Always with the details! Coating the bolts was very nice touch. Glad you hit on the fact that the threads weren't affected with the Cerakote over painting. Not gonna lie, I've always been a little hesitant with those style pipes, but it fits the look of the old-school two-stroke mixed with modern freshness. 👍👍
Curious about why you use the green Simple Green vs the purple? The green corrodes aluminum, especially when left to sit or soak. The purple is made specifically to be used on aluminum for that reason.
Vapor blasting or any blasting and sanding will remove the original oxidation from the aluminium surface. Salty moisture will attack the bare aluminium and oxidize it rapidly, hence the white dusty spots. The natural oxide layer will occur under several hours in a non corrosive environment. Usually, the aluminium is eloxed or clear coated on the bike. I'd clear cerakote the entire frame to make it last. Have fun in Serbia (cheers from a neighbour country)
Thanks for the feedback! I prefer to leave the vapor blasted frame raw, as maintaining it without a clear coat is as easy as rubbing it down with an SOS pad. With a clear coat, some spots will wear first, and refinishing will not be uniform. All preference though.
Kincade, you have done once again. I'm was so exited to see that fresh pipe. Nobody fixes up bikes like you do bro!!! Can't wait to see who will be the lucky winner of this thing!!! Love watching your vids bro and shoutout to mxrevival. He really did a great job with the frame!!!😍😍💪💪👍👍
Looks like surface oxidisation on the frame, packaging / storage potentially in a humid/damp place and a lack of oxygen will cause that effect quite quickly. Oh a nice build! its going to look great I'm sure!
I like a project and especially an underdog project, honda gave up on 2sts back in the late 90’s so its great to see one still going, I think the best cr’s were mid 90’s before the silly Ali framed stuff
They did make a works 2 stroke in the early 2000s . Most of the engines were destroyed. They took a ton of performance technology from there 2-Stroke road racing bikes. The engine came in its own aluminum carry case. Nice build by the way 🏁👍
I designed it and DeCal Works printed it for me! I'd reach out to them. If you want me to send you the file, let me know what you'd like changed (year, etc) and I can get it to you. Shoot me an email kincadep@gmail.com
Hey Kincade, first off nice work! Your work has been a huge inspiration and motivation as I restore an '06 KX250. I might have missed it, but do you have the color name/part number for the silver cerakote you used on the swingarm? I like that look a lot better than the brushed look I currently have going on.
Start: Belgrade, Serbia Day 1: Mokra Gora, Serbia Day 2: Sarajevo, Bosnia/Hercegovina Day 3: Mostar, Bosnia/Hercegovina Day 4: Trebinje, Bosnia/Hercegovina Day 5: Budva, Montenegro Day 6: Budva, Montenegro (Rest day) Day 7: Mratinje, Montenegro Day 8: Zabljak, Montenegro Day 9: Zlatibor, Serbia Day 10: Belgrade, Serbia
I had those rc handle bars on a kx I had me personally I didn’t get on with them n went back to some rental twin walls but it’s all in the preference n what a job your doing my friend
You build some cool bikes. Is the carb a Mikuni or a Kehien on that bike? I never heard of altering the offset on a CR250. Did you add or reduce it? Im surprized more companies dont sell cone pipes because they look so cool
@KincadePavich I bet that CR is going to turn like a slot car. I reduced the offset on my WR450 and it made all the difference. It actually felt lighter. . I got a Stic PWK for my 125 but haven't mounted it yet

I think white clamps on the rad hoses would look dope and compliment the black and red parts very well

Man this is gonna look amazing, that sticker on the head tube is a really great touch!
Thank you! The old one was too worn out to leave, so I had to add a custom touch!
@mxRevival

Looking awesome!! Great shout out for Cam!!
Gotta support the man who started it all!
Hey Kincade, where'd you get the Honda year sticker for the frame? Do they make year specific replacements so you can replace it after vapor blasting?
4:05 what metode is this please ?
Awesome so far KP. Is that stick for the headstock a repro? Can they be bought?
What's the coating you put on the bolts etc
Honda made a works edition , it’s called mugan
Dent in frame at 14:16?
Where do you get the head tube tags that say rebuilt in USA? Currently building an 04 cr250. Would love to have something like that

The carb is a SmartCarb! I talk about it quite a bit in later videos and go through the tuning process. The offset was reduced from 24 to 22mm.

Bike looks gorgeous! That pipe 🤤
Thank you Luke!! The Phathead ties it all together so nicely. Appreciate you!

Quality mate 👌
Thank you!
man that is a beatiful bike
It will be one day soon!
I'm curious why youns dont use a die grinder?
For what?
@KincadePavich is more powerful and spins faster than a dremel and is still compact enough for most projects
this thing is going to be nuts 😅
Love watching your vids especially the bike builds. What camera do you use to film?
Thank you! I film with a Panasonic G85. Riding and such GoPro Hero 10 Black and an iPhone 13 mini.
nice job kincade
Thank you!
Cool vid with Charles can’t wait to see the bike
Charles is the man! So stoked he agreed to help out on this. What a guy!
@@KincadePavich yeah, he is as cool as they come🤙
Loving the build. But please dont use rusty tools or sockets on a fresh nut or screw
Someone needs to teach this guy how to pack bearings.
I’ve gotten this comment a couple times so I’m sure you’re right - any tips?
dang, that bike is mint
It's getting there!!
Nice 👍

Make it a short one incase I win !
