    Hey bro, got it as it became available in Europe. I own several custom blades that cost way more, but the LDK really left me without words after using it. 1075 is a good steel, gets sharpened well and can get anything you throw at it. Paired with a custom 3,5'' blade, it's a perfect combo and I feel I don't need anything else while in the woods. This thing is a super trustworthy companion. Cheers and take care man.

      I appreciate the feedback on your experience with the knife. I've not put it through its paces yet but I agree that pair this with a nice smaller knife and you've got a good combo. Even pairing with the Swamp Romper wouldn't be a bad idea, but with my L.T. Wright Bushbaby or Next Gen, it's great. Thanks for watching.

    Awesome collection of blades there, my friend. Yes that Low Drag does look pretty awesome, looks like a very useful tool for serious woods work. Thanks for the look.

      I knew I wanted it as soon as I saw it, but was waiting for a deal. Used a 20% off coupon and picked one up for a good deal. Thanks Chad.

    I'm on the fence between this and the Esee 6 with the contoured handles, which do you prefer? Is the Esee worth the extra $$?

    • @sameold77
      @sameold77  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Esee has the finger choil which some people love. The quality of the Esee is of course better and I like the handle shape but do not like the extended tang as much, not the jimping. The Low Drag is great for the price. If I could only buy one and money was no problem, the Esee 6 of course. But the Condor will serve you very well. Good luck.

      I own both , prefer the condor , feels more robust I like the way it feels in my hand & it is a very nice design . For a woods knife I like it more, the esse does feels more nimble in the hand, so maybe for a “ tactical “ knife it’s better suited . Also I prefer my work knife blade to be uncoated for a few reasons .

    Any update after using it in the field?

    • @sameold77
      @sameold77  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. It remains comfortable after a couple hours cutting limbs and trimming and carving. It is easy to strop if you don''t let it go completely dull. The size is good for larger tasks but still allows finer detail work. Overall, I still like it. Thanks for watching,

    Want to buy this knife. For me it is the poor man's Esee 6, and it looks like good value for money.

    • @sameold77
      @sameold77  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Indeed and it will serve you well and costs less. It doesn't have the finger choil if you are into that and the quality is not up to snuff as the Esee, but you should be happy with it. Thanks.

    • @benjamincoetzee1369
      @benjamincoetzee1369 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sameold77 I do not mind that it does not have a choil. I do not think that it actually needs one if I look at the handle design? Compared to the Esee 6 do you think the choil is necesarry?

    • @sameold77
      @sameold77  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You do not need the choil but some people like to choke up for more precise work. I always carry a small knife on me when I carry one of these for precision work so I don't need a choil. Good luck.

      @@sameold77 I bought the knife, tested the edge by beating it through a knot. Actually starting to panic a bit because the knife got stuck and I struggled to get it out. I beated a lot harder than what I intended to do from the start.
      When I checked the edge it was perfect. I was so surprised. Checked it in the sun and there was no reflection on the edge. The area of the blade that was used was between the middle and the handle. A few days later I was making a bow drill spindle and chopping a knot out it rolled and chipped a small part in the front section of the blade. Tried to fix it but it is still visible. If have not tested the knife again.
      It really is an excellent design and handles very well for the size of the blade. Just a pity about that flaw in the blade. Have you had any similar experiance?
