✨I'd love to see more videos on different styles for the body types, I'm a romantic and I love love my dresses and skirts and delicate fabrics...but sometimes it's not always practical to wear those(i.e. weather, occasion, mood, etc.) , so I'd love to see alternative styles for each body type✨

You made a video about light cool olives (radiant and delicate) ; I would love it if you could you make videos about medium and dark cool olives as well ! Also signature makeup looks for each type would be so cool ^^

Very insightful as always! I love your channel Merriam!
My style has progressed leaps and bounds since I started watching your videos, but something I still struggle with as a dramatic classic/sharpened blended is always looking slightly overdressed or underdressed. I try to go for pieces and outfits that have kind of an ambiguous formality which helps, but I often still look in the mirror throughout the day and feel either slightly disheveled or slightly too prim and proper. I would love to see a video either on that problem specifically for classics, or in general advice for what to do when you feel your outfit of the day is 85% there but something is still off about it.

Funny because, even knowing my lines and silhouette (I’m a soft dramatic in Kibbe system) and my best coloring (soft summer) I’m still wearing more sporty and very simple cuts, more like a dramatic would do, no details, no frills, more boyish looks, but with sexy details (showing a lot of skin, mini skirts, very short shorts…but with sneakers and baseball caps and a lot of rainbow colors) I don’t feel that I’m dressing in my lines nor right colors, but I really feel like myself in what I am wearing, and there is a consistency in the « persona » that I’m showing every single time: sexy, strong, and very fun and entertaining at the same time… it shows who I am… Anyway thank you Merriam 🙏🏼✨❤ Love your videos and love your channel, been around for a few years now listening to you… Congrats for the baby ❤ you make a very cute mom!! 🔥

Nothing to do with the video, but I'm curious...have you ever tried one of these 'heatless overnight curls' hairstyles?
You seem to have a similar hairtype to me (thick, dense, slightly wavy) and it always gave me really beautiful results, when I still had long hair.
Loose curls would just look so cute with the kind of feminine, pastel top you're wearing.
I'm 42 and still indecisive about my 'signature look'. Whenever I think, I've figured it out...my taste or lifestyle changes and I have to adjust my wardrobe 😅
I mean, I know what I like best...but that's not necessarily practical for my everyday life!

Please Merriam make a video of your thoughts on how to wear something you like in any way and also wearing something that stays true to your lines!
I have a problem with the fact that I know what to look for in clothes but I'm afraid people would percieve it as a personal style and judge me by that

I am mostly a romantic, and a bright cool palette. So I’ve found my go to is an A like wrap dress with a cardigan but without too much frill or detail. My bone structure has some natural elements to it and some classic elements so the cleaner lines work well for me but very feminine styles and softness. There’s an ethereal romantic quality to me so light fabrics, soft lines, jewelry type details work well. Very feminine.

I think I am a mixture of FN and D, because I have long lines and broad shoulders, but oversized clothes drowns me.
For my signature style I like to wear flared out jeans which are long, a tank top or another basic and some laying piece like a sweater or a west on top. The shape of the laying piece is very important for me, as it has to go with my lines. I have tryed many oversized wests and oversized blazers non of them fit me, so now I am always picking something that is fitting at the shoulders and flows down. I like long wests and jackets or a nice sweater. Some piece that my tank top is peaking through. As something special to me and my style, I am really in love with crochet pieces, like wests, sweaters, skirts and dresses. They are great for my long lines as the are often fitted and they underline my fun personality. Maybe I will also ad some fun sunglasses. All of this took me so long to figure out. Especially the color session I used think I was soft autum or warm and delicate. I have olive skin. Also the fact that I can't wear oversized. 😅😊

How do you pull together a signature style when you feel opposing aspects of yourself? I'm a FN in Kibbe system and can be very open, friendly and expressive. I'm also an MBTI ESTJ so have a very serious, inflexible side as well. Then throw in an enneagram 4 and I love beautiful, light and touchable fabrics and images. Overly introspective as well.
I struggle with this multi-facetedness and don't know how to bring it all together in a cohesive style.

same here, im a N (not sure if im a pure N or not), I love both cute girly ruffly clothing, and have a melancholic type personality, im really quiet and keep to myself but N is stereotyped as being very outgoing, im an Mbti infp, 4w5.

    • @ghug8340
      @ghug8340 ปีที่แล้ว

ESTJs have Ne as their third function so yeah, I think that if you play with your multifacetedness, you will naturally look more memorable and hence, unique. Make sure that whatever outfit you wear goes with the rest of the outfit you were. Also, accommodate your seriousness through your make-up, rich colours, and 'luxurious' fabrics. The structure of the dress and the hair can follow flamboyant natural guidelines. This just can example.
I am a very serious person too but I have an equally silly side. And I do not have a signature look. People find it hard to confine me into a box. But I am seen by my peers as someone who will always surprise you with either knowledge, skill or style. So yeah, have fun!!

I am a soft natural but I look worse when i put on some weight like right now. I look my best when I am very slim. I want to dress feminine and elegant but I always look odd when I do and never receive compliments. I believe I look my best when I am in sporty clothes. My hair needs to be messy, yet blow dried to look good. Properly messy hair looks horrible on me (and i tend to leave my hair natural because im lazy). I look disgusting with makeup on. I need to wear minimal makeup. I still don't understand what colors I should wear and why feminine clothing looks bad on me.

Merriam, do you look good in Navy? Your coloring is similar to mine but I am not sure if I am a touch warmer. Navy is one of my best colors but when it has a touch of radiance is even better.
I feel more confident in a slight masculine look but I am SN. I have found that as long as I am slender, I get away with it.
