Me and my friends almost didn’t make it but we got to see Thrice and then Deftones came on the stage!! 🔥 One of the greatest nights of my life! SNW was barely coming out and they played Beware for us,it totally blew my mind! 🙌🏻 One song I didn’t expect was RX Queen,and I was mind blown because they performed with the Drum Street crew.I knew in that moment I wanted to make music and that it was my path 💚 Thank You Stephen for being the influence you are brother ❤️ 🎸

Idk, I bounce around with my favorite Deftones albums but for some reason Gore is on I have on heavy rotation. It’s one of those albums you just play in its entirety. Love it.
At first I only liked the first 3 tracks and Phantom Bride. Then kept listening and now I appreciate and like this album. OHMSS is still my fav out of all of them and Lovers is my fav B-Side.
Never understood all the hate for gore. Swear it's just sheep jumping on a bandwagon. Got me through a really rough time this album, barely. Thanks deftones.
It wasn't a bad album. For me, Gore was lacking that balance and flow. The record had really great moments creatively and sonically. But then there were moments where it just fell flat, and it kind of killed the momentum of the record. That's how I felt with the self-titled record, as heavy as that record sounded it was missing that Deftones flow and balance that their classic albums have. It's been documented that Chino and Steph were not on the same page when they wrote this record (Steph almost quit the band from what I hear during the recording process). When this band is firing on all cylinders they make magic, and I just felt like it was missing on this record. I also wasn't crazy about the production from Matt Hyde, they should have stuck with Nick Raz. He had a great chemistry with the band and it showed on Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan.
A 5/10 Deftones album is still 8/10 by most standards. There are some great pieces on it, but there's not much flow and alot of the songs don't have much staying power or intrigue.
Gore is ok. It sounds pretty 80s inspired to me. I got into Deftones in 1996 and kind of faded out after 2003 ish but recently got back to listening. Diamond Eyes is probably my favorite so far of the post White Pony music. These guys greatly influence my guitar playing.
Gore is so underrated! I freaking love this album! Phantom Bride and Hearts/wWires are my favs

For me it was just bad production. Very noisy. Also its not available on Apple music.. Like even deftones dont want it in their catalogue.
