- I spent all day making this! It may be just for my fellow Rick lovers out there cause it’s a bit of a long one. It’s a sequel to my first Reasons to love Rick Danko video. There are many reasons. Apologies I couldn’t help myself from talking about how cute he is every now and then haha!

The last time I saw my friend Rick Danko was on his tour bus behind The Ark in AnnArbour Michigan. We had a laugh and a couple of drinks - but he looked terrible. He died a month later.
RIP Rick!
The Band will forever be my Beatles!
Peace
LOVE Rick Danko. The floppiest, grooviest, coolest, most foot-stomping bassist ever. Love that grin he does at the end of Old Time Religion.
Yes!!! Yes to all of that haha!
@@aprilflowers6074 ❤
Play that fiddle boy lol
@@leahflower9924 The best version of Old Time Religion out there. Love it.
You don't get to sing like that unless you've known true pain or loss. My introduction to Rick and The Band as a whole was The Last Waltz, one of, if not THE, single greatest concert films ever put to celluloid.
Add on: is it just me or should Pedro Pascal play Rick in the movie?
@@charlesfarley28 I can totally see that! haha
I'm no lady, but I loved/love him, too. A true lost soul looking for the path. God bless you, Rick.
More of a kind soul in awe then a lost soul, maybe.
Rick was special from the start. Someone in the band said he was envious of Rick's ability to play almost any instrument he picked up. But yes the lack of technique and the grin, floppy stomping foot that's all Right On!
I never met him but I miss him like a dear old friend.
some souls on this planet...feel too much.it's too much for a body to hold for long. he held it as long as he could. bless him!
Thanks for putting this together for all us Rick lovers.
Glad to bring us all together! haha
I love how it's so easy to see how much you love him - because each of those shots are killer to ladies who are smart enough to notice how adorable he was! Thanks for sharing!
Exactly! Haha
Big fan of the band and Rick Danko loved his vocal parts in the Weight and Helpless with guest Neal Young and many others
Rick Danko was such a sweet amazing dude and I love him so much
A superb musician and a lovely man RIP RICK
Superb
He and Brian Wilson will always be my favorite bass players😍
The old time religion clip of the last waltz is the best! Now we need one of these for Richard!
You just reignited my love for the band/Danko, I was trying to look for more music to expand my horizons but instead I’ll be listening to the band exclusively for the next 3+ months.
I’m happy now
I love this! I think I’ve read that the reason he was “lurking in the dark staring at Joni” was that he was unfamiliar with the song and was watching what chords she was playing. Or maybe I’m just jealous of Joni 😂
This is just wonderful. He was awesome and you've caught that special quality that was Rick. Thank you.
2:03 - Rick and Neil, both Ontario boys the same age, share a “been there” moment as Neil sings “Helpless.”
Like we really needed more reasons to love Rick Danko! ❤️😍
Rick was great !
2024 still love Rick Danko! artist!
Rick was a mountain of a musician so dependable and massive courage to deliver on stage ……right on the money , what a band member to have next too you but then THE BAND had it all in truth …..every one a winner
Great compilation. Gotta love Rick! So child like. He said once that because he was a sickly child, his parents completely indulged him. He could do anything!
I think Wembley was their worst performance of that period. They were pretty whacked and the crowd didn’t seem appreciative. They had already had hostile reactions from the Brits w/ Dylan.
Love these guys. Poor lonely Garth now* **8/31/2023
Interesting he was sick. That may explain his happy-go-lucky wackiness. Ringo Starr was also a sick boy and a happy-go-lucky chap. Danko was the Bands’ Ringo.
Doin' the Danko-Dance!! Love it!!
Who doesn’t love rickard Danko
I love this!!! So talented and totally adorable!!
How sexy was Neil young back then lol
This was fun! I love him so much. I think my favorite Rick Danko moment is when he was hanging out with Janis and Jerry performing "Ain't No More Cane" casually in "Festival Express," telling them the chords while singing.
I wish all of you a guy who looks at you the way Rick looks at Joni. With a voice to die for and musical talent in spades.
what about the way he's always bouncing around when playing guitar......
one of my favorite singers ever
I have loved The Band since I first heard "Upon on Cripple Creek" in the late sixties. Robbie and Levon was always the once I associated most with the group, although I of course knew of Rick, Richard and Garth. I just finished Robbie's book "Testimony", and although I'm sure I have heard it before the song "It makes no difference" from the Last Waltz song by Rick Danko have gotten me totally enchanted by his singing and personality. I love Robbie, so talented, good looking and sexy, but there's something very sensitive and special about Rick.
I have to say this is impressive. My departed father would have loved this.
Great compilation! Thanks!
danko enough said
god bless you rick rip
He was the soul of The Band. Hope he didn't suffer too much for what he did.
The way he lurks in the dark good one 😂
`this is so nice, pls do one with garth hudson
Fantastic! Levon gets more attention, but Rick has it going on!
Love thissss
Rick Danko was the man!
Thanks....made me smile. Gotta find #1.
Eu sou uma brasileira, apaixonada por Danko! Obrigada ❤
What can you say? There was no weak link in The Band, and the most overlooked member was the most talented. Rick was amazing!
Note: Robbie's mic was never turned on.😆
Robbie wrote all the songs. Having said that I love Rick, the more I find out about him and listen to his signing the more I realize how special he was. However, I don't want to sell the other members short, all were very talented.@@MrRonk55
Dylan in the audience at 5:40!
Danko is the shit
The seed that gave birth to john mayer..
Follow the bouncing Rick Danko!! 🗽
Did Robbie roll his own cigarettes?
Bees really do have knees eh?
Scarecrow
I think the smile is because neil just decides to play helpless knowing that Bob dylan is in the back and now he cant play knocking on heavens door because its a ripoff of this song, and everyone is laughing at it because its hilarious.
As real as folks ger. PhD in getting high and being a hippie. Rick was full of LOVE. F ME HE STILL IS.
All of these short clips are just annoying! We love Rick Danko. That's why I'm saying this.
Feed old chester whenever you can 😅
