I love these. I watched your video some time back and got the supplies. Still haven’t made any. Watching this as a refresher and going to make some tonight.
wow I have looked at some other videos on this yours is the best one I have seen. thank you for explaining lots in this video. Now I can't wait to start making my own.
You all probably dont give a shit but does anybody know a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost my password. I would love any tips you can give me.
@Juelz Dante thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
You can also use the denim setting for that material. I bought the same one from hobby lobby and it worked perfect! Love your channel! Thank you for all the videos you put up 💛
I couldn't agree more about Cricut's tools. They're well-made beyond their price tag. Although I didn't love their roller cutter I do love their tweezers SO MUCH :) And their wedding picks and stuff.
I just ordered the key fob tool. I will make some of these key holders for Christmas presents. They can also be used on wallets, so there is more than one option!
I cut all the hobby lobby faux leather on my explore air 2 with the fine point blade. I use the shimmer leather setting but before ejecting it I cut it 3 times, and clean my blade in between each cut. Comes out clean every time! Also if I have issues with the faux leather not sticking to my mat I use strong grip transfer tape between the leather and my mat
Love these. I just purchased some faux leather for another project but am def going to give these a try as well. Thanks for sharing and always providing us with detailed instructions in your videos.
I dont have or use a cricut but couldnt you attach the glitter vinyl sheet to the faux leather sheet, then use the software to cut multiple rectangles at once? If you can it may save you time, idk
Thank you so much for making this tutorial! It was the perfect tutorial to help me make a new product I’ve been envisioning for months, and had no idea how to put together!!
Great video. I have a quick question. My tool is one size and I have different sizes of key rings. Mine didn’t just pop in there so easy and lined up. Does each pliers need to be the size of the hardware? Or it’s just that I am new to making them. I do have key rings that are my size of the pliers.
I saw this on tiktok last night and then got the "recommendation" on youtube this morning yay! Haha. I really want to try this but I definitely need more blades first. I just started using the cricut explorer air 2.
I am always thrilled when I find that you have a tutorial on something new I want to do. You’re so thorough and easy to follow 😃. Do you think you could put names on these with vinyl?.... either HTV or permanent
♥♥♥ Thanks for sharing! I purchased one of these over 4 years ago new at a yard sale and it's been my forever favorite and now that I have a Cricut I am ordering the kit like now and making me a new one!!
What setting on the Cricut did you use to make such a nice pass on both Faux Leather and HTV? Was it a custom setting or a preset? Which blade and what amount of pressure?
I’ve been using my fine point blade and upping the pressure on faux leather to 350 and taking of the 2nd pass. It’ll work until I get a deep cut blade anyways.
Hello love your tutorials 💕 question after you heat press the HTV you put the mat in the cricut n the machine cuts what setting or what is it on for it to cut once u put it in the second time?
Thank you so much! I chose the canvas setting and instead of unloading the mat when it was done I press the C button and when you do that it'll cut it one more time with the canvas setting. I felt like it needed to but cut twice just to fully cut through the material :)
These are so great. Made a few myself. So easy. Have you tried using this same faux leather to make earrings or other projects? If so, did it work well with the rotary tool?
Very cute but I would heat press first and then in design space lay it out so that no material is wasted....wouldn't even bother with using the rotary cutter.
Thank you! ❤️ if I was making multiple I would just heat press the glitter vinyl onto the faux leather and not worry about the rotary cutter but since I was only making one that’s why I cut it down, I probably could have cut it a little closer to the 1”x11”
I have an explore air 1 and I made earrings out of this kind of faux leather and definitely was able to use my fine point blade. I know I did a few test runs on it to figure out the exact cut settings but I was able to do it!
That is awesome!! I tried it with my fine point blade and it was struggling to cut through this faux leather but I'm wondering if my blade is getting a little dull. What setting did you use? Otherwise, I usually have no problems cutting faux leather with the fine point blade. :)
This is awesome thanks for sharing. I cant belive I'm saying this as much as I love a sparkle. I wouldn't put the glitter inside the wristlet. Glitter will be everywhere
is there any other fabric/ material you think would work well instead? also if so would you recommend using the rotary blade or the fine point blade for any other materials? love your crafts!! tysm 💞
Thank you!! You can find faux leather from Cricut, 143vinyl.com (they used to be called 651viyl), and Etsy or Amazon. The majority of the faux leather you buy will work really well with the fine point blade. The material I used here from Hobby Lobby was thicker than any faux leather I've used in the past so I ended up having to use the rotary blade. I hope that helps! 💕
Can you put vinyl on the outside too? The leather side? I’m thinking of making these for my company as an event giveaway, but I want to be able to put our logo and number on the outside of it.
Have a question. Just purchased my first Cricut joy and How can I convert a Cut Studio file (*.cst) into a cricut joy file. If possible thanks for you videos I can’t wait to start.
These looked amazing I can't wait to make one for myself. I had a Victoria Secret's one that unfortunately broke. What a waste of $16 when I could have just made it myself.
For the material I used here from Hobby Lobby you would probably need the deep but blade - it has a sharper curve to the blade to allow it to cut into thicker material but most faux leather that you'll buy can easily be cut with the fine point blade. I hope that helps! :) You can buy those thinner faux leather from 142vinyl.com, Cricut, Etsy, Amazon, ect.
I usually cut the vinyl and the htv with the cricut separately you get less waste. If i cut a whole sheet i can do 8 at a time. Then i just iron the 1" strips together.
Do you think I can use the standard grip and just tape the edges? I barely got my cricut maker and I’m going to make tags for my mom’s crochet pieces. I already spent so much so am trying to stay away from buying more at least til next month. 😂
Im sorry but im a beginner at this. I was looking up on amazon the leather material and there's to much to choose from how do i know which one to get? Can anyone help me out please 🤝
Amazon shows this key fob hardware is currently unavailable. Can you suggest what to purchase with the same measurements instead and do you have a design space template for this?
Why don't you attach the faux leather and vinyl together THEN cut? That feels like it would be easier and fast, plus less waste. Would that work? This is STUNNING by the way! LOOOOVE how it turned out!
Hi I’m not sure if this has been asked but I made a key fob for my sister and on one end it didn’t stick to the leather so I was wondering on how do you open it once you’ve already closed it? Not sure if that makes sense but thanks for the video and all help
This is probably one of the best youtube videos Ive ever watched! It wasnt too wordy and she explained everything you needed to know. Thank you!!!!!!!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad!!! 💖
I love these. I watched your video some time back and got the supplies. Still haven’t made any. Watching this as a refresher and going to make some tonight.
You just gave me an idea , that I will be doing , different from what you did ; but it sparked a new rare thought I’ll create. Thanks luv.
wow I have looked at some other videos on this yours is the best one I have seen. thank you for explaining lots in this video. Now I can't wait to start making my own.
Totally agree....best video
Definitely trying this , I ordered the supplies so wish me luck. Thank you for such a detailed video.
I struggled very much with my cricut air 2 cutting this material. The maker is definitely the best option. These are super cute!!
Where can I buy the key rings from in the uk?🥺
@@angelbarton960 try AliExpress
For this leather, use the Denim setting with the rotary blade ♥️
I just want to say I think your profile pic looks so cute 🥰.
You all probably dont give a shit but does anybody know a trick to get back into an instagram account??
I was stupid lost my password. I would love any tips you can give me.
@Israel Wesley Instablaster =)
@Juelz Dante thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Juelz Dante it worked and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my account :D
I just made my first key fob/wristlet from watching your video!!! Thank you so much for the assistance!!!
These are so cute the pink is extra beautiful!!
I have yet to open my Cricut but now I want to make this ASAP 😍
You can also use the denim setting for that material. I bought the same one from hobby lobby and it worked perfect! Love your channel! Thank you for all the videos you put up 💛
Adaisha Mohrbacker thanks!! :) I’ll give that a try! 🥰
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have made 15 of these today already.
Exciting!! They are so fun to make!! :)
Can u tell me what the tool call for the keychain please and thank u
I couldn't agree more about Cricut's tools. They're well-made beyond their price tag. Although I didn't love their roller cutter I do love their tweezers SO MUCH :) And their wedding picks and stuff.
Vincent Ferrari HEY!! How have you been?!? Yes! Definitely agree! They were really thinking when they chose the different tools!
I just ordered the key fob tool. I will make some of these key holders for Christmas presents. They can also be used on wallets, so there is more than one option!
Exciting!! They are so fun to make and I think they would make great Christmas presents! That’s such a good idea to attach them to wallets! ❤️
I followed this tutorial to a T! It was super easy to follow and complete! Thank you so much for this video!
I cut all the hobby lobby faux leather on my explore air 2 with the fine point blade. I use the shimmer leather setting but before ejecting it I cut it 3 times, and clean my blade in between each cut. Comes out clean every time! thank you for the Amazon tool link - I ordered it. I enjoyed your tutorial.
Again, thank you for sharing all your secrets with us!!
You're welcome!! 🥰
Love these. I just purchased some faux leather for another project but am def going to give these a try as well. Thanks for sharing and always providing us with detailed instructions in your videos.
Ty for such an easy to understand tutorial!
Great tutorial, u make it very easy to understand
I dont have or use a cricut but couldnt you attach the glitter vinyl sheet to the faux leather sheet, then use the software to cut multiple rectangles at once? If you can it may save you time, idk
Love them. I had a bunch of HB faux leather, so purchase the kit. Let the fun begin. Have you tried the Cricut faux leather?
Thank You. You make everything seem so easy to do. I can't wait to try these.
This is a great tutorial. Thank you. Ordered my supplies and gonna try this out
Thank You For Your Expertise And Showing us how to do these key fob holders
I can't get enough of your channel 🤩🤩🤩
The fobs turned out really cute! You did a great job!
Love these just made my first one now I’m hooked. Easy to follow directions
Thank you!! So exciting. They seriously are so fun! :)

Is the glitter htv itchy on your wrist if you were to be carrying your keys around?
It’s definitely softer without it but it’s really not too bad! I don’t feel like it’s itchy just not as soft. :)
Good question! Definitely something to think about when making these!
Can you leave the leather without the HTV on the inside? Or what is the point of the HTV on the inside?
Thank you for such a detailed video!
Thank you so much for this I have so much faux leather 😍
I saw this on tiktok last night and then got the "recommendation" on youtube this morning yay! Haha. I really want to try this but I definitely need more blades first. I just started using the cricut explorer air 2.
That's awesome!! 🥰
I am always thrilled when I find that you have a tutorial on something new I want to do. You’re so thorough and easy to follow 😃. Do you think you could put names on these with vinyl?.... either HTV or permanent
I love this tutorial. How do you prevent the HTV from being scratchy and rough when put on the wrist?
♥♥♥ Thanks for sharing! I purchased one of these over 4 years ago new at a yard sale and it's been my forever favorite and now that I have a Cricut I am ordering the kit like now and making me a new one!!
Is there anything else you can use to attach the hardware if you don't have the pliers ?
I was coming to ask the same.
the minute i saw this video i just had to make them. so adorable thank you for the tutorial.
Tank you so much!! They are really fun to make! :)
Do you have a video or tips for a cricut joy please?
What setting on the Cricut did you use to make such a nice pass on both Faux Leather and HTV? Was it a custom setting or a preset? Which blade and what amount of pressure?
I love your videos. They are helpful and detailed but straight to the point. Thank you!
Love your video but I'm having problems cut it.. I used the cricut marker at 4000 with extra pressure no cut. What am I doing wrong 😕
Newbie here , I’m so excited to make them they look great 😊
This is so amazing! I’m going to make some as Christmas gifts this year!
Thank you!! They would make great Christmas gifts! :)

I made these last night. And I love them. So easy to make and they turned out amazing cute. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome!! I'm so glad!!
OMG. I LOVE This. Thank you so much for sharing, Now I need to go get me this and make it my 1st project. I love love it.
Great video thank you. Do you need to seal the edges?
Adorable. I think I want To try my hand at that
Great video! Quick question…. What is the tool called that you clamp the fob hardware to the leather? Do you happen to have a link?
I'm going to try this, this weekend. Thank you!
Can I ask is there an svg you used to cut the size you needed? Or if you can help me figure that out thank you
I have the rose gold cricut faux leather. I guess it’s thick not sure what blade to use pulse what htv backing would you use with that color?
the black check pattern I would have put on the back black glitter!
Hello love your tutorials 💕 question after you heat press the HTV you put the mat in the cricut n the machine cuts what setting or what is it on for it to cut once u put it in the second time?

Have you tried using this same faux leather to make earrings or other projects? If so, did it work well with the rotary tool?
Hi, Can i do this with the cricut explore 2 machine?
I didn't realize how easy it was to make this type of keychain
Very cute but I would heat press first and then in design space lay it out so that no material is wasted....wouldn't even bother with using the rotary cutter.

Thank you!! lol I love sparkle also - the glitter is heat transfer vinyl so it actually doesn't shed any glitter at all which is so nice! :)
That is great to know
Does the heat transfer vinyl on the back help to stiffen it up? My faux leather is then and flimsy
is there any other fabric/ material you think would work well instead? also if so would you recommend using the rotary blade or the fine point blade for any other materials? love your crafts!! tysm 💞

Love this! Would regular permanent vinyl or HTV work on these to personalize?
Súper cutes ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Have a question. Just purchased my first Cricut joy and How can I convert a
Cut Studio file (*.cst)
into a cricut joy file. If possible thanks for you videos I can’t wait to start.
Love these key fobs so pretty. Can i ask Where u buy ur glitter iron on vinyl please? Hobby craft is quite expensive for how much u get 😭
Thanks for this video! Do you know if I could do this with my Explore Air 2, or just a Maker?
Omg those would make great gifts
I think so too!! :) I was thinking after I made the video, you could even personalize them by adding someone’s name with vinyl.
@@KaylasCricutCreations thank you for sharing! I like the idea of adding someone's name. Do you recommend permanent vinyl or iron-on vinyl?
Pauline Manglona you could probably do either one but I would most likely use iron-on vinyl!
Your videos are amazing thank you
These looked amazing I can't wait to make one for myself. I had a Victoria Secret's one that unfortunately broke. What a waste of $16 when I could have just made it myself.
Oh that is the worst! These turned out to be pretty easy to make and I love how you can customize them however you want. :) Thank you so much!
I love these.😍 I'm definitely going to try this. Thanks for sharing. 😊
What if I don’t have a deep cut blade? (I have the explore air 2) can I just use the one it comes with and just put the cut setting to “deep”?
For the material I used here from Hobby Lobby you would probably need the deep but blade - it has a sharper curve to the blade to allow it to cut into thicker material but most faux leather that you'll buy can easily be cut with the fine point blade. Very nice tutorial. What blade are you using for cutting ?
Do you have trouble with them frizzing on the ends?
Hi can you use foam instead of faux fur
Thank you for sharing your crafts!
Love this thank you for sharing 🥰
I usually cut the vinyl and the htv with the cricut separately you get less waste. If i cut a whole sheet i can do 8 at a time. Then i just iron the 1" strips together.

If you wanted to monogram the front of the keychain, would you use htv too or permanent vinyl?
Hi! I would use htv also for the front and look up the heat setting for iron on vinyl on faux leather. :)
Love the rose gold one.
Thank you for the tutorial. I love your videos, excellent instruction for us newbies! I can't wait to make some for my friends.
Have you tried the Amazon faux leather? It come in great patterns and large quantities.
They look awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Is it possible to put htv on the printed side of the faux leather? Tia
With it being 11 inches, does that give room for it to go on the wrist?
Im sorry but im a beginner at this. I was looking up on amazon the leather material and there's to much to choose from how do i know which one to get? Can anyone help me out please 🤝
OMG!! I can't wait to make these!! Thanks for sharing!! 😊
So the blades for Cricut you have to purchase them separately ?
Is it normal for the curve of the wristlet to wrinkle where the vinyl is
Love it.!! Thanks so much for the tutorial!! Have everything I need so now I’m ready to create!
Amazon shows this key fob hardware is currently unavailable. Can you suggest what to purchase with the same measurements instead and do you have a design space template for this?
Such a well explained video! Thank you 🙏

Does this glitter fall off, if so can there be something sprayed on it to keep glitter from rubbing off?
