Indeed they are and I agree the 885XL was especially nice to see. Was a pleasure to see the pair of them working together in the hay field, hasn’t been much of a summer up here so this was a bit special. Thanks for watching and commenting, always appreciated. Cheers, David
They certainly are Des. One of the cleanest and well maintained fleets of machinery round here, serviced on the dot even the oldest tractors like their 1966 McCormick 434 which I managed to film the other week and will post soon. Cheers, David
It certainly is Matthew. It’s the kind of outfit I remember from my youth that was new back then so was so great to see almost 40 years later. Pleased these classics are still around working in the fields. Cheers, David.
So would I Kieran! Yeh an absolute beauty of an 885, unfortunately don’t see that many of them about now so I was thrilled to get the chance to film these two in that lovely countryside. Cheers, Dave.
Thank you once again Rick. This one was one of my absolute favourites I filmed this year so I’m really pleased you enjoyed watching the finished article it as much as I enjoyed filming the video. Cheers, David.
Ah it was a lovely evening in a lovely part of the Cumbrian fells Alan. Great to film lovely machinery on a summers evening, just wish it had been like that these last few days as the weather is very unsettled! Cheers, David.
It certainly is Dave. Very well maintained and reliable when it’s brought out into the fields for the summer harvest! Thanks for watching and your comment, much appreciated. Cheers, David.
Now that brought back some very nice memories from my youth. Retired now and follow a lot of farming here on YT and it was really nice to see some older equipment(Especially the 885 and baler) at work and handling it with ease! Great video and good quality with very nice capture of the processes that were being carried out. I have liked and subscribed and off to look at the older videos.
Ah, Fraser I’m really pleased I’ve evoked some happy memories from your youth. I’m like you in enjoying seeing the older machines still at work as they were the new machines back in my late teens and early twenties. Remember hauling many a square bale onto the trailer, no flat 8 sledge at my late uncles farm but he did get a 21-bale squeezer that did make life a bit easier! Yes I like to try and capture the whole process as I see it in the field and bring it into the home. Many thanks for subscribing and the 👍, hope you enjoy some of my other videos, please let me know if you do. Cheers, David.
Thanks David. Not so many haymakers nowadays, I remember in my teens loading many a bale onto a flatbed trailer, no flat-8 grab back then but it kept me fit! Cheers, David.
@@davidwinthrop7077 You're welcome David yep your right there's not many left we never had 1 it was all done by hand in to 21s yep kept me fit to did it for about 30 years
Thanks Paul. Yes the farm has a lovely fleet, all in lovely condition. I’m hoping to get back there this weekend to see them round baling with a classic John Deere so hopefully the weather will be kind! Cheers, David.
Thank you. It was a beautiful day out, blue skies, lovely machinery and the smell of fresh hay. I’m hoping to film the whole process this summer from mowing the crop till stacking in the barn if the time and weather lets me. Fingers crossed! Cheers David
Wonderfull video David, well filmed and thought out with the angles and composure, really like the video with great scenery and tractors looking in great order matched by the International baler too, Congrats on 2K subs too, cheers Steve .
Many thanks Steve. It’s a lovely part of the Cumbrian fells to film in (the middle of nowhere!) and their machinery is so well looked after it’s an absolute joy to film. Thanks for that, they just seem to have creeped up lately and I’m sure it won’t be long till you’re on 2k also , your excellent videos deserve it. Cheers, Dave.
Hi Dell. It does work very well especially for a 40-year old sledge. Lays them out perfectly every time and making it easy for the flat-8 grab to pick up. Cheers, David.
Hi Jack. There’s been a few got hay baled the last couple of weeks here, good job as the last few day’s weather definitely haven’t been hay making weather! I would have loved to see that Jag 840, not so many mid-90s Claas self-propelleds around now. Cheers, David.
@@davidwinthrop7077 yes a fair bit less common these days. Was on 2nd cut yesterday, farmer owned machine but does a bit of contract work aswell. Yea weathers not been ideal round here but some have already cut winter barley ( for crimping mostly ).
2 fantastic Tractors especially the 885xl, Legandary 😊👍

I grew upon a farm listening to the 4 and 6 cylinder Internationals - fantastic sound and those two are in great condition - credit to their owners
They certainly are Jack. A fabulous sound from both engines, a proper bark of a note! Cheers, David.

Gorgeous 885xl.
It’s an absolute beauty Martin. Been with the owners a long time now and like all of the farms machinery a cherished tractor! Cheers, David.

That flat 8 bale stacker is working really well. Most of them I see working leave a bale or two askew.
Hi Dell. It does work very well especially for a 40-year old sledge. Lays them out perfectly every time and making it easy for the flat-8 grab to pick up. Cheers, David.
Great video!

Very nice kit , haven’t seen much hay around here recently , did see a p Reg jaguar 840 going today though
