“Before you marry a person, you should first make them use a computer with slow Internet to see who they really are.”
I did train travel in my early to mid 20's twice from Vancouver to Shediac, New Brunswick. I want to do this again but this time to try to go even further to visit other provinces that I missed like Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, etc. before coming back. Back then I had a 30 day Via rail pass to travel on. This vid has influenced me to do it again!!
what a Journey that would have been. what year?
nothing like riding🛤 through the home prairies🌾 guy-looked like a relaxing trip....i should have came to meet you in edmonton...🤔
The train is always incredible to experience. Thanks again brother :)
Hey that was Noki Travels (another TH-camr) that you fist bumped at the beginning!
Noah is awesome!
A heck of a trip, hope you enjoyed it bud ! I'll definitely have to travel by train one day. Also glad you had a bed this time, take care Trav !
You gotta!
Thanks for a great Travel vlog across the homeland. Well played Trav! Peace!!
Thank you for watching Pete :)
i take my hat off to you - last week i took train2 Vancouver - Toronto.
4 days & 4 nights in economy ..... never has a beer in Toronto tasted so good.
Sluggin it out in the chair is tough but how was it?
really enjoyed it to be fair. I wanted the trip to be 'real' if you get my meaning.
the chair had foot rests that could be un folded to almost make a bed.
came across some really nice people too including chap who played his guitar for a couple of nights.
When Trav mentioned that he was 'training' for the new season... I didn't know this is what he meant. LOL!
Always taking it up to the next level
Great Video and Love this aspect of the vlog. My son and I want to try the same route you took one day.
You and Perez will love it
@@trav4oilers Perez cut his hair into a Mullet like his favorite goalie. Bill thinks he’s crazy
I plan on taking that train trip in the future. There and back. Van to Halifax, spend a week there, then back to Van. All by train. Will be a blast.
It will be the trip of a lifetime my friend!
Thanks Trav. Looking forward to my trip in Spring 2025.
Thanks for watching though Sue, I'm in the middle of a series documenting the grand railway hotels of Canada on this channel. You should check it out, I'd love to hear what you think :)
@@trav4oilersI have been watching them, and enjoying. I am from Winnipeg also.
I'm doing the exact same route next spring, I thought I was the only one who would do this, mind you I am spending three nights in Halifax, two nights in Montreal, and three nights in Vancouver. Never had a chance to explore Canada and thought this is the best way to do it!
You have to experience it by train!
Some unreal scenery
the best out there!
Other than some route changes in Quebec and a rerouting by CN ages ago in the early 60s through Edmundston that lasted only a year or so, the Ocean has kept much of its original route.
yes but the service sucks now haha
Awesome trip!
Incredible journey it is!
Thanks for the vid. For a short time in the 80s they still ran a train between Calgary and Vancouver but it was done a bit nicer and overnighted in Kamloops. Under the Mulroney gov't they sold the rights for the original Rocky Mountaineer to a Vancouver businessman who has kept it running ever since.
I miss the Banff and lake louise journey! i wish they would bring it back
Trav, VIA Rail Needs To Pay YOU! You are their best Ambassador.
lol yet they blocked me on all social media!
@@trav4oilers You probably want to create a separate "travel-only" social media account without the hockey stuff.
Railfanning with Tony v is great to Trav!! 💚💚💚🇨🇦
Tony is the man
Love the vid. Travelling on The Canadian is on my bucket list. There was no stop in Ottawa after you left Montreal?
@@josephtaylor3857 none that’s a separate train :)
@@trav4oilers Oh ok, thanks. It is a great way to see our country.
NIce video
Hey Trav I am a long time fan. One question I was just focusing on Jacob Johansson’s warm up.why does he put the pucks on top of his net?
Not sure, just his thing!
You went right by my house where I grew up in springhill jun I wasn’t around when u were in Halifax or I would’ve told you so I could’ve waved to you haha 😂
I'll wave next time ;)
You could easily be a train/history guide, after your hockey career.
Def a post retirement goal I have :)
What is your opinion on Vaughn SLR3 pads?
As an acting manager for trav those pads are trash and no good stick to the basics ok you'll become a top goalie if you do
Not for me haha
Awsome Thanks for sharing trav......was told my dr a few months ago that im in final stage of heart failer....anywhere from 2to 4 years left and this train trip has always been the one thing that i have dreamed about...Trav whats the cost for the trip any1 know.....
If that's the case then you GOTTA do it once! coast to coast probably 2-4k ish. Thanks for watching though, I'm in the middle of a series documenting the grand railway hotels of Canada on this channel. You should check it out, I'd love to hear what you think :)
How much does it cost?
Depends on the time of year. This trip will cost you 2-3k
Pretty Amazing Brother!!! Can't wait too watch you Stack those White Pads in Watertown this year!!! Say hi 👋 too my Good Brother Whitey Please 🙏 👊
One Love Fridder
See you in person for a game?
Was that NokiTravels?
yes it was :)
I love your train content big guy, but the other company you showed ok the tracks beside Via it’s truly unfortunate they are not the company the betray themselves as!! 💔💔💔
I couldn't agree more :(
