Still friggen spewin I missed it. 2022 I WILL be there in Cobar. Will bring my 1.18 custom Fox.1 Challenger model. Have pics of the actual Hickson Rd (it's still there) in Sydney before they started building Barangaroo. With the Fox.1 model on the road in the spot where the real Fox.1 was. And pics from Hill 60 at Port Kembla in Wollongong where some of movie was shot. Excomunicated scene. It all comes running back. LEGENDARY.
Does anyone know the locations after the Challenge & Monaro race when Tony is in front of XY . Beach scene. And the location of Mikes house that the XY drives into ?
Mikes house was in the botany/easten suburbs area and that jump in the xy is around same area also the final scene is around container terminal area and the wire fence is still there next to the cemetery
@@darronmecak5720 Thnx mate. Wanna get up there when it's safe to. I finally got up to Belfield. Yellow Prem & Fox race. At Madeline St & Cook Park. Completely different. Alot of things have changed.
@@darronmecak5720I found out the jump in the XY was filmed in Thirroul on the South Coast. A couple of suburbs North of where I live. Went & took some photos. Bring on the ROEF 2022 in September. I am going up to Bumborah Pt Rd in Botany where some of the final race was filmed. Where they come down the hill & the car crash at intersection.
Do u know where the locations in Sydney were for start of movie ? Fox Vs Monaro & crash scene ? Chullora or Enfield maybe? I used to ride around that area in the early 80 on the bmx bike. And in the canals. And was the race actually filmed at Kemps Creek ? Think I found locations from Hill 60 at Port Kembla. Where Rammer rams back of XY. Have takin pics of my custom 1.18 Fox.1 model on Hickson Rd in Sydney before they started building Barangaroo. We need a Midnight Spares anniversary/reunion. U can still get to heaps of the locations. The 3 story house is still there at Ermington. The intersection of the crash between the 3 cars at Surry Hills. The overhead train bridge at Erskinville where the fake garage was. The laneway when they stole the cars from the underground carpark scene ( old Wynyard carpark) at start of movie. Sydenham where last chase scene was shot & the chop shop was. Buildings now demolished to make way for light rail. But still some of the canal is there. I have photos of all these locations.
@@StillSearchinThePageyTrain Update. Found out the location for 1st race between Challenger & Yellow Monaro. Madeline St (race) & Cook Park (crash) Belfield. And for end of final race between Challenger & Chevy. Fillming between Botany Cemetary & Bunnerong Power Station & at end of Bomborah Point RD.
I found this reply on Facebook... Sydney scene location.. Final scenes. Fox roars past.. looking down Prince Of Wales Dr Port Botany to Bumborah pt Rd..See Boral oil refinery [note rear of shot] which is now decommissioned & removed...
What are u doing ? Trying to lower property values. Wait till I get her hopping. MIKE - Hey ya we're u out driving last night by any chance were ya ? REBEL - Oh crazy man I've been sprung. Did ya hear me ? TONY- Never bloody saw ya that's for sure. And got Paul 'Cundalini' Johnston to sign my ROE dvd , Lecherous Garage Mechanic.
I think the 57 is a copy and not the original numbered 57 chevy 2 door used in the movie, unless he can provide proof via the directors and producers and especially the stunt men who made the car, then maybe i will believe it, its like the original mad max XB coup its never ever returned back to australia both cars 1 and 2 from the original movies, till real proof is provided then people will believe and not copied paperwork but original paperwork going back to 1988 when the 57 chevy was brought so said the owner? Val? Don't get me wrong but i remember watching the movie at Sunshine west drive in, and i lived right across the road from it and seen just a massive mount of burnouts from all different cars mostly Ford GT's but also holdens as well, monaro HQ's GTS HZ Manaro Limited Edition LE's and also done up 1976 Landau's as well all doing burn outs as they left the drive in in north sunshine. :) Most of the holdens manaros had the larger Caprice grilles and also the P6 LTD tail lights fitted and the same with some of the sedans HQ put the HZ/HX tail lights on the back, so HQ's looking like HZ/HX's GTS SS's etc. :)
The 57 Chev in movie was actually a 4 door. Rear doors welded up. Original 57 is being rebuilt & same bloke has Rammer. I think the GT they jumped over the hump (bent chassis rails) after being beaten by Fox.1 was fixed & is on the road. And don't forget the Valiant they dressed up to look like the Challenger in the final scene explosion on the bridge. Some people are just sore losers. There is a interview on UTube with the current owner & cars.
I met some of the special effects guys from the movie. it was their first gig. I think the did a bloody good job.
Some scenes filmed in Catt and Goldsmith timber yard used to be on Grt West Hwy rooty hill
