I suggest a follow up video, after one year because the ultra quiet actually get louder once they settle. I think the borlas will also settle in that time. On another note, they shouldn't have welded the hangar to the muffler body because I had that done and the weld will rip a hole seeing as the muffler is thin compared to the hangar. My muffler shop only welds the hangars to the ENDS of the mufflers because that is their strongest points. They however did a beautiful job on the bends and layout!!
Really glad I found your channel. I have a 2018 Altitude and the only thing I've done so far is the K&N CAI. I was actually looking into the AFE Power cat back exhaust, but these Borlas sound great. I wish I had dual exhaust on mine. Love the vids! keep it up!

@@bestduckyrblx2944 for me I’ve always loved the Borla sound so I knew that’s the route I was going. The Vibrants were chosen because my Jeep being a V6 I didn’t want it to sound to raspy or have tons of drone so I went with those to tone it down a bit and have been happy with the results.
@@BlklimitedX I see. How would you compare the difference between Borlas at the back and Vibrants at the back? I´m trying to make up my mind in what is the best way to lower the volume of the exhaust but without losing the deep sporty tone. Thank you in advance!

Sound awesome i love the quiet virbrant res i put it on all my cars setup now, but the ony thing you did ( not wrong but would be better ) is , dont mix chamber muffler with bullet res, bullet res=bullet muffler, chamber muffler need chamber res, would remove all the litle air restricted sound that it makes, sorry if you didnt hear it but now you will soàund good doh ,

I'm gonna install bottle style 2.5- 12 inch to quiet down my flowmaster super 10s they sound straight piped hopefully they help. Yours is just right not too loud

I put a Borla ProXS muffler on my car, and it had the worst drone of any muffler I’ve ever tried. I’m going to add the ultra quiet resonator like you did. Sure hope it helps.

Nice parts selection! It sounds great. Four and six cylinders can sound good. But I think its important to go with some extra resonators and good mufflers. I have a 2.5" catback stainless system on my PT Cruiser GT (turbo model) with two long resonators and a 16" long oval straight through muffler. Sounds almost as quiet as stock but has a much better tone. Refined and sporty, not tinny. If a PT Cruiser can sound ok, anything can. Lol

@@BlklimitedX Expensive time for them. I have my eyes on a sweet CPO '21 black on black High Altitude but haven't been able to pull the trigger because it has a Hemi.
@@bc67 yeah prices are ridiculous right now, I was glad I got mine when I did. And I originally was going to get the Hemi but there wasn’t any close except used ones with 30k plus miles on them and I wanted something new.
Is there any drone on it? It sounds great. I wanted something that is not too loud on my Durango GT and this sounds great.

I like this setup. Do you only hear the exhaust notes when you only step on it or do you hear it driving regularly also?
From what I can telling driving so far, it’s really deep and rumbles at cruising speeds especially below 3500 rpm. But once step on it you can still here it but I hear more of the engine and intake noise up front. So I like the combo of having the deep tone down low and intake sound at faster speeds.

Yes it was a 3 inch lol. The exhaust shop should be able to fab the 3 inch to a 2.5 inch pipe no problem.

Quick ? Why did you use the 3" X pipe instead of an 2.5"? Just trying to make sure im buying the right stuff.
Honestly I meant to get, 2.5 because that is the size for our pipes anyway but I didn't return it and the exhaust shop said it was fine and was able to fabricate pipes to make it work. You'll be fine with either size.

I have an Overland with a V6 and that does sound better and looks better. I never liked the Look of the Summit and Limited X exhaust but I do like my Overland Exhaust but this setup you have right here I really like a lot.

Just curious why did you use a 3" X pipe if you went with 2 1/2 pipe. Truck sounds amazing by the way this will be what i do to my 2019 Grand Cherokee Altitude
Honestly when I was buying the parts, I hadn’t known the pipes were 2 1/2 otherwise I’d have gotten that. But the guys at the shop made it work thankfully.

Love this sound all together. The K&N intake plus this exhaust setup is pretty nice being a V6. Borla has always had my favorite exhaust tone so this was a no brainer for me.

U Paid for parts and labor to make it quieter then it already was not hating but i have the same car with a muffler and resonator delete and an x pipe and I love the way it sounds
Why did u put resonators on it when u deleted the stock resonator ? Who advised to do that get rid of those resonators bro it will sound much better and you will get some cracks and pops to when shifting at higher rpm bro trust me
My thinking was trying to negate any rasp or drone and I figured the Vibrants would be much better than the stock resonator. But I do want it a little louder so I may go back and have them remove them.

Exactly, I didn’t want it to be to over board being it’s a V6 but I still wanted a deeper sounding tone and was able to accomplish that with this setup.
Roughly how much did they charge for the install?
They charged me 275 but it’ll depend on what you’re looking to get done.

I was thinking about getting a Rip Supercharger but I’m not sure I want to come out of pocket that much but we’ll see 🤷🏾♂️but until then I’m gonna buy some coil packs they sale that are supposed to give you some more horse power !

The shop charged me 300 for fab and labor

Hey Bro! Will this fit on a 2015 Dodge Challenger SXT+ V6 both the Borla Pro XS 40358 and the Vibrant Ultra resonators 1141?
The sizing in piping may be different but they should fit bro. They’re a universal application 🙌🏽
@@BlklimitedX Alright, are you going to remove the vibrant ultra resonators like one commentator suggested to you. That it will sound crispier and deeper. If you decide to do that and put a video on your channel to compare. And turns out that the sound is better without the vibrant resonators and still having minimal drone. It will save me money not to buy them 😃
