What a awesome video, my family is german, but they were from Zrenjanin. Nowadays I'm leaving in Brazil, so when i started watching this video it was like traveling back in time to see inside those houses, thank you for sharing it!
Hi! I'm very pleased to learn that some people from abroad want to settle and live in Serbia, while, in contrast, many Serbian citizens emigrate abroad... I presume that, depending on foreign income, everything makes the things easier and life in Serbia more comfortable. I wish you all the best and good luck with your adventure! 😊
Dear Katarina,, i hope that you were born in Serbia???Maybe you live there and now day??? Let me know how these strangers decide and buy the last choice with this big piece of land..(1.440 sq.m),, Government laws do not leave over 500 sq.m of land for foreigners... My regards to Serbia...I missed you...
Hi Warren and Julie, cool video!! Obviously you are not the buyers, but anyone coming from the States I recommend renting in a larger city. It's not very expensive, anyway. North Serbia(north of Belgrage is flatter and more expensive, south is hill and mountain country with great views and is cheaper). I recommend expats to explore the country and see what you like and dislike about certain areas. New and popular thing is prefabbed homes(drywall, siding, insulation) like we have here in the states. You buy a lot and pick your model and have it built and it's affordable. Labor in Serbia is very affordable and you can do a lot of renovations for very cheap. We have friends who have village property near Kragujevac and love spending the spring, summer and fall there gardening and taking care of their fruit trees. Take care!!
I think that the primary reason for buying a house and land is to obtain a permanent residence permit. The property owner automatically acquires the right to live in Serbia, ie. to stay here longer than 3 months, as long as tourists are allowed. Houses in neglected Vojvodina villages are quite cheap even for our, Serbian, standard. Especially for a married couple who came from America.
@@momirkoo well we did not buy it to obtain a visa. My wife is Serbian. We decided to buy a house as an investment. My visa/residence permit is based on marriage (15 years). Just because I am American does not mean I / we are rich. The choice we made when buying was after research according to what we have in mind.
@@Dalje1960 i not wrote about you and Daliborka but about other couple. Maybe I misunderstood who actually want to buy village land/real estate? I do not think that all americans are rich by default.. just want to mention that most of you have a much better standard than most Serbs. 🙂
@@momirkoo no worries.. Be happy.. I just prefer the smaller villages and simple way of life. Some Americans can not live without a busy city and will prefer Belgrade.
I definitely would recommend a visit as a tourist prior to buying a home. Maybe rent an Airbnb for a month. Long term rentals would be viable for someone here as an expat if they open a company or are employed in Serbia. Otherwise a home is the easiest and cost effective way to obtain Residency.
A garage in the centre of Belgrade is around EUR 15-20k. These prices are ridiculous. The only problem is - it is really difficult to sell a house in a village in Serbia, buying a house there is a sunk cost. Hence these prices.
I have to point out one thing-all the houses in Serbia are made of bricks or similar hard materials, none of that wooden or cardboard walls(no pun intended) like in the US😉
The last one would be great to setup a Finca like they do outside Medellin. Colombia. You buy a farm and pay local farmers to run it for you and build a separate small place on the land for yourself or for them. Normally you live in the city but come out to the farm to get out of the city occasionally and the famers make a living off the produce.
Also, keep in mind that most people in Serbian villages and rural areas do not know English. If you do not plan to learn Serbian, it can be a big problem in communication.
Fortunately the Google Translate app helps initially when exploring and getting to know an area or country. Long term learning is recommended of course.

Its so interesting that videos like these are never filmed during summer and when all is green. For example, In my 52 years, I have never seen any video in "western production" of (say) Russia, during summer. Have you? Its forever winter, dark and murky skies and no vegetation! Do houses in Serbia have Homeowners Associations (HOA) kind of organizations similar to the United States which charge mandatory monthly fees to tell the homeowners what they can or cannot do on their own piece of lands and houses?
These are OK for such low price but I don't know what all you'd have to do to make it a good investment. These days you can build a nice tiny home on a great spot and put it on airbnb and do very well. The last home was great!

@@WarrenJulieTravel Thank you for your reply. I am considering Serbia as i want to buy a small detached country property with land and no neighbours either side of my walls somewhere peaceful. I live in UK currently. I hope i can do this and gain longterm status to live there.
What are rents for the properties that you showed and what kind of market is there for rentals? And assuming there is no bank financing available and cash only?
Hi, I saw your video. I am very interested in buying property in Serbia. Are the Properties for sale a similar price or have they gone up in that area now? Could you help with who I could contact to see about buying a property in Serbia?
Very interesting video,,, BUT something is not true.. Unfortunately the strangers can not buy land over 500 sq,m.. and i know this because and me interested to buy a rural house with land .. What happened now???For example house no 3 had a big piece of land..
The prices are low, yes. But these houses have not been touched or renovated for more than a decade. Amount of energy and time to renovate these houses is absurd ( i just finished renovating grandparents house like ones in the video ) And i honestly do not recommend buying properties like these ones, especially if you are foreigner. Just my thoughts
If i was the owner of the house no.2, I would not accept any bargain. By the way, you cannot find nor buy larger piece of property then 1.2 acres to be designated for housing, so this could be opportunity to have your own garden in Banat village. Water supply differs from place to place and could be very useful to obtain data in this respect.
Serbia would be difficult for someone form the US to move to... Nice for a visit though when the weather gets a little nicer. The people from that part of the world are usually multi lingual.
I can't believe how dirt cheap it is. In Belgrade you could barely buy a garage at that price, some are even more expensive than that! It's really sad how much the Serbian countryside has died. Villages and small towns have became ghost towns. Everybody has migrated to the big cities - the only places you can get decent jobs. People are also moving abroad, each year the country loses people about the size of an average Serbian town.
I am sure I can live there... Rent now buy a little layer... How much for now ... Want to move as soon as possible.. 1 or two months ... Any african descent Serbia ???
You can find here some dirty cheap properties, becouse there is not enough demand now. Ppl are struggling for decades here, and salaries are little and is hard to afford a house, especially if you are not virtual worker in some way. Buying the land and making that house with all other buildings there can EASILY get u to spend 100k! For everyone who has money, and are retired or have a online job, it could be heaven.
Nice I was born in Bosnia. Serbia is nice. Money fr US helps. People in Serbia and Bosnia regular people have a hard time living their. Sue to iobs and income.
i have a tip for evryone : DO NOT renovate in serbia instantly , the longer you wait the cheaper it will be , we managed to save 60% on a renovation :)

Slazem se sa tobom ali svi nekako zele biti blizi velikim gradivima i naravno Evropi a to jeste slucaj sa Vojvodinom ,sto je steta.Mozda bi se stvar promenula da se vise reklamira jug Srbije.
Did you buy it? Do you have internet connection in this area?
Dale was our guest in this video. Yes they did buy and they have Internet.
Rents are inexpensive, a couple hundred maybe. They are thinking of Airbnb which increases the monthly take if its booked.
Awesome Vlog Warren lots of information, thanks 🙏 can you share attorney and your friends contact please. Lots of love from Colombo Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
Thanks we appreciate you watching 😊
Hi, I saw your video. I am very interested in buying property in Serbia. Are the Properties for sale a similar price or have they gone up in that area now? Could you help with who I could contact to see about buying a property in Serbia?
Are you interested in Novi Sad?
We have a realtor we can recommend to you there. We did a video with them as well.
@@WarrenJulieTravel Yes, I am, How do I go about getting in touch with the realtor there?

hi, just wondering what is the average renovation cost in Serbia?
Perhaps Dale could answer this. I recall during our visit he said about 15k-20k€ for some of these properties.
You don't take a dog in people's homes
SLOW DOWN WITH THAT CAMERA PLEASE. Land amount is good. With a ton of Reno...it will be great.
Nice video did they buy anything? Are these villages?
Yes, watch until the end 😁
They are villages
Sorry I jumped the gun
Very interesting video,,, BUT something is not true.. Unfortunately the strangers can not buy land over 500 sq,m.. and i know this because and me interested to buy a rural house with land .. What happened now???For example house no 3 had a big piece of land..
Dale's wife is Serbian. I assume she is allowed to buy land in Serbia.
I love you blog.how much monthly living cost

your videos are very informative - thanks, but camerawork makes me dizzy
Sorry, I’m just a guy sharing our world, not a professional cameraman by any means.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just a matter of time before investors and developers come in and scoop it and eventually ruin it. Sort of like Kiev and opportunist investors
Our friend did purchase two of them and has been restoring them. Thanks for watching.
Please can you explain yourself a little more?
@@deepdude4719 Which part?
I love how people in Serbia write nice comments, when there is a foreign video, but if it is Serbian video, it will be just provocation and bad words.
Is there internet in those houses.?
They should have access.
you misspelled their names guys
Yes, we’re aware. We can’t make the change however once it’s up.
So, you purchased two houses ?
Cool...
Yes, Dale and Dali did, not Julie and I .
hi ,Pls provide the email address of attorney u spoke in early video , thanks
Please go to the residency video description, it’ll be there. 😊
Am I right that you call this woman DaliborSka, and she should be Daliborka, without S in the middle?
You are correct 👍
Congrats...
I was with you at Cuenca
Thanks 😊
Nice 👍 I am also wana TRC, PLEASE SUGGEST budget home 🏠 or flat
Not sure what TRC is, we plan to do another Novi Sad real estate video soon.
It is a shame foreigners can not buy land in Serbia.
Foreigners can buy land through a corporation.
Serbia would be difficult for someone form the US to move to... Nice for a visit though when the weather gets a little nicer. The people from that part of the world are usually multi lingual.
There are many English speakers thankfully.
We weren’t aware of this ☹️
I am sure I can live there... Rent now buy a little layer... How much for now ... Want to move as soon as possible.. 1 or two months ... Any african descent Serbia ???
Daliborka not DaliborSKA ????
You can find here some dirty cheap properties, becouse there is not enough demand now. Ppl are struggling for decades here, and salaries are little and is hard to afford a house, especially if you are not virtual worker in some way. Buying the land and making that house with all other buildings there can EASILY get u to spend 100k!
For everyone who has money, and are retired or have a online job, it could be heaven.
Nice I was born in Bosnia. Serbia is nice. Money fr US helps. People in Serbia and Bosnia regular people have a hard time living their. Sue to iobs and income.
🇷🇸
Not for anything, but I’ll take Cuenca real estate instead 🏡
These are more rural, so it depends on what you're looking for. I'm trying to work on a city property tour as well.
come to nis :D
We will eventually
you need 30 at least to fix that up properly
Our friends purchased two properties and the budget for repairs was about 20k€ each.
I’d just buy land and build my own house.
Zasto ne kazete da su to kuce napravljene od blata i slame prije 50 godina i sad su samo za rusenje.
i have a tip for evryone : DO NOT renovate in serbia instantly , the longer you wait the cheaper it will be , we managed to save 60% on a renovation :)
Problem is no guarantees. No stability. Politics
Hei❤❤
Man, you guys have no idea what you buying, that kind of house and household it's something that is made to last, it's there for 100-150 years, maybe more! And, that place Perlez is founded by Spanish Jews refugee's.

Thanks.
Are you Warrsen or Warren? Because Daliborka is not Daliborska.
And there are no dragons in Serbia, could only be Dragan. So that can’t be the typo, but pure disrespect and lack of will to remember the names.
@@dusanvorkapic4187 well a mistake made three years ago in this video cannot be undone. It is what it is…
@@WarrenJulieTravel that’s true :)
Get of from this lend my friend. You need to spend more money for remodeling then buy new somevere around.
sehr Günstig
Daliborka........not Daaliborska.......well, originaly I am from that part of the world and I've heard a lots of girls/women bearing name Daliborka (without "S") but nerver Daliborska

Buy only house from bricks!
These people are just tire kickers l would imagine they don't have money
Try watching more than one video on the channel before making comments. If you watched this you would see they bought.
Arrogant moron
Wow,so cheap.
