I also love how Larry just lets him shine and share all his knowledge as well. Larry is not just a great photographer and videographer, but also a great person to interview and tour these places
I remember in the late 90’s/early 2000’s the exchange rate between the UK and Japan was very beneficial and there were thousands of imported cars from Japan to the UK. Twin Turbo Supras were available for £3k, R32 GTRs for £6k, R33 GTRs for £10k, FD RX7’s for £3k. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Love love MASA and his buddy Yoshi. I hope someday you can interview Yoshi because Larry he is Multifaceted: A young businessman , JDM ENTHUSIAST and beyond Cultural intellect of Japan. The only problem is he’s so humble until he’s out with MASA and Dustin Williams and then BOO! His vast knowledge on Japanese dining/ automobiles varying degrees/ levels of Japanese culture erupts. He’s able to explain so much👌
The Indy yellow NA1 NSX-R is exactly my spec/colour/model dream car, just need to remove the spoiler extender and changing the wheels for a set of gloss black TE37s.
Reminds me of the 80 year old Japanese grandma who gifted her cherished FD RX-7 back to the dealer when she surrendered her license. Sometimes these cars become more than just cars and end up being a part of their family
People complain about there not being anymore affordable beaters but that's because these same people beat them to a point where they weren't usable anymore and disappeared in the junkyard which drove down the number of them that are available which naturally raises their price because high demand and low supply. So the people that beat cars and never took care of them are actually apart of creating the issue they're complaining about. Dudes fell on their own sword.
This 1000% I remember test driving a few 500 dollar AE86s back in 2004, so many were already falling to pieces from abuse. That was over 20 years ago 😂
Yep those are the same idiots who never upped their earning game and now are mad. If they kept the drift missiles from becoming drift missiles when they had the chance, they'd have had their cake and eaten it too, but now it's everyone else's fault for "overpaying", when they are just full of COPE. Those types of people never man up and take responsibility, always blaming others for their pain. Well tough cookies to them, the great examples of these cars will be in the hands of those that respect them, and the COPERS can play with digital ones on Gran Turismo until they die.
Amazing video, loved the presentation and passion - Thank you to 'TopRank Classic Specialties' for giving us a tour through a wonderful series of vehicles
As a 47 year old and getting my drivers license in 1993 and being a all things on wheels I look back at all these car and think of all these car being in the car magazines back in the day doing the the same as I watch this video. Drooling 🤤
Crazy how it was a flex in Japan to own a lhd car lol I can remember when my friend jordan imported a rhd 96 integra type r to California that was a major flex that was in like 2005
I have a 73 celica because reality smacked me in the face when I looked for a Ken and Mary sky line. Love the classic Japanese domestic cars and how they merge American and Japanese design.
Checked their site, amazing cars, maybe someday I’ll own an R34 but that day is not today. In the meantime I’ll stare at my Hot Wheels JDM collection and dream
What an ending in 2024. If I see all these JDMs used car but is like brand new, really I have it all. So Larry, thank you for all these car culture content in 2024 and I can't wait plenty more in 2025. And tbh, I like watched car culture content with Larry every Saturday night (in Indonesia time) even you guys in the US is already woke up or not. So over and out 2024, see you in 2025 ❤Kris
How hot is it in Japan?! It's a breezy day and that kid is sweating like he is in a sauna 🥵. At the beginning I decided that was just a weird t-shirt design, but it was just salt stains from sweat. Maybe he just gets That hype still to work there, or maybe he was just nervous around the great Larry Chen 😉
While I do think it’s cool, this sounds just like any other dealership I’ve ever been to…” this is so rare “”this is very unique”,” there was only 130 of these made” I swear I heard that same thing at least 30 times in this video. At the end of the day, they have like 10 different cars and all sorts of colors. They are catering to what sells. I get it but come on.
lol, when he said you can buy a nice house for that price & I immediately thought California home prices. He just meant a nice mid west home. Anyone curious that 300 mile GTR is only $350k
Prices are insane. They are not a $200k plus driving experience. They feel like a modern car but that’s it. People in the US want to live out their Gran Turismo fantasies and are willing to pay through the nose for it.
"They are not a $200k plus driving experience." That's your opinion. Also not everyone is poor. 300k is like 10k for some. Your entire comment sounds like cope.
@@markbailey5393 How's it weird? It's a fact and that's why these places exist and do well. What's weird is you have nothing of value to debate this fact.
never played GT but i have the real life cars in my garage .... Apparently i dont have enough $$ or not YT famous enough for Hagerty or TRC to come by and look.
As a skyline fan... I still can't justify over a million for a skyline. It's in F40 territory which is still over priced - but if I had one or another, it would be an F40. Or the cleanest r32 or r34 gts or gtr possible and bank the rest of the money...maybe have a chaser as a daily
I'd bet that JDM classics like the GTR, Supra, etc. will have about 5-10 years before the values drop to something sensible and 20-30 years before they lose any significant value. Same thing was said about American classics. Now you see these rare and restored cars going for a fraction of the investment. Main reason is that collectors get old and die off and families liquidate at the best auction price at the time. What you are, I was; what I am, you will be.
If only my local dealers knew 1% of what this guy knows about their inventory, buying a car in the US would be fun. I think most car dealers deliberately avoid hiring petrol heads, instead they hire experienced timeshare telesales folks who would sell a pair of glasses to their blind relatives.
The Yen is weak but prices are way up so it’s actually worser to buy one now… also didn’t see any S13’s so that means a clean original example is much harder to find (yes I know they are much cheaper meaning less profit margin when flipping)Too many R34’s makes them feel cheap..
If the dealership reads this, i want one S2000 AP1, and two NSX's, one from the 80s with the pop-headlights and one later with fixed headlights. Thanks in advance!
I used to have a similar garage... in Gran Turismo 😂
*in GTA 😂

I love that employee of TopRank, he is a genuine car lover. The answers he gives for the questions asked is rare.
His answers gave me goosebumps 😂

I love a good Skyline like anyone else, but these prices are out of control.
It's what the market can bare, not what some schmuck on the internet THINKS they are worth. COPE.

Masa the GOAT. So glad he’s getting his shine and due.
I’m not a huge fan of jdm cars but your videos are great and i watch everyone! The photo is super and the music is spot on.

21:41 That Audi R8 peeking into the frame has a great stance/presence in relation to everything else in the lot.
❤great episode Larry loved it

There’s an R34 V-Spec II Nür in Thailand with 20 original km on the odometer. It’s mint. Yes, twenty.
i could melt my retirement with those. Those old GT-Rs and the Cosmo
Wow just an incredible inventory 🙌 thanks Larry 🍻
Amazing video. The enthusiasm from the staff member makes the video.
Watching those Calsonic race car winning was so cool .. I have a Nissan in my driveway right now...
Been following them for years! It's amazing!
There are so many variations of R34 with low build numbers…but you add them all up and overall production must be huge
There were less 34s made than 32s or 33s.
20:27 Masa has my respect, smart dude.
I think I died and gone to heaven!!! 😍
This place is nuts 🥜 🤯
Very nice collection of unique vehicles. Way outta my price range.

its so nice seeing all those shiny R34 and then remembering all those hidden rust spots from your own R34 restoration videos ruins it for me😅😂

do they have a website to check prices?

love old toyota land cruisers series 70
Its crazy the price for a old Nissan

but also generally a hot year. Not even the winter got that cold. hen.
A Nissan. Bought by people with no credit and Hertz rentals.
