Interesting and pretty impressive that the suspect was nailed partly with the help of an off-duty officer. Shows that their work doesn't necessary end just because they have knocked off from their job.
Kudos to the off-duty officer for being alert and putting in the effort to trail the suspect and reporting it to his headquarters even while off the job.
honestly people will not attempt crime when the dressed police are around (unless caught off guard), so work goes to the off duty officer to actively pursue one.
