Art Demo No. 16 / Part 2 abstract painting - the steps from the first layer to the finished work

You may have already seen the first part of this video. There I showed you the first layers and paint applications on the canvas for this painting. Let your imagination run wild and experiment with different arrangements and colors. There is no right or wrong here. I always prime my canvas first with gesso. I don't use a specific brand and therefore don't want to advertise. I usually mix my various shades together myself. Sometimes even directly on the canvas during painting. Just be a little brave and try it. In this video you can now see how I finish the painting. This is a complex process, which is why the video has a certain length. I cut it together from over 3 hours of video material. So take your time, too. I used the following tools in this painting: spatulas, pallets, knives and brushes in various sizes. In order to mix my colors a little more transparently if necessary, I use a pouring medium plus Floetrol. This has the advantage that the colors do not lose their luminosity. Like most of my paintings, I built the picture in many different layers and even if many wonderful details disappear again, the finished painting would not be the same if I omitted these intermediate steps. Den ersten Teil dieses Videos hast du vielleicht schon gesehen. Dort habe ich dir die ersten Schichten und Farbaufträge auf die Leinwand für dieses Gemälde gezeigt. Lass deiner Fantasie freien Lauf und experimentiere etwas mit verschiedenen Arrangements und Farben. Hier gibt es kein richtig oder falsch. Ich grundiere meine Leinwand immer zuerst mit Gesso. Ich verwende keine bestimmte Marke und möchte daher auch keine Werbung machen. Meine diversen Farbtöne mische ich mir meistens selbst zusammen. Manchmal sogar direkt auf dem Gemälde während des Malens. Sei da einfach etwas mutig und probiere. In diesem Video siehst du nun , wie ich das Gemälde fertig stelle. Das ist ein komplexer Prozess, weshalb das Video doch eine gewisse Länge hat. Ich habe es aus über 3 Stunden Videomaterial zusammengeschnitten. Also lass auch du dir ruhig Zeit. An Werkzeugen habe ich bei diesem Gemälde folgendes verwendet: Spachteln, Paletten Messer und Pinsel in diversen Größen. Um mir meine Farben im Bedarfsfall etwas transparenter zu mischen verwende ich ein Pouringmedium plus Floetrol. Das hat den Vorteil, dass die Farben dabei nicht an Leuchtkraft verlieren. Das Bild, habe ich wie die meisten meiner Gemälde in vielen verschiedenen Schichten aufgebaut und auch wenn viele wundervolle Details dabei wieder verschwinden wäre das fertige Gemälde doch nicht das gleiche, wenn ich diese Zwischenschritte auslassen würde.
