Hi Preston. I was on the train with you and we had lunch the last full day. Excellent video. You definitely have a talent for telling stories. Keep it up.
is this the real jim?
hi legend I hope you make it till 100 🥰
you better start that podcast! ima for sure watch it!
Jim 'Happy Belated Birthday' sir! You are indeed doing it right and apparently have been for 90 years. I bet Preston was quite the character, he seems full of life. Cheers to you mate!
SNOWPIERCER
THIS is the kind of content we need on TH-cam! Genuine stories that leave something real with you. I have been thinking about this video and your channel as a whole a lot lately. I would love to chat sometime!
Lucky you can just do that. I wish I could do a train ride like this, but I can't go far from my local hospital.
Enjoy trips like this for people who can't! Take care!

Hello Chris!
@@TheTechAdmin warra L for u
Yooooooo
Heya Preston! We met on the train-I was the short redhead that was usually hanging out with Cassie and her partner. :) You are *so lucky* to have been on this particular train. I've ridden it a couple more times since this journey (since I don't fly, I take the train everywhere) and they were not nearly as magical of an experience. Getting to ride The Canadian with so few people onboard, and with such amazing folks like Cassie and crew, was so fantastic. It'll never be the same! I'm so happy that you captured the magic of this particular ride on The Canadian for us all to either remember, or experience vicariously for the many, many viewers you have that weren't onboard!
Tanya!!!! Wow I’m so glad you found me! What a delight to see this comment pop up :) super cool to hear how special that ride was from your perspective as well! I feel like we will all remember that one for a long time. Give the Canadian a hug from me the next time you ride 🫡
@@prestongoes idk if you’ve done this but you should do some type of video with Legos
Also hi Tanya
Jim faking a heart attack at his surprise party… a master at work, gentlemen!
Preston, glad you took this trip. Burnout is real, especially when you’ve been pushing like you have been. I hope it was refreshing for you, and thank you for sharing it with all of us in such a creative way. You rock at this.
Any update on Jim's podcast? @prestongoes
I was on this train! It made me emotional to see all these familiar faces! The people are truly what made this trip life changing ❤❤
If you think about it, we’re all just trash pandas consuming the trash of the internet. Except Preston’s trash is from a five star restaurant so it’s delicious.
lol, weird analogy, but i know what you mean.

I live by the rockeys and can confirm they are beautiful
That was very well worded!
Wow. Just wow. I am blown away by your story telling ability. The world needs more of this, keep up the great work man 🫶

Hi Zac
All of TH-cam is at this vid
THIS IS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT TRAVELING ALONE!!!! The connections that you make are the best.
Seriously Preston, WOW! TH-cam needs to pick up your algo ASAP because you are creating things that are so heartfelt, real, and just a delight to spend time on. I can't wait for you to reach multi-million sub status and keep doing what you're doing! You are incredible and thanks for making content on TH-cam!
A tip from a biologist Canadian, when breathing in the cold do your best to do so through your nose as it is has specialized structures to heat up and moisten the air as it goes into your lungs. As well on the way out it conserves water. (That's why your nose drips in the cold!)
As someone living in the far north of Sweden where we get - 40C at times, I know to breath through my nose, but I didn't know exactly why. Thank you for that little piece of information!
This is very usefull i live in a part of north america that gets to -50c at times but thanks for the new info
@@sebastiancph
@@sebastiancph as someone from finland where we also get -40 at times i did not think to breathe through my nostrils
though i am happy to know this information now!
Pleasure working on this with you man 🤝 I'm so proud of how this came out!

He told me about you... Please bro leave him, he doesn't feel comfortable around u 🙏
Nice work dawg

Thanks dude! I love your 30 day taco Bell video lol @@therealsamreid
Embracing the change is kind of poetic for me right now. I moved to Wisconsin from Washington for a job. So new job, new state, new car, new friends, new apartment, new environment, new weather, everything in my life is new and different. Thanks for the reminder that change is good. I've probably grown more in the last four months than I have the last year. Thanks for a great video. Look forward to more!
As a Canadian train enthusiast, this is my natural habitat!
Your train had such nice people on it, i'm really happy for you!
Great job! :D
im a sap and this had me tearing up the whole time with a smile . really inspiring video and im glad you stepped out of your comfort zone. You're one of the coolest doing it rn
Your cinematography is absolutely amazing!! The four day family you made seemed wonderful and everyone was so cheerful, keep up the great work!
All I can say is I just accidentally stumbled on this channel 25 minutes ago as I was looking at camping videos and I like this guy's personality and the views he captured are amazing! I need to watch more of this guy's content
Preston your storytelling, style, and energy is incredible… but even more so, your kindness is captivating. Thanks for creating beautiful art that inspires 💛
Such a feel good video!! Laughed, teared up, felt a whole spectrum of emotions. And Mohammed coming in early with the great advice for the whole trip! People love meeting kind people 🥹 so proud of you for doing this!!

Hey Tyler, you never got back to me about giving me your TH-cam plaque on Instagram :)
How many times since you made the emergency call phone for mr beast has it gone off?
Hilarious! I also messaged him, but like you no reply. What makes it sadder for me,@@macmosss, is that I'm in my late 40's.
😿🤣

Hands down favorite travel video I’ve seen. It has your special touch and showcases human relationships in a way which reflects such genuine connection. Taking what could be a weird thing (having a camera on fellow travelers) and turning it into something appreciated by all because you documented a beautiful journey is something not so easily accomplished. Your kind spirit and sense of humor really makes you the hero we want to follow in this story and I thank you for sharing it so well with such a fun video. Your songs are so awesome. I love your content.
preston, just so you know, i am probably your biggest fan and i just love how happy and positive you are! like in your diy train video, when it broke, you just had fun. i have a passion for making videos aswell. you inspire me!! keep it up brother. and remember you can never have enough engines!!
Your talents are a gift! Glad you’re able to share with so many people on TH-cam but also in real life.
How our parents got to school every day
Haha so true 😂
that was by far the best video shorted dacumentary ive ever seen in terms of cutting, humor, inspiration, kindness and a whole lot of other incredible things to take along with u... thanks a lot and keep it up!
so wholesome and entertaining! the internet needs more of this!
Preston lowkey deserve 10 mil subs
High key 👀
15:39 random note but seeing Bison alive in numbers is beautiful and heartwarming. Rdr2 gave me a newfound love for the animal we nearly put to extinction. Anyway, great video, love the comments as well. Really great video, Preston!
Awesome, absolutely awesome! Upbeat, wholesome, creative and entertaining! This is my fist video on your channel and I hope to stay on for more.
I like train travel and I'm glad you had a great time!
Warmest greetings from St.Petersburg, Russia!
Your videos are so genuine and passionate, it's a breath of fresh air. It feels like you do things and then make videos out of them rather than doing things JUST to make videos, if that makes sense. You're so alive and so aggressively you, it's great to see.
11:21 Jim Hopper became my favorite character in Stranger Things.
And just seeing this scene made me start binge watching the show again.
I just discovered you here and these are great vids to help me unwind after long nights/days at work! Thanks for sharing your experiences with us! I just wanted you to know it’s really appreciated! Especially to those of us stuck in the daily grind!
what an awesome video. You lifted me right up from germany in the rocky mountains. So inspirational how you manage to get new friends in every situation and how amazing these people are!! Really lovely!
This is the most wholesome thing I have seen in years thank you for making this video. I feel like it has boost my confidence. This is the kind of videos that we need to see on the Internet. Thank you.
Another amazing video. Thank you for creating beautiful things, Preston!
That was brilliant. You have a gift for meeting people, and drawing them all into your adventure. The surprise 91st birthday Party for Jim got me right in the feels. Dad's are indeed special. Those of us lucky enough to have them still around should always be grateful, Truly great work sir.
Never wished there was more to a TH-cam video until now.. Really and truly inspiring. Thank you for making this video..
Thank you for this masterpice I have watched your videos for a while now and this was my favorite of yours! your story telling is unmatched.
Preston, your videos continue to inspire me. Legitimately look forward to watching each one!
This is beautiful, brother. Thank you for sharing this. God bless you and your journey!💪🏻💪🏻
You may have inspired this old western Canadian to try that train ride sooner than later. Thanks! 👍
That's a home run! Great concept, editing, message, everything! Keep it up
I love that you make your own music for TH-cam videos it feels so fresh and your attitude is always great bro haha glad to see you enjoyed your time in Canada as a Canadian 🫡
So glad I discovered this video!! I'm in the UK but my grandparents travelled this rail line around 1910 and I have some fantastic rail photos taken by them back then. My husband and I have a visit to Vancouver at the top of our bucket list and I'd love to get there via this rail journey.
Great cinematic value, an emotional message, and a documenting of a beautiful part of your life. Wow! Just wow!
I’m glad I got to see this. Makes me wanna document my journey through life.
Man I just love your whole vibe. Best travel vlog on TH-cam rn, dare I say! Keep it up brother. Love your content
It's so fun seeing Preston's TH-cam journey! Been here since day 1! Keep it up man! Love your videos!
Just Discovered Your Channel, One Word, Fabulous, And More Fabulous!! I Did That Trip Several Times. Thanks, Greetings From San Diego.🌴
O wow I just discovered this channel! You are journalist,cameraman,editor,singer,singer-songwriter,performer,producer,host and first foremost seems you’re amazing human! Well done 👏 how refreshing to see someone to use properly all talent they are gifted with ❤️🙏🏼
your reaction to the rockies made me change how i see them. Since i grew up with visiting the rockies as a weekly thing they had almost become the usual but now i have started to notice the elegance behind them
why was i getting so emo when y'all were singing for jim's birthday and when the rockies appeared 😭 love how you used music recommended by ariel and that final montage was gorgeous :,) i have been looking at long train rides for my next trip and this was such incredible inspiration
This is just incredibly wholesome and amazing to see! Very proud you are so transparent and willing to work on yourself! Kudos to you, never stop growing and changing!
This is my most favorite video of yours! Videos that bring a story to the table. A story that shows growth, a story that shows friendship. This is a great video.
I laughted, got inspired, got emotional, and that in only 23 minutes. Your story telling is just amazing ! Thanks a lot for this video ✨
You are such a genuine & wholesome dude. Keep the solid videos coming! (Without burning out of course...)
I loved every second of this! So genuine and uplifting. We need more people like you on this platform
Your videos are fantastic man. They’re refreshing and different in the best way possible. It’s really cool to see something new on the platform. love your work and video style. keep killing it. ❤
So so good man. The world needs more of this 🙌🏼
i've seen this video in my recommended for about two weeks and for no good reason I just went ahead and played it. this is such good content. great little chunk of life. thanks!
Thank you!! Your vid brought tears! I live next to Rocky Mnts in Utah and it's SOO easy to forget the beauty. That makes all the worlds BS disappear.
This vid was amazingly beautiful and 22 mins passed without even knowing. The loneliness on trips is scary, but you met some amazing people. This is what I need. Burnout sucks
I hope I celebrate my 91st birthday in the rockies with you
I almost didn't click because the title is not the most exciting. But I am glad I did. I smiled the whole time. Great work as usual. Unsolicited pitch on a new title... "My Solo Trip Across Canada was Awesome"
I watch A LOT of train videos and this is definitely one of my favorites. Thank you for taking me along for the ride.
This is genuinely one of my favorite videos ever on TH-cam. I have shown everyone I know and we all agree it’s not for a fraction of the recognition it deserves.
I CRIED. Several times, and laughed many more. What a beautiful work of love you have put out. Kudos dude 💖🤘🏻
Rocky Mountain Magic! What an incredible journey! Loved the surprise birthday celebration for Jim and that Train Song is a vibe! 🎉
New bucket list item btw. Gotta go see that painting😉
Your channel is a joy to watch. ❤Thank you. 😊
Watching from Western Australia where it is forecast 41°c again today. 🥵
this is an absolute masterpiece. one of the best videos on TH-cam ever. Thank you. You made my day, that hasn't been that good before I looked at this...
Wow. That's incredible. Thanks, Preston. You always deliver the BEST videos on the internet.
You gotta try the maple syrup, it’s divine.
I agree a lot especially those maple syrup cream cookies there the best
The croutons did it for me
Great stuff once again Preston!
You are a great inspiration for me - keep going - embrace that change !
this video felt just like a wholesome movie and i loved every single second of it, it was so beautiful to see people interacting with each other, no bad intentions just good vibes. :)
Makes me feel so optimistic for humanity seeing all the lovely interactions in this video. Beautiful edit too!! ❤️
I agree with every “the world needs more of this content” comment 💯💯
Just found ur channel. Really enjoyed ur vibe and humor. I needed this positive energy. Thank you.
Incredible video! You seriously deserve all the subscribers man. Happy to be here
dude you are one of the most creative youtuber ive seen in a while! keep up the work!!
The internet needs more of this
Loved this video. I love the people with whom you interacted. I’ve had many of these brilliant conversations with strangers and it’s just so lovely and inspirational. Good on you! I would definitely want to go in the spring or fall though. I love the mountains, but snow is not my jam.❤
One of the best youtube videos i have ever watched with amazing storytelling and scenery. I know you dont usually do travelling videos but please do more of these.
Preston, dude your content is awesome. Super love the videos about the GoKart ride to that bridge (absolutely worth it considering the view tho, ngl). But I do have to say you definitely need to choose better sponsors. BetterHelp has been in so many scandals it's unreal. Leaking data to Facebook? You want to promote that? I understand you need to eat and pay for the video somehow, but there's other, more ethical ways of doing it. Hope you change your viewpoint.
Muhammad’s advice should be took from everyone in Canada
His advice should be taken by us all.
Omg!! I loved this video ! It was more like a mini documentary about the spirit of train travel , rather than a travel vlog . I’m taking this trip by myself next year as my parents did the reverse trip back in 1967 when they met face to face for the first time ( they had been penpals for 2 years prior ). My dad is Scottish and living in Australia and my mum is Jamaican living in Canada . I’m actually an Aussie , as after 2.5 years of living in Canada , they immigrated back here . Seeing your video made me smile and wonder what life was like on that train back then ❤
Wholesome. Perfect. One of the best videos on TH-cam. Never stop doing these man.
I don't understand why people still get sponsored by better help. they have such a bad history. they sell personal answers that they say specifically that only your therapist will see. if you value online safety don't get use better help.
We should be careful who we partner with to sponsor our videos and make sure we thoroughly review their backgrounds before pitching their company. All that aside, what a fantastic trip this must’ve been, a great video, and awesome sound design of course!
Well done Preston you did EXCELLENT work , I can tell you out so much love & effort into it all ❤ congrats!
Dude I loved this video. Lots of love and lots of laughter is always the best medicine!
I didn’t think I was going to enjoy this as much as I did!
I just loved it. There’s something special that you’ve got. Keep it alive.
This needs way more views! Incredible story. Love your videos man!
Preston, my first time on your channel and I loved the video along with the story. Keep it up young man you've got soul and a good heart.
This is such an incredibly wonderful video, i cannot get enough of your sincerity and the way you edit your videos.
You are such a genuine wholesome dude. Keep the solid videos coming!
Preston your videos are continually some of my favorites on this platform!
Very good job. I bet you have enough footage to make that into an entire 2 hour documentary if you felt like it and could win an award somewhere.
I took the train to Edmonton When I was little but we packed our own food and stayed in the economy seats. Don't remember too much about it but would be awesome to go back to refresh and unlock some more memories.
Found your channel randomly, watched a few videos (Loved the bridge one BTW), and just got hooked. Took ahwile to get used to the "musicals" LOL, but happy with the content. Look forward to more.
jim seems so sweet along with everyone else. somehow this restores some faith in humanity. we need more videos like this. spreading kindness along with unique experiences. keep it up!
