    I needed to see this, my man. Been hurt pretty bad and haven't been able to get at it for a while. I can't do burpees at the moment (it's a lower back issue), but I did squats and push-ups yesterday and it was tough. Been about 2 weeks since I really hit it.
    Thanks for the real-life inspiration, as always. And congratulations to you for your win in Norge!

    1000 games and winning the Championship must have been a amazing feeling! Even with your injuries you did a great job and I'm pretty sure with your recovery program and consistency you'll be back in pre-hockey shape soon!! Anyway, it's good to see you back Greg 🙌💪🤜🤛

    Congrats will all your successes. I'm sure any of your previous NHL clubs could sure use you. Ice hockey at your level sure is hard on the body.

    Being that you've got extensive experience as a pro athlete, what have you noticed in terms of changes in your body and performance since you adopted this modality of training?

    • @SonOfRich56
      @SonOfRich56  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My general strength for my upper body never really changed, I did a lot of calisthenics before. Just added more push ups to substitute benching. So I didn’t notice a difference. For my lower body, it was good, but not great. Defiantly didn’t feel as explosive and sturdy… With that said when I came out of retirement I wasn’t training specifically for hockey with lower body calisthenics. Didn’t take long to get them back to form though. Overall, this training works and I think do it shows that sometimes less (machines, weights and others) is more.

      @@SonOfRich56 so you don't feel as sturdy with your lower body? Do you think that's a lack of intensity perhaps?

    • @SonOfRich56
      @SonOfRich56  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@matthewhawke8902 No, I honestly just think it’s because I hadn’t played a game in over 680 days. Had a few guys do my leg workouts and it crushed them. But I also wasn’t doing a lot of the balance training, so I’m sure that had something to do with it. Stabilizing my ankles and knees while being hit or having to change directions quickly.

      @@SonOfRich56 what do you recommend for that "rooted" feeling? Stability and balance to put it another way
