Fantastic!!!!! I get there are folks out there who became fans because of their Chicago tributes but they are so much more than that now. Despite having to make changes to the band members they still rock it and expanding their repertoire to include other bands at fans requests and for variety all the while maintaining their excellence. So please give them a break and allow them to strut their stuff of all their tribute band coverage and not bi*** because its not all Chicago.

This band has captured the spirit and energy and the sound of the great band Chicago. 25 or 6 to 4 is my all time favorite song by Chicago. This band is a fantastic Chicago cover band. Bravo! Bravo! 👍👍👍👍👍
Had no idea how they were going to sound or if they would be able to continue playing Chicago’s top songs without Serge’s vocals. I’ve been following them for a couple of years and am finally getting the opportunity to see them in Charleston, SC in a couple of weeks. Hoping for a similar performance that I’m used to seeing on TH-cam.
I hope Serge is well. I spoke with him briefly after a show on their first trip. He has a wife and I believe two girls and lived in Kiev. With all the good will this can build, politics can throw it all away.
@@Azznbad Serge is okay. He's even doing benefit gigs in Kyiv. He's on Facebook pretty much daily. I miss him but I just saw L&F in Corpus Christi TX and they absolutely killed it. Great band.

That was the first show I covered of that year's tour, and I met the two new members Michael Puntov and Valery Martinov in the parking garage on the way up to the venue. Michael was actually quite sick that day; it is a wonder he was able to perform.
We're seeing them on 7/14/22 and I'm thrilled to hear they "still have it" despite the turnover. Change is disturbing, but it's reality for many bands.
He decided to go a different direction. He was NOT kicked out and he didn't simply quit! The new guitarist is fantastic! Although he doesn't sing, he "carries" a mean axe! We saw them in Atlanta and the show was amazing!
Yeah he “went a different direction” - literally fighting for his life, family and country of Ukraine! It’s a buzzkill but I can’t support a Russian cover band of western free music right now.
I went to last years production in MGM Northfield great and the same with the new members. But , as with this show the music is and was all mushed up together. The studio productions are PERR FECTION!!!
WOW - first time I have heard this band...I thought as far as tribute bands go this is one of the best I have ever heard....compared to a band like Zeperella or the Pink Floyd or Beatle tribute bands this band is 10 times better....at least IMO. Im a fan now :-)

Kashirin, the guitarist, already left for whatever reason, it took two people to replace him. I know that an act like this will have its ins and outs, but come on, I will be looking at these folks for the third time on 7/8/22 in Jim Thorpe, PA, and I want a good show. I'm sure we will get it, but I miss some of these people that I mentioned before, just because of their personalities, and their passion for what they do.

But I will miss his signature plaid pajama suit, as I miss Kashirin's signature "Police Line" guitar strap. Not to mention their respective talents and personalities on stage. Yes, people go in and out of groups, but I did have the opportunity to see the original Chicago in the mid 70's at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. This is why I love L&F so much, they bring the energy of those original seven guys alive again! (Yeah, Ksenia doesn't hurt the act much, either...) There is a very complicated set of laws that covers rights to songs, both for live shows and recordings and go so far as to cover covered songs played here on you tube if a band wants to enforce them. To preform music live, for songs not in public domain, you are supposed to have permission from I believe the artist, and pay for using it if they demand it. That is often waved or ignored unless the original writers and performers demand it. I think technically Chicago could refuse to allow cover versions of these songs even be played here on TH-cam and some bands do just that. Metallica covers are hard to find, or they once were they could have changed. Frampton protected his stuff for a long time. It all depends on the band. If you preform a song for money, like in a bar, either you or the bar is supposed to pay royalties. Obviously that doesn't always happen bit it is enforceable. The laws regarding recording or reproducing a song for a movie even if it's background music in a scene also requires permission and royalties under a set of laws I don't even pretend to understand. It has gotten so complicated that some guy managed to get the rights to happy birthday and restaurants can't even use it for birthday parties without paying royalties. Like I said it's really complicated and there are teams of lawyers that do nothing else.
You think L&F will do a concert in Ukraine for the people and Sergie to rejoin the band in a message of solidarity against your government? That would make a difference....

Not the same without Serge and Sergey. The vocals are not on par without them (although ok) and Sergey's guitar performance was more note-for-note accurate and sooo much smoother. But the newer stuff they're doing now uses much more keyboard and is less guitar focused and works well with the new male vocals which sound a bit processed. It would be hard for anyone to do the older Chicago stuff better than the original Leonid lineup that recorded those songs.
Boy I dont know man...I guess I need to go back and listen to the original line up---this is the first time I have heard them tonight and I thought it was outstanding....and I have been playing guitar for over 50 years and I have played in bands over the years...and I thought this guitarist did a hell of a job.....
@@tefenstrat Yes, I am also a 50 yr guitarist and I think if you go back and look at the older Leonid videos you will notice how Serge does a lot of the vocal work (wonderfully) and faithfully reproduces every one of Terry Kath's leads with a smoothness and groove that is hard to match. You will also see that they featured him much more often because of the way he absolutely nailed it. You owe it to yourself to go look at the earlier stuff and then I would be interested to hear your assessment once you do. I just think his style fits better with the music. Cheers!
This guy is good, but he's no Serge. But thanks to Putin Serge is staying in the Ukraine to defend his homeland. I'm hoping Serge will be back with the band for the next tour. I saw them last year. I could see them again in a couple of months, but don't want to without Serge.

Truthfully these guys sound MUCH better than the “current” version of Chicago. They also play harder and with more conviction.
