  • I let another two weeks pass without checking on the pool. This time we even had RAIN! I was expecting the pool to be over run with issues like cloudiness and algae.
Not a thing of the sort! In fact after testing the pool I even had a minute amount of chlorine left!
    Free Chlorine - .2 PPM
    Total Chlorine - .2 PPM
Not bad for not having added any chlorine in 2 weeks!
    PH - 8.0
This was expected given the heat and rain. I added 4 cups of acid to lower the PH.
    Total Alkalinity - 70 PPM
    This is good.
    Calcium Hardness - 275 PPM
This is well within an appropriate range.
    Cyanuric Acid - 25 PPM
    Perfect for holding low chlorine.
    Phosphates - 100 PPB
I expected there to be more since we had that rain but I'll take 100!
    Borate - 60 PPM
    Great!
The pool looked great, seriously can't complain about how well it looked given I haven't touched it in two weeks.
Have a great week everyone and stay on top of the pool! We are almost out of the season!
