So just blindly throwing in my two cents. I am currently enrolling in UOPX because the cost is cheaper then the other 5 colleges I was accepted to for BSN to RN. With the books being covered in the fee (which all the other schools piled on making them average about 450+ the cost of books) my all in is about 4-6k less. The transfer process was the easiest of all the schools. I am a full time RN an I love the idea of one course at a time getting in there and getting in over with. Maybe they seen this review because their tutionrate rate for me was 350/hr +170 per hour so 520 with no additional fees which is higher than all the other schools until you see all their fees. Also the audacity to call them expensive when two hours of your time is 500 dollars lol Also anyone looking for RN to BSN they take your associates and do not add any of their own electives if your graduating school qualifies. I am finishing up with 11 courses and 12 months vs all the other colleges making me do exactly what he is talking about even down to Purdue wanting me to retake comp II but not comp I when I got a "B" in both becasue comp two wasn't specific enough. Or Arkansas Tech University not taking my social science that I took their because the class is no longer offered. All the problems he addessed I have seen a patteren at all the colleges combined. Not to mention LSUA who will not even give me a course catalog until they recieve all the official transcripts event though they have and requested all unoffical. Phoenix acutually took all the transfer leg work out of it for me. Maybe they have improved based on this video because it was the easiest to transfer and apply my credits to my degree. Probably degree specific. IDK
I’m currently enrolled with UoPX and honestly after finding out a lot of these that the institute has history in and especially hearing that when place on a resume there are some or decent amount of companies that see UoPX on your resumes will trash the resume. Makes me think I’m just going to transfer to ISU, where I’m located at already.
Wise idea! Phoenix isn’t the worst school out there, and there are some good reasons to finish a degree there (mainly if your employer is offering tuition reimbursement only for them, so it wouldn’t cost you), but in general there are almost always better options out there :)
@@CollegeHacked Yeah and I get that if someone's employer is paying for it that would be fine. As far as doing some self assessment and replanning my academic goals and such, I've talked to a buddy of mine that graduates from ISU in Dec about it. He even said switching to ISU would be better anyways. Which he isn't wrong. I think I'd rather have ISU on my resume instead of UoPX.

Since the very beginning online programs were geared toward working adults who need a way to advance. I think this is the standard to go by. Transfers are common there but they are really ready to lift you out and improve your area of knowledge above where it was now. The question to ponder is what do Fortune 500 businesses think about employees taking courses there to rise on the pay roll? That is what a for profit is for.
I’m currently enrolled in the BS Computer Science and graduating in 2027, also working on a Cyber Security cert with them which I will receive in like Feb 2025. My experience has actually been good here, never had an issue and I appreciate that they call you here and there to make sure you’re doing ok and check on you in case you have any questions. I read reviews recently and felt a little off based on people saying it was not a accredited school and that it will be hard to find work after graduating but honestly it is what it is I’m already here and I’m going to finish!

He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I attended University of Phoenix. University of Phoenix is a good school. University of Phoenix is very challenging. You must apply yourself to graduate. Specifically at University of Phoenix? I would look for competing programs at none profit schools and see if you’d end up paying less overall even after the reimbursement from your company. Often times that’s the case! UMPI has an Organizational Leadership MS for $12k, for example.
My program at the University of Phoenix [online] has 8 classes. You can take one class a month my program cost is $10,912.00. You do the math . I'm almost done with class five at this point I am to invested to quit. Also what books?

Hello, thank you for this well detailed video! I have a few questions… I am currently enrolled at a University which I actually take courses at and live at during the Fall and Spring Semester. I am an upcoming Junior there and am currently on Summer break. Thankfully, I found out yesterday, 5/30/23, that my new job is I believe associated/partnered with the University of Phoenix and will be able to pay for 6 of my courses there. The plan is to be enrolled in those courses during this Summer once I get the final confirmation from my current university and get the list of courses I should take from my advisor very soon. If you could further assist me I would like to know, how is the process of transferring credits from this University like over to another University? Also, how long does it typically take to finish up a course? (especially since the course work there is at your own paste). I am a Criminal Justice Major and pretty soon will be adding the Communications Major to the list, so does the University of Phoenix provide a nice selection of classes to those majors or is this University dedicated to other specific majors? I hope to hear back from you soon, thanks!
Sometimes it makes sense to complete a degree at a for-profit like University of Phoenix, but rarely. We strongly suggest getting the free classes from there through your work and transferring those into another school, like UMPI, to graduate from. We have a video that lays out why schools like UoP are worth avoiding if you want deeper reasoning for that. Financially it makes a lot of sense too though, because even after the classes your work pays for you still have to pay for some, and at a school like UMPI you can finish an entire bachelors 0 to 40 classes and graduated for about $5.5k. $5.5k is how much 5 classes costs at UoP 😅 If you want some help planning how to make the most of what your work offers but then roll it into a university hiring managers will be happy to see, you can book at collegehacked.com :) Otherwise, we have a ton of videos laying out how to hack on your own that might help! Either way, you got this 💪🏼
Hi, I am a working adult looking for an online DBA from UoP. The admission process looked quite smoother and no hassles whatsoever. What do you suggest ? Also could you please share your thoughts on Columbia Southern University and Franklin University too? Thanks!
Avoid UoP at all costs, it’s not a respected school because of all the legal trouble over the years. The process is smooth because they want to lure you in. Columbia Southern is for-profit, don’t recommend it over Franklin or Liberty, which are both great schools.
@@CollegeHackedthanks a ton! I would skip UOP but somehow I feel CSU would suit my budget given their half the tuition price compared to Franklin. Hoping for the best!
We actually only know of one doctorate in CBE form at the moment, and it’s South College’s Doctor of Ministry degree :) CBE is relatively new still, so not a ton of it at the terminal degree level.
@@CollegeHacked Thanks! I’m looking for a DBA program or PhD, that is cost effective and accelerated. Considering Liberty University, SNHU, and Franklin University. Also, I’m considering a second Master’s from UMPI or WGU. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
Don't be discouraged! My mom started with the University of Pheonix, with a degree in Business Admin. and it's taken her really far. She's worked with Google, and gotten offers with Apple, Facebook corporate, etc. She eventually did move on to another University afterward, But, as long as you're devoted to whatever you're doing, you can definitely make it.
@Talks With Turpui thank you girly, and you got this. I had an amazing experience with the university. I am debating on continuing my education right now
My GPA at University of Phoenix is 4.0, and I am considering transferring to SMU. How likely is it that six of my credits will be accepted there and will my GPA be accepted?
And WGU is a certification mill. Sooo whats the difference. In tech, a degree still trumps lame ass theory based certifications. If i saw someone with no experience, but 12 certifications, against someone with just a bachelor's degree and REAL hands on skills... You bet id throw out the certification junkies resume
In this case there’s a difference because of the legal histories between WGU and Phoenix. WGU is an odd duck, but it isn’t a scam like Phoenix. Also, WGU has proctored finals for each class, which automatically means it’s not a mill of any kind. That’s a hard quality control line. Definitely agree that real experience is better than a number of certs earned in a small time and without experience, though. But experience has to start somewhere, and often that’s the hard part😊
@@CollegeHacked I went there is why I'd like to talk to you about it. I have no reach, and there are very few videos on how horrible they are. It's a giant scam.

Really nice content and thanks for the deep dive into this university. 🦾 I read, that UMPI will let you skip the 40-credit-long "general education curriculum requirement" if you already have a bachelor's degree. Can you please say something about this 😀? Or do compensatory courses have to be made in this case? I would really appreciate your opinion on this.
UMPI will accept what they can of a bachelors you’ve already earned, but the odds of it overlapping perfectly with their requirements are slim :) But you probably wouldn’t have too much left! And what you did have left could be hacked on Sophia :)

Maybe they seen this review because their tutionrate rate for me was 350/hr +170 per hour so 520 with no additional fees which is higher than all the other schools until you see all their fees. Also the audacity to call them expensive when two hours of your time is 500 dollars lol
Also anyone looking for RN to BSN they take your associates and do not add any of their own electives if your graduating school qualifies. IDK
Licensure programs are the one time UoP isn’t the worst option. Glad it’s working for you!
@@ThatnerdyfellaGood analysis! At the end of the day there is rarely one “right” decision. Everyone has a different situation and different goals they are trying to meet. If you’d feel sad about graduating from Phoenix, it’s not going to be worth it. You want a degree you’re proud of :) Good on you!
Hey man! I'm currently enrolling as a Data Analyst B S Degree and hoping to finish around 2027-2028! Glad you're having a good experience! I'm anxious about which Uni to got to and I've liked this one so far, but I've been mainly seeing Negative comments, but most of them are a few years back of attending! You're one of the new comments I've seen that's enrolling this year and I can relate to the people who work there that help out. They've been guiding me on how to enroll and get my courses
@@kiroclifford2647 I’m actually a Sophomore now, I started last year August. I work full time and try to do OT as much as possible so taking these classes online is extremely helpful especially since I also have 2 kids at home. I know people complain that the curriculum isn’t as good as a a community college or any university for that matter but I will say that I’ve learned quite a bit and even when ahead and got a Google Cyber Security Certificate and felt confident while working on it.
It’s definitely regionally accredited :) The person makes the degree and not the other way around, so you got this!
@@CollegeHacked Thank you!!! I appreciate it!
He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I attended University of Phoenix. University of Phoenix is a good school. University of Phoenix is very challenging. You must apply yourself to graduate. Many people sign up there thinking that it’s an easy school. When they can’t make it there, they start making negative comments and writing negative articles about the school. I think that other schools are threatened by University of Phoenix. People need to stop speaking on University of Phoenix when they’ve never even taken a single class there. Wikipedia is not a credible source. Anybody can go on Wikipedia and write whatever they want.
The scams that Phoenix has been legally held accountable for are verified public knowledge :) But it’s wonderful that they worked out well for you! Glad to hear it.
I got a 60 day deferred payment plan with no problem.
I haven’t had any problems with the school, but I understand the context thanks for all your research. I’ll just be sure to polish my personal brand so I have something more
Yes! Great attitude, this does not have to be a big negative for you as long as you’re aware of the general perception people tend to have of UoP and can respond just like you did. “I didn’t have any problems, I actually thought the courses were challenging and useful”
Just be your awesome, educated self and they will undoubtedly want to add you to the team :)
I am graduating from the UOPX with an associative arts degree in criminal justice in September of next year.
I have a 3.9 GPA.
Congrats!
You can take 2 classes at a time and up to three if pre-approved.
I start University of Phoenix Jan 30. I had no idea they had such a reputation. I use chapter 33 GI Bill. How difficult do you think it would be and how quickly would i be able to transfer to ASU? I'm going for a bachelor's in computer science. Please, your imput would be a huge help
No problem! You can still withdraw from the school without losing any funds :) It might be tight to start at another school in January, but worst case you can jump in on the next term no problem. Glad you found this video in time! For computer science check out WGU :)
literally experiencing the same thing and going for the same degree, i had applied to start the 30th as well, but then i did more research and now im regretting my decision. i did apply to WGU however, classes start March 1st there.
@@CollegeHacked I must not have pressed send last time that I meant to respond to your comment but thank you so much 👏🏾 In a way you've likely greatly altered my life and education
@@nathansalas7779 I'm glad you got out while you still can man. That school is technically under new management but they're definitely gonna need to rebrand and start from the ground up
@@Kermit_E_Frog Nothing makes us happier than that!! 🤩 You are so welcome, glad it worked out 😄
Hey there is a new school everyone needs to take notice of..it’s very popular in the southeast it is called “Columbia Southern” they have life pace learning, they are SACCS accredited, they allow 90 transfer credits and they are so easy to work with!!!
We’ve been hearing this a lot! It’s on the list :)
Oh my God I've made a huge mistake
University of Phoenix’s education model is replicated by all universities. I think University of Phoenix’s success is self explanatory.
We are all entitled to our opinions :)
Once he pulled up the Wikipedia page he lost me citing a source of information from Wikipedia is a big no no for me😅
It’s just a convenient repository of info about a topic :) As long as the sources are accurate and you trace backwards, Wiki pages are actually solid gold in terms of research. Just have to do a bit of legwork to verify accuracy.
I am currently enrolled at UOPX but its only for a certificate program for the company I already work for. Im not transferring credits,im not attempting to get a bachelors degree and no one at my management level has a college degree.
My wife goes to university of phoenix, they are TERRIBLEthey tell you things like, “you could mess up your financial aid” etc..to scare you.. she’s transferring out to WGU
How long has she been at U of P? I am wanting to transfer to WGU, how long do you have to wait though?
Did they handle your financial aid correctly?
@@dreadenise3471 I’m not sure I think it was like 1.5 months..the whole thing is a disaster because not only do they limit transfer credits (UoP) but some of the classes they offer don’t transfer out.. we wound up barreling through Sophia, Saylor and study to help with WGU..
So sorry to hear that, wish I could say it was the first time we’ve heard that about UP, but definitely not even close 😅
@@CollegeHacked you should check out Columbia southern university, they accept 90 transfer credits for bachelors, they accept study, Sophia, Saylor, and Clep ..I’m fast tracking through them now, I have 8 classes left .. started in janurary this year.
I'm wanting to get my MSN administration and they say because of were I work they have a contract that will allow me to take 5 classes a year for free. Any thoughts on that?
Specifically at University of Phoenix? I would look for competing programs at none profit schools and see if you’d end up paying less overall even after the reimbursement from your company. Often times that’s the case! UMPI has an Organizational Leadership MS for $12k, for example.
My program at the University of Phoenix [online] has 8 classes. You can take one class a month my program cost is $10,912.00. You do the math . I'm almost done with class five at this point I am to invested to quit. Also what books?
Sounds like you're really happy with it, so congrats! That's a really important factor, and it might be a bad idea to quite at this point--only you know your situation. In general, we recommend spending less and really looking for a school whose reputation you trust. If this school checks those boxes for you, awesome. :)
Love the channel. If it wasn't for your channel I would have never known about the hacking college.
Either way, you got this 💪🏼
My advice as a former recruiter, is don't go to a for-profit university.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Can you recommend the best option for a competency based doctorate program? Interested in Organizational Development
Thanks
Can you review Trident University International for MBA program? Thanks
But I just completed my 1st week 😢smh
And keep going!!! What may be for you may not be for someone else! Do what’s best for you 💜
Don't be discouraged!
Keep going, and don't give up. I love the University of phoenix, and I just graduated

@Talks With Turpui thank you girly, and you got this. I had an amazing experience with the university. I am debating on continuing my education right now

CCs rock 🤘🏼
My GPA at University of Phoenix is 4.0, and I am considering transferring to SMU. How likely is it that six of my credits will be accepted there and will my GPA be accepted?
Should be! :)
Can we get more videos about hackable schools?
Making as many as I can! ;)
I made a mistake
It’s salvageable, it’s just another part of your story 😊
I would love to talk about DigiPen
I’m only seeing bad reviews online, and the cost is exorbitant. There are likely better ways to reach your goals!
@@CollegeHacked I went there is why I'd like to talk to you about it. I have no reach, and there are very few videos on how horrible they are. It's a giant scam.

I can tell you I hired a lady with a bachelors and a masters degree from UOP and she didn't know jack squat about accounting. She even admitted their program was a total joke. Go to a legit state school which is probably cheaper anyway with quality learning. And I worked with a lady who got her masters from UOP and she said it was a joke but thankfully she got her undergrad degree from a solid state school. UOP is basically a diploma mill.

Really nice content and thanks for the deep dive into this university. 🦾
I read, that UMPI will let you skip the 40-credit-long "general education curriculum requirement" if you already have a bachelor's degree.
