Hi! A tip: When you're about to put your hardware, just staple your two ends together. You will not see it at all once your hardware is in, and it will for sure not move at all. Great video!
This is how I do it as well with two little changes. I always add a heat transfer vinyl to the back of the faux leather band and then sew a line of topstich 1/8" from both edges to make it look more professional and finished. I sell these 10$/1 or 2 for $15.
Can you apply word with HTV to the inside of the glitter faux leather please . Great video by the way often you cant see of they presume you know something . But you did a clear demo for easy following
I've been wanting to do this, but I have a explore air 2 and have been afraid to do it on that machine. Somebody told me I would need a deep cut blade to make them on the air 2. I was just going to cut thr leather out by hand and make the words/designs on my explore. Now that I know I can do it on the air 2 I'm going to try to make it. Thanks for the video. Love your videos
Thank you! I used hot glue on my first faux leather project and it was soooo bumpy! I have fabric glue and the E6000 and will definitely be using one or the other!!!
You’re welcome! For glitter vinyl I cut on the glitter setting. Here is Cricut’s material settings. help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009504773-Which-materials-can-I-cut-with-my-Cricut-Explore-and-Cricut-Maker-machine-

It’s called a brayer. You can find it here using my affiliate link cricut.pxf.io/c/3575984/1253601/15311?prodsku=2003923&u=https%3A%2F%2Fcricut.com%2Fen-ca%2Ftools-accessories%2Fhandheld-tools%2Fcrafting-tools%2Fapplicator-and-remover-set%2F2003923.html&intsrc=PUI2_9492
It could depend on the type of leather you are using. Tape is always a good option. Also if the texture of your leather is different on the top then the bottom try flipping it over to see if it sticks better on the other side. Glad you figured it out. Happy crafting!

@@littlecraftnest Thank You I’ll give that a try. 😊
How do they hold up over time?
So far they are holding up. But with anything there will be normal wear and tear depending on how much it’s used.
Whats the roller thing you usw to roll over the leather om the mat?
It’s called a brayer. You can find it here using my affiliate link cricut.pxf.io/c/3575984/1253601/15311?prodsku=2003923&u=https%3A%2F%2Fcricut.com%2Fen-ca%2Ftools-accessories%2Fhandheld-tools%2Fcrafting-tools%2Fapplicator-and-remover-set%2F2003923.html&intsrc=PUI2_9492
The leather doesn't stick to any mat, not even a new one, I had to use tape to keep it steady and then it worked out just fine
