How the police force's Emergency Response Teams tackle terror threats, armed attacks

Emergency Response Teams from the Singapore Police Force are trained to take down potential terror threats and armed attacks. The teams were developed in 2016 and tasked with keeping Singapore streets safe. Later this month, they will be taking part in this year's counter-terrorism Exercise Northstar. Officers undergo tactical and physical training and learn to adapt to different terrains, especially in urban areas like shopping malls and HDB flats.
