how the size compared to other helmets? i really want to order a helmet from them but i hate returning stuff its always a pain in the ass im using a shoei XL right now and it fits like a glove
I just got the K1 Dreamtime graphic from you guys over the weekend. I have to say that the amount of helmet you get for $249 has me questioning the higher price tags on these other helmets. The K1 is extremely comfy, great race fit, great quality, and not heavy. And I've owned a Shoei RF, Arai Corsair, etc... I really want to try an AGV Corsa R now. I hear its basically a lighter K1.
My head is 7 1/8 inches diameter. I bought the MS size. Putting it on for the first time after about 10 minutes I remember feeling like it was going to give me a headache if it kept wearing it. After about an hour and a half of wearing it it felt way more comfortable and snug fit. I don't even notice I'm wearing while riding now. There is great airflow from the vents and the pinlock ready visors are a great feature.
@@dallantobler6144 Some of us ride day and night. So, I prefer to not have to wear sunglasses with the clear visor or carry a clear visor when I'm going to be out until night. Just easier to have them both built in.
I ordered one for a Christmas present. Pretty sure it was a Tuesday and it came in Thursday. I was so surprised. It was honestly a day and a half bc I ordered in the afternoon and it came in Thursday morning. It might help that I live in NJ and their warehouse is in Pennsylvania. Great helmet, perfect fit at ML. I put in a blue visor from motorcycle mall. The solid white and blue visor is legendary. Can’t wait to finally ride in it. It’s been cold lately so I’m waiting for a good day with minimal wind.
Rence Fabian did you pay extra for shipping? Or did it arrive that fast with their standard free shipping? I just ordered one in white yesterday. Can’t wait for it to arrive
Can someone help, im a total begginer to begin with. Ive heard somewhere around 4:20 - 5:00 that hes talking about integratable bluetooth speakers, can someone talk me into that, give a few on whats good and bad, what to look for etc.
I got this helmet seeing it was AGV. I was like a Dainese company pioneered by a Moto Gp great Valentino Rossi. Then when I got the helmet, it wasn't too bad for a while. Then little things started happening, then bigger things, I started to notice. Like the chin curtain keep coming off and isn't air tight, and during the day the visor doesn't have a hint of glare, but for some reason at night it glares horribly, worse than my old $80 bilt helmet. The helmet is also very loud, thanks to it's good airflow and other seals that are meant to be closed but slightly open, like the chin curtain I was talking about. Or the whole bottom plastic lining that goes around the helmet. Bought a new visor online which is coming from italy, and adjusted parts of the helmet. Hopefully next ride it'll better. But it isn't a completely bad helmet, it just has its issues.
These ones below will fit-- make sure to get the correct size for your helmet. -Kraus-e *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-gt-2-pinlock-ready-face-shield
If the helmet is hard to take off does that mean it's too small? I got a ML and my head measures at 58cm but I find the opening to be super tight making it hard to take off... Kind of gives me minor claustrophobia...
A helmet that fits properly snug should be hard to put on and take off. If your head measures 58cm, ML is very very likely the correct size for you. I recommend you put the helmet on, open the face shield, and try to watch TV for 30-40 minutes. If you feel claustrophobic, try shorter times and work your way up. The helmet should be as snug as possible without giving you a headache. It should squeeze your cheeks and take effort to remove. -DrewZilla
Considering this for my first helmet. My riding style will be upright primarily city commuting perhaps on something like a Honda Rebel 500 starting out. Would the AGV K1 be a good option? I'd like to go with the Shoei RF-1200 but just can't afford it along with all the other gear.
It's on the sporty side of things, but it'd work just fine. People wear race helmets on Goldwings all the time-- it just is what it is. When you think about it, we all look forward at the same angle so the category of helmet isn't tremendously important. Race helmets will perform best at high speeds and they'll be noisy, but they still work well enough for everyday riding. The K1 is a normal street helmet, just with some racey styling and design cues. -Kraus-e
Did you get the K1? How is it because im in a very similar position, I want a K1 but wondering if its too sporty for the type of bike I like (also looking at Honda rebel)
There are 2 Shell sizes? At which size do they use the big shell and at which size its the smaller shell? Is the MS 57 the small shell and ML 58 the big shell? @revzilla
What is the fit of the AGV K1 in MS size compared to AGV K5S? K5S was too narrow for me. This is not my shape. So my head is wider than AGV engineers maked in K5S's internal shape.
Sorry to crash this review but I really need some input from people who have worn the 3 helmets I'm considering. I have the original Rossi duplicate "5 Continents" K3, so I know the helmet suits my head shape etc. But being only a K3 there's no internal visor which is a PITA because I like to ride with my visor up a lot but wearing sunnies hurt against the side of the head, hence wanting to update to an internal sun visor. I figured I'd get the black 2017 version of the K3 SV,- I don't know if the fit and so on have changed a lot so it's a bit of an unknown. But then I started hearing about the HJC IS-17 Lank which has so many good sounding features and seems to get great reviews from the majority I've come across, I can also get the HJC I-S Max 2 modular for just a little more than the AGV, while the Lank is a good $50 less than both. I just don't live anywhere near a store to try them on. TBH I don't even know if Australian bike stores even carry HJC, so unfortunately I'm taking a risk with either helmet, especially as they're all on the lower end of helmet quality, so I'm worried about noise, reliability, longevity of the parts, ease of use, comfort etc. etc. So is there any chance that you could give me a basic idea of the pros and cons of the three helmets? Does one model stand out or are they fairly similar? Is there one that you would avoid? (I'm a weekend rider btw). I'd be super grateful if you get the time to answer any of this and sorry for the epic comment :)
Your original K3 had a rounder fit, while the K3 SV has a slightly narrower and longer intermediate oval fit. The two HJCs fit in between your original K3 and the new K3 SV. Therefore, I'd recommend going with either of the two HJCs. -DrewZilla
RevZilla Thanks for taking the time to reply (it was a very long comment!). Yeah, I have a little head and a small face which is why my AGV fit so well- I bought a shark in size small and it was _way_ too big. I'll definitely go the HJC then, thanks again :)

Best value depends on what your needs are for the helmet and riding type. The K1 is a bit more street sport aggressive in its design and ventilation, whereas the i10 is a bit more relaxed and upright riding friendly. How's the wind noise on this helmet? First helmet I purchased was an hjc is17 and the wind noise Is horrid on the highway so I'm looking at getting out of it.
The wind noise is average but still a bit quieter than the IS-17. Of course, we do recommend wearing earplugs with all helmets. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/agv-k1-helmets

Hey everyone, i wanna buy a new helmet and i was thinking about the shoei nxr, but when i see this agv k1 model i always say that i wanna buy it because it looks soo good to me. I am thinking tho...is this helmet good for a motorcycle like the tracer 900? How it is in higher speeds, also protection is u fall and what about wind noise?
Any chance that you could talk a little slower? Can’t under stand half of what you are saying which is a shame cause you have done some good reviews. Many thanks from a Brit biker
We updated the drop down on the page for the K1 S Helmet so you can select your size and which shield will work for it. We imagine you own the K1 S Helmet, since the original K1 didn't have a Medium - it had the MediumSmall and MediumLarge options. Hopefully that helps but if you need more help please reach out to our Customer Service teams for support! www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-helmets-k1-s-k5-s-pinlock-ready-face-shield
Thermoplastic helmets are still able to meet DOT, ECE, and Snell ratings, so I wouldn't say they are unsafe. However, if you want a stronger composite shell helmet with a similar look to the K1, then consider the AGV K5 S (bit.ly/384Urrn). -DrewZilla
@RevZilla Do you guys have a tinted pinlock insert that works with the K1 visor? Additionally, which tinted Visor is swappable with the one that's already fitted on the K1?
The K1 uses AGV's "XQRS" system, which makes me think it'll use the GT-2 Face shield below. It comes in plenty of tints and colors, but the Pinlock insert will always be clear. *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-gt-2-pinlock-ready-face-shield *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-gt-2-pinlock-insert-lens
I would go with the Shoei, I think it's the best helmet you can get currently. The RPHA 11 Pro is a decent alternative, and honestly better at track speeds (it's a race helmet). But the 1200 is plenty sporty and excels at those speeds. It's also quite a bit more compact and has a higher build quality. -Kraus-e
Both use the same thermoplastic shell construction, but the K1 looks more like the race-level Pista and Corsa helmets with its longer spoiler. In addition to the sun visor, the K3 SV also has a slightly nicer inner liner material. Beyond that, ventilation is about the same. So it really comes down to budget and whether you really want an internal sun visor. -DrewZilla
Unfortunately, no, the visor for the K1 is different than the visor for the Corsa and Pista. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-gt-2-pinlock-ready-face-shield *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-pista-gp-r-corsa-r-face-shield
You wouldn't be getting the most out of the ventilation and aerodynamics of the helmet, since they are designed for higher speeds/sport riding positions, but you would still be able to use it on a Scooter if you wanted to. For the most part - a helmet is a helmet and will protect you if the worst should happen. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks at 877.792.9455 or CS@revzilla.com. Ride safe, -Pat
The K1 comes with a clear visor from the box. Smoke visors are available here: www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-gt-2-pinlock-ready-face-shield?rrec=true -Zack
I have a K3 SV, I’m assuming this is like a “downgrade“ from that helmet right? The only problem I have with the K3 is that when I get on the tuck position on the track I can’t see ahead because of the street oriented fit. Does this helmet have that same problem? Because I really like it
Not really a downgrade in protection or quality. The main difference is the lack of an internal sun visor. For those that want an internal sun visor, there's the K3 SV. For those that don't need that and want to save a bit of money, there's the K1. As for visibility, it's about the same as the K1, so you might have the same issue. -DrewZilla
Neither is better. Both have a similar shell construction and quality. The difference is that the K3 SV has an internal sun visor, which makes it more expensive. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/agv-helmets
The K1 has a thermoplastic outer shell and no internal sun visor. The K3 SV also has a thermoplastic outer shell, but it also has an internal sun visor. The K5 S uses a stronger carbon-fiberglass composite outer shell and has an internal sun visor. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/agv-k1-helmets *www.revzilla.com/agv-k3-sv-helmet *www.revzilla.com/agv-k5s-helmets
If you have a rounder head shape, then you should consider a rounder helmet. Sizing up isn't a good, safe way to get a helmet unfortunately. This helmet is a bit rounder than other intermediate oval helmets, so you might try size ML. If ML doesn't fit, then consider a round oval helmet likely in size medium (MD). -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/agv-k1-helmets *www.revzilla.com/round-oval-motorcycle-helmets
@@RevZilla thanks man also can you help me choose .. which of these following do you think is that best for value for money Hjc TR-1 skyride or hjc IS -17 or Agv k1 ? Or any other good helmet under 250$ .. Help
Great observation! Yep, just rode home with my new Rosi Soleluna k1 and went with a size Large for a bit more snug fit instead of XL. When I put it on in the parking lot, the top pad came off the velcro attachment and the front of the helmet scraped my forehead. Super annoying since mine was over $300 after tax. Gotta do something about that velcro. Would have been nice if they put the scratchy part of the Velcro on the liner, not the helmet. Oh well, can’t expect Italians to have American sense. Like everything Italian, it excels in the looks department at the expense of everything else.
They don't make a photochromic transitions lens. They make an electronic e-Tint LCD face shield, but it only fits the expensive Pista, Corsa, and Veloce helmets. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-agvisor-lcd-face-shield
Is the price of the k5 worth it over this k1? I love the materials used in the k5 and love the design of the k1, is the fiber glass/carbon construction worth the price over the thermoplastic resin of the k1? I really love the design of both helmets with the k1 edging out but I would rather have the best protection for my head. The drop down visor is a non issue for me
The fiberglass/carbon shell is nice, yes, but if you don't need the sun visor, I would save the money and go with the K1. Both offer similar protection. You might actually get slightly better forehead protection on the K1, due to the lack of the sun visor. -DrewZilla
@@RonaiHenrik I had K5 but ML size was bit large, I m buying K1 and I choose MS , what do you think? will be ok? I like bit tight. Thanks to all of you
This would be a great option for those looking for Rossi graphics/AGV graphics or a sportier look than the other two. Otherwise the RF-1200 has a bit more tried and trued technology/design to it. If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach out to our Gear Geeks at cs@revzilla.com or 877.792.9455. Ride safe, -Pat
Yes, the K5 is higher quality than the K3 SV and K1. The K5 uses a nicer carbon-fiberglass composite shell, while the other two use more affordable thermoplastic shells. -DrewZilla
Generally by trying different helmets on. If you try an intermediate oval helmet on and you feel forehead pressure, you might have a long oval. If you try an intermediate oval and get pressure on the sides of the head above the ears, you might have a round oval head shape. If an intermediate oval helmet fits well, that's probably your shape. -DrewZilla
The Veloce S is a step up, as it uses a carbon/fiberglass composite and Pista/Corsa-style thicker face shield. The K1 uses a more affordable polycarbonate shell and more affordable face shield design. Since the Veloce S is on closeout sale, it's a pretty good deal right now. -DrewZilla
This helmet can certainly get you to the track if you needed it too, but I wouldn't say its a great option if you are entering races. At that point you might want to invest more into the helmet for better track performance than this primarily street helmet. It really depends on how close the arms of your glasses sit to your temples. If they sit close, they should work with the K1. Otherwise, you might consider the Scorpion EXO-R420, which has more room for glasses. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/agv-k1-helmets *www.revzilla.com/scorpion-exo-r420-helmets

I have the same helmet i am a new biker this helmet is heavy i have nick problems now and i've been using it for almost a week.
I'm almost sold....but I have a BMW R1250GS, which will be on road 90% of the time with some few hour journey's. Good helmet for me you think?
This helmet is more for the Sport Bike riding position and 100% on-road riding. You may want to look at some other options like the AGV K6 to suit your bike and longer rides better.
It is good for a Tracer 900, and protection is good, but it is not as quiet as the NXR (RF-1200 in US). -DrewZilla
Any chance that you could talk a little slower? Can’t under stand half of what you are saying which is a shame cause you have done some good reviews. Many thanks from a Brit biker
I ordered a K-1 medium size helmet, but the shield is divided into MS ML, which shield should I buy?
We updated the drop down on the page for the K1 S Helmet so you can select your size and which shield will work for it. We imagine you own the K1 S Helmet, since the original K1 didn't have a Medium - it had the MediumSmall and MediumLarge options. Hopefully that helps but if you need more help please reach out to our Customer Service teams for support!

@@RevZilla Is it possible to buy k-1s M size only for Clear Shield?
I love this helmet, but its made of thermoplastic resin. As far as I know its the least safe and cheap option.
What should I do?
Thermoplastic helmets are still able to meet DOT, ECE, and Snell ratings, so I wouldn't say they are unsafe. However, if you want a stronger composite shell helmet with a similar look to the K1, then consider the AGV K5 S (bit.ly/384Urrn). -DrewZilla
Currently own the k3 sv would this be worth buying over what I already have?
If you already own the K3 SV, you probably don't need the K1. -DrewZilla

Hi, I am bit confused between k1 or Ls2 FF327 Challenger.

Yes, both helmets use the same GT 2 Face Shield.

Honestly I’m broken between the shoei from 1200 or hjc rpha 11 pro for a ninja 400 that goes 90+ mph on highway daily... what are your thoughts?
I would go with the Shoei, I think it's the best helmet you can get currently. The RPHA 11 Pro is a decent alternative, and honestly better at track speeds (it's a race helmet). But the 1200 is plenty sporty and excels at those speeds. It's also quite a bit more compact and has a higher build quality. -Kraus-e
Thank you so much for your help!
You're welcome!
Need help choosing this or the k3SV, what’s the difference other than the visor ? Thanks
MIRIN GAINES k3 is ece approved
Both use the same thermoplastic shell construction, but the K1 looks more like the race-level Pista and Corsa helmets with its longer spoiler. In addition to the sun visor, the K3 SV also has a slightly nicer inner liner material. Beyond that, ventilation is about the same. So it really comes down to budget and whether you really want an internal sun visor. -DrewZilla
I was not able to select that black and orange on your website, is it not an option?
Never mind heres the right link to this specific color, awesome lid.

Can't find a tinted visor for this helmet. Can someone help me
does the k3 sv stand before this?
AGV K1 vs HJC i10, which is a better choice?
Go for AGV K1. Better shell and interior
Would K1 be a bad idea to wear it while riding a scooter?
You wouldn't be getting the most out of the ventilation and aerodynamics of the helmet, since they are designed for higher speeds/sport riding positions, but you would still be able to use it on a Scooter if you wanted to. For the most part - a helmet is a helmet and will protect you if the worst should happen.
-DrewZilla
So which one is better k1 or k3sv? If price doesn't matter
Neither is better. Both have a similar shell construction and quality. The difference is that the K3 SV has an internal sun visor, which makes it more expensive. -DrewZilla

What is the difference between AGV K1, K3, and K5 helmets?
The K1 has a thermoplastic outer shell and no internal sun visor. The K3 SV also has a thermoplastic outer shell, but it also has an internal sun visor. The K5 S uses a stronger carbon-fiberglass composite outer shell and has an internal sun visor. -DrewZilla

Is this intercom ready?
You can install a universal comm system from brands like Sena / Cardo into it, yes.
Have a round head of size 58cm what size should i get.should i get a large sizeas the helmet is oval shape
-DrewZilla

The valcro on the top sit right at my forehead 😠
Great observation! Yep, just rode home with my new Rosi Soleluna k1 and went with a size Large for a bit more snug fit instead of XL. When I put it on in the parking lot, the top pad came off the velcro attachment and the front of the helmet scraped my forehead. Super annoying since mine was over $300 after tax. Gotta do something about that velcro. Would have been nice if they put the scratchy part of the Velcro on the liner, not the helmet. Oh well, can’t expect Italians to have American sense. Like everything Italian, it excels in the looks department at the expense of everything else.
Does AGV make a transition lens for any of their helmets?
Yes but it's like $250 each
They don't make a photochromic transitions lens. They make an electronic e-Tint LCD face shield, but it only fits the expensive Pista, Corsa, and Veloce helmets. -DrewZilla

This speaks to me, Revzilla/KTM orange and it seems comparable to my all time favorite HJC FG-17!
FG-17 is better. This is plastic.
-DrewZilla
Is the size chart are the same as the k3-sv ? i wear (ML)

This or Nolan N87 Special Plus
How would this compare to the RF1200/NXR?

Hi, is the visor a flat visor or curved?
It's a curved visor, so it's curved from top to bottom (as well as from side to side of course). It's not a flat race visor. -DrewZilla
I currently have the K5, is it better than the K3 and K1?
Yes, the K5 is higher quality than the K3 SV and K1. The K5 uses a nicer carbon-fiberglass composite shell, while the other two use more affordable thermoplastic shells. -DrewZilla
Nice. Question, how do we find our head shape?
Generally by trying different helmets on. If you try an intermediate oval helmet on and you feel forehead pressure, you might have a long oval. If you try an intermediate oval and get pressure on the sides of the head above the ears, you might have a round oval head shape. If an intermediate oval helmet fits well, that's probably your shape. -DrewZilla
I have one of those , tried it on rainy day it seems that water enter quite easily I'm not sure why anyone experience this before ?
Yeah definitely. Water gets in to mine all the time
How does this compare with the Veloce S?
The Veloce S is a step up, as it uses a carbon/fiberglass composite and Pista/Corsa-style thicker face shield. The K1 uses a more affordable polycarbonate shell and more affordable face shield design. Since the Veloce S is on closeout sale, it's a pretty good deal right now. -DrewZilla
whats the main differences between k3 sv and this helmet ?
Mainly, the K3 SV adds an internal sun visor. -DrewZilla
@@RevZilla so safety wise , both offer the same level of protection ?

is this a good helmet for racing ?
This helmet can certainly get you to the track if you needed it too, but I wouldn't say its a great option if you are entering races. At that point you might want to invest more into the helmet for better track performance than this primarily street helmet. @@GerardusWicaksono Yea my sun visor broke on it fairly early on. I didn't really try to repair it though to be fair, and I just crashed in September so the helmet is shot, but it held up great in a 60 foot slide in which I can't remember. So this looks like a solid replacement.
I removed my sun visor...
How does the helmet work with eyeglasses?
