Thanks for a helpful review. As a composer, the 13” M2 Air is a real bonus, as you get a large screen for inputting and storing sheet music for playing an instrument and for composing handwritten scores using the Pencil Pro - third party apps are necessary for composition and for fast page turning, but these are reasonably priced. So for my workflow I would give it a higher rating. I agree that face recognition should have been included.
The iPad is awesome for students! You can take notes with the Apple Pencil and keep everything tidy in digital folders instead of dealing with piles of paper. Download textbooks and workbooks easily, scan physical notes straight into your folders, and copy-paste text and pictures without any hassle. Having everything on one device is just super convenient.
Nothing about battery life in the review, just like 95% of other reviewers. I wonder why reviewers don't talk about it - battery life is critical in the decision-making process.
Maybe nothing changed, that’s why reviewers forget to mention them. I have one, the battery is okay, heavy apps like procreate does drain more battery than usual, but if it’s just browsing around for entertainment(youtube, netflix), it takes about 10% per hour. Hth!
They are all about 10 hours under normal use, not making an excuse, but they never talk about it because they all last about the same, it’s been that way for a while now with the larger screens lasting a tad longer due to larger batteries.
HELP. does ur overheat when taking notes? i’m in hs and i plan on majoring in engineering and i want one for school/college (must last 6 years) so i want the ipad air m2 128gb. but i heard of overheating issues while taking notes? notes r my primary purpose so jsut making sure.
@@aboveaveragejoereviews yess but , the 60hz refresh rate and LCD screen is really a bit deal breaker for me with the ipad , also the Samsung tab s9 storage can be upgraded using the sd card upto 1 TB , which also seems pretty good for me
See, S9 is without any doubt far better than ipad air m2. So the point is if u want to use it for 3-5 years then go with tab s9 but if u want to use it for 7-8 years then ipad is the better option . However if u want to do editing or creative tasks then ipad is the way to go. Now I think u can decide easily.
60hz is so ass its so painful to look at it feels like my eyes are jittering I want to kill myself using 60hz its impossible to look at (I use a 164hz monitor so it looks ASS)

How will you be using it? If for homework assignments and streaming shows, personally I'd pick the MacBook Air. Air has a 13.6" screen, keyboard, trackpad which are also things that cost extra with the iPad.

Help me figure out should i go for iPad Air M2 11 inch with Pencil pro for 657$ or Samsung Tab S9+ at 515$? I mainly need for note taking and digital art. It would be great to have people opinions.
S9plus definitely has better specs and large screen size. But for digital art ipad has no match as it has got apple pencil pro and some specific apps which only ipados can access . Moreover ipad will provide u longevity. So for me Ipad is the better option for ur usecase.
Do you guys have a problem about touch sensitivity when apply protective film in iPad Air ? I already return 5 unit of it but the problem still the same and I already try with both of temper glass and scratch prof film but the problem still occur. and the touch sensitive will be better when i plug my charger and touch it the sensitivity will back to normal.

I have the Air M2 with 512GB storage. I use it for most of my computing needs. I use the Logitech combo case - I like it better than Apple's offering.
Btw is the 512 too much or enough

Both tablets are solid choices. It'd really depend on which OS you prefer. If most of your devices are Apple then I'd say go with the iPad.
