Thank you so much for reviewing this IEM! I agree that it's too good to be ignored by most reviewers. You mentioned smooth a few times and i couldn't agree more. It has a lovely, non fatiguing sound about it. I really enjoy listening to them. 😊 The only issue l have is sometimes the plastic protrusions that help it fit snuggly can start to hurt my ears after a bit. Other than that, they are a great value. I appreciated your thorough and clear explanation of these. It was very well done!
Man thank you for your comment, really appreciate it! Glad you liked the review. And yeah the "smooth" word count is through the roof with that one haha. And I totally get that the fit can be a bit "too snug" with the protrusions. Sometimes these more ergonomic shapes fit really well, but with 7 drivers each side this thing is really not small and the little hooks have to align with your ears to be really comfortable.
@@absolutelyaverageaudioreviews Same problem I had with the CCA TRiO, it's big with all the drivers packed in there, sound stage is huge. But less comfortable to the smaller TRN Conch and zs 10 pro 2.
I wrote 2 long comments and accidentally deleted, ugh. Please keep reviewing TRN. They make excellent budget products, a step above KZ IMO. T-tips are so good, I love sticky tips for my hard to fit ears. PLEASE can consider Orca, we need a review! Got it for $9 but still super cheap at full price $15. ST7 sounds a lot like a warmer V80 with less bass, slightly more mids. V80 is small, beautiful metal build. Sounds great and upgrades to Amazing with a paper filter on nozzle.
Ah damn I would have liked to read them haha. Thanks for your comment anyway, really appreciate it! But yeah these definently feel better than KZ overall, really nice build, I quite like the sound and especially the eartips are awesome. I also saw the Orca but I am kinda fed up with switches haha. I know it makes them more versatile, but sometimes less is more for me. More TRN reviews are coming though!
@@absolutelyaverageaudioreviewsI know what you mean about the switches but also it is nice to pick your preferred sound, when they actually make a noticeable difference. With Orca they do. I don't have Delci but the UDU/101 setting to me sounds like what is being described of Delci but hard to tell w/o hearing it. Too bad they no longer make v80. Budget 2+2, 6 years ago. Way ahead of it's time.
@@absolutelyaverageaudioreviews I love the cables they provide on the st7/conch. way better than any kz cable, and the tips are bettter too. I'ma agree with you there. TRN's build quality on the conch/st7 is way better than KZ/CCA/QKZ, just feels more premium. But CCA trio is a killer iem at the 30 dollar range, just 7.5/10 comfort for me tho. TRN conch and st7 are 8.5/10 comfort.
Ive been considering the TRIO but I've modded my Castor Bass and it sounds fucking amazing. It seems like it probably sounds like what I've heard of the Trio. Hard to tell without actually hearing it.
Is there any comparison between trn st7 and cca raphsody? I am planning to buy 1 of them but don't know what to choose. Can't find any comparison. The reviews are just cca raphsody or trn st7 🤔
Very different soundwise. Rhapsody is more V-shaped, with especially more Bass and Punch. ST7 has more midrange-focus and sounds really nice and clean but not harsh with instruments, if you listen to alot of EDM and stuff it maybe has not enough low end power for you. But yeah ST7 seems to be more comfortable.
I'm smaller ears , rhapsody is not that big as we see in utube.but slightly bit bugger only nothing to worries about rhap beat this and rhap can be smoother and can be a good sound thick when u tune it right.i tune smooth signature uddd switch. treble goes with dac dependant also.use ess sabre dac if u Wana hear some hi end music tastes.
I like the cables they provide, they dont detach like the kz cables. And comfort is pretty good, unfortunately the CCA trio, is good, I would say better than the ST7 and Conch, but they beat the trio in comfort.
@@absolutelyaverageaudioreviews tried it for you 😅 ordered a set along with foam tips. (had to glue the housing halves cause they were loose but no big deal) The stock tips def no good but the medium spring tip is pretty good all around. Foam tips though, for sure bring in some nice DD bass, or should i say keep it in. Doesn't seem to affect the rest of the frequency range too much though, if at all. 👌
MAN I AM SO SORRY :D I am so damn occupied with other stuff recently and I always came back here and said man I still have to try the foam tips this dude was asking for it. Thanks for trying it out yourself though! I actually never really use foam tips because I find them strangely uncomfortable, but I guess you have to give them time to get "in shape" for your ears. Glad you got an upgrade there in the bass sound. :)
Truthear Red has a bit better low bass and sounds less rich in the midrange. ST7 is a bit thick and laid back here, but really nice to listen to. The EA500LM has tighter bass than the other ones (meaning it extends well and bass is there, but you may miss some rumble and punch, but great for having clean and fast bass), midrange and treble is very clean but (at least for me) not annoyingly so. If you value clarity, detail and such stuff, the Simgot is a very good choice. It could be too aggressive and thin sounding though. The ST7 sound smoother than the other ones while still having nice clarity and not dull treble. It does miss a bit of deep bass extension and bass sounds softer than on the other two. Very sweet sound though. Nice to relax.

Great review, thank you. TRN reviews are far and few between.
Thank you too! Yeah I thought it was kinda funny the ST7 gets overlooked somehow, really nice IEM for that specific sound.
thank you

hmmm, sounds like a good candidate for foam tips 🤔
do you have any on hand to try out and comment...? 😀
Of course, no problem. I will try them with foam tips and get back to you soon. :)
