- Point of view test drive video of Jaguar XE 2.0 D R-Sport year 2015. The Jaguar XE diesel has 2 liter i4 turbodiesel engine that delivers 180 BHP and 430 Nm of torque. The Jaguar XE goes from 0-100 km/h in 7,8 sec and has a top speed of 228 km/h. The XE is equipped with an eight speed automatic gear box.

A lot of motor newsletters claim the diesel XE is very slow to 60 mph (100 kph) but it seems adequate enough to merge onto high way traffic.
The diesel XE isnt ment to blow you away and accelerate like a Ferrari. It is meant as an alternative fuel source and a more efficient trim.
0-62 in about 8.1 seconds. Fairly economical. There's also a 250 bhp petrol engine which can hit the ton on about 5 seconds.

Love the car, but I can't help but be bothered by the fact that it's impossible to sit in the back comfortably if you're over 1,70 m.
Sports cars aren't meant for people to sit in the back.
Jake Woodbury But this is not a sports car. It's a sports saloon. As in, a saloon. A four-door car, which means allowing people to sit in the back to make sure that the rear doors, which are a massive design compromise, are actually useful.

At the 2:18 mark, did the video show that's there some turbo lag evident ?
The 2.0 diesel has noticeable turbo lag.

Great chassis but the interior is bland, cramped and cheap and the new Ingenium engine is no great shakes. It also whines like a bitch.
