Probably one of the best lead parts I've seen Ola play in the intro
Inspired by those 7 gauge strings 😂 couple big bends
The JP masterclasses hitting the bloodstream
Yes. Love his playing. Just not the Junk Jackson.
Petrucci style yeah
You stole my comment 😂
Sometimes a company just nails the design of a head stock. The Jackson 6-in-a-line is so angular, and they made the logo so big; it's among my favorite head stock designs out there.
That is why I have 3 of them, 4 come Friday.
I believe the headstock was inspired by the nose of the 1970s supersonic passenger jet, the Concorde, and the name of Randy Rhoades first Jackson design.
I love the classic style Jackson headstocks. They beat out everyone in terms of looks, including Ibanez, LTD, and BC Rich. I didn't like it when Jackson started changing them up with their 7 string models, removing the sharkfin inlays, etc. Even reversing the headstock. Newer Jacksons look way too nu-metal for my taste.
Aaron
Always loved the shark tooth inlays too
that or ESP reverse
@@AAAA-lt9hq sameeeee, I’m also salty that Jackson doesn’t release more 7 string models with the in line headstock facing downward:P had to find a 2018 model in Satin Black👍🏼
That intro solo was a real tearjerker! Phenomenal playing Ola ❤
Shows how well respected ola is to be trusted to give a fair review of his competition.
Dang it now I want a Jackson - this sounded killer! That shell pink is such a nice colour too! Jackson always pulling through with great guitars as usual!
My goodness that intro tune you composed for this is fuckin phenomenal!
Man, that is a killer guitar! I absolutely love jackson and what theyve been putting out lately
I have a professional that was made in the mid 90s and have swapped it over from the reflex actives to EMG active but still has the non-recessed brushed metal covers and all that stuff it’s just different color and I was the necklace coded and everything and nothing has been through a lot over the years but still sounds incredible plays incredible.. hell, it was actually one of my first guitar that I still have it because it just sounds so damn good and plays so good..
This is kind of taking me back to that high-quality build that I used to see in Jackson going way back..! It’s still have the original. Floyd rose, only thing I did, that was at some point put some heavier duty screw that I tapped and drill but yeah, just wasn’t meant to be about mine. Lol just that I totally agree with you and that… This is sick!
I also love Jackson, but I’m kinda annoyed by them rn. Prices for their guitars rise a lot and the X Series, with Jackson pickups and a Floyd rose special cost a lot already!! I do love the Rob Cavestany signature, but a FR special for THAT PRICE?! That’s not okay anymore…
It’s nice but I feel like I’ve seen it before, like a lot.
Fellow Jackson freak here as well! 🤘
@@Tatted-ne7tu Yeah, Jackson has been in business a long time. I bet you've seen a lot of Les Pauls, too. Like, a lot.
"I have no idea what the guitar is going to look like."
He opens to find a pink guitar coincidentally the same day he wears a pink shirt. Bravo.
That's a beautiful guitar man! Really cool! Awesome tone! Love the offset dot inlays! No pickup rings, tthe trussrod acess is very cool too!
As the tester who set up this guitar I'm a little sad about the little hee hee but glad to see that the guitar made it safe and still plays great. I also enjoy the feel of the neck. Also these guys take 9s, but in my opinion 10s would feel better.
Maybe powdercoated springs would be an easy way to solve it?
90s jacksons from Japan are amazing, wish I still had my fusion pro
I feel ya there man, used to have a PS-4 Performer with the blue flame finish, excellent guitars
That intro was absolutely beautiful man 👌🏻
That’s the best looking pink I’ve ever seen. Looks so clean. Very nice.
That intro piece was amazing Ola!! Wow...
Bro your lead playing has gotten so much better over the years. Good stuff.
That guitar is so sic! I love the color and classic jackson style combined! Killer killer looking guitar!
I love my Jackson guitar.. I like to look at my Fender Strat.. I like to play my Jackson.. Idk how people play the Fender neck... lol I didnt come out of my shell until my fingers wrapped around the Jackson neck, now in my house I feel like I play like whomever I want finally.. Ty Jackson, its time for me to upgrade to the Virtuoso ~ Thanks for the awesome video Ola
Jackson putting out some good stuff lately. I have been impressed with their USA line up!
That is one tasty effing intro man. Man, I really was taken aback with how awesome that sounded.
I've been a Jackson player since 1997. To my hands and ears, nothing plays and sounds more tight. I'm a fairly heavy-handed rhythm player (mostly 80s & 90s style metal), and I hate when the strings don't give me any player feedback. Jackson is the only brand I have tried that is consistent in that regard across all models and build levels.
That all being said, this guitar sounds exactly how I expected it would! I have always been attracted to the Jackson alder body, maple neck, and Seymour Duncan combination. I foolishly exchanged all of my SDs for EMGs years ago, and I regret it. One of these days, I'll switch one Kelly back to SD, one Kelly to DiMarzio, and leave the Kelly that came stock with EMGs alone. That should provide me with a nice sonic pallette at my disposal.
In various states of assembly, have a 4th Kelly, a RR24, and 2 Dinkys that I am still undecided as to which direction I'll go. There's so many pickup options out there these days. I sometimes experience option paralysis when trying to decide!
Thank you for the review, Ola!
You mention that you're heavy handed, does that mean you keep the action fairly high on your guitars?
I have a USA SL2 and a Japan SL3 as well as a Charvel model 5a single humbucker.most of the rest of my stuff is more single pickups from other brands.some converted to single.
Dude, 90% of every guitar brand is made by the same 3 factories by the same foreigners. You can only speak on actual USA made Jackson’s or other guitars. If that’s what you got then cool
Purrfect Presentation Ola..! Tack!
Wow, Ola! Beautiful solo work man! Tastefully played and with a nice amount of restrain. Sweet legato too!
As for the guitar, I'm a sucker for shell pink. I have a satin shell pink Tele Deluxe.
Holy hell how good was the intro!! I am following you for years now and every time you are getting better.
Jesus, Ola… I didn’t need to cry at the intro to a guitar review but here we are 😢 Amazing playing on this one!
You nailed the specs dude!! Well done
THE CUT AWAYS AND CONTOURS ARE KICKIN!!!! GREAT PLAYING!!!! SWEET EVH ELEPHANT SQWEEEEEEEL!!! can't wait for the next...VIDS!!!!!!!!! mitch from minnesota
That bend/release and back into the bend in the intro was sick. Jazzerfied melody, it was awesome
Dude... Ola that intro solo... It was beautiful my man. Cheers 🍻
Jackson is my go-to guitar since my dad bought me one for my Christmas/ graduation gift. I love the way the Jackson feels when I play. Right now I only own two. A Jackson JS32 DKA Transparent Red, and a Jackson JS32 King V White with Black Bevels.
You need to try yourself a soloist
Crazy good sound thanks for the foam tip for the springs !!!!
Ola's lead chops just get better and better as time goes on
Edit: I also think the pink is sick
yeah cuz he suca balz at lead
@@russianvideovlogguy so edgy, i applaud you
Just played one and was blown away by the feel of the neck, and tight attack sound. Fukn awesome. Well impressed 🤘❤️🇦🇺
And it’s just under 3k in Aus. American made with affordability!
I bought ones
Bro love your channel! Thank you for your service sir! 🫡🖖🏼❤️🔥🙏🏼🤘🏼
Really awesome playing in the intro man
Nothing beats the feel of a well crafted Jackson
My vintage 88 school bus yellow Jackson strat will never die. Stills shreds after all these years.
I just bought 2 of the Jackson SL2H-V guitars. Hands down best guitars I've ever played in 27 years. Top mounted Floyd, volume knob moved down and back. Perfect guitars for the money.
Damn! Nice demo dude! That intro tone and soaring lead is 🔥🔥🔥
I still cherish my U.S.A. Soloist from 04! Phenomenal guitar. As is my Solar baritone 29!! Kinda like that color…it’s like Pepto/Ivory.😂
not sure I could pull it off though!
Well
Done!
Hey Ola, love that Monty Python reference! Your solos are sounding awesome!
Ola. that intro playing is awesome!
That intro solo was fucking awesome.
Dude! Awesome solo intro!!
Sick, dude! I like how you ended the performance with a nod to Dimebag 🤘
Man, I can't believe how good that sounds.
Ola pretty much spot on guessing the spec! It is JB and 59 pickups! . Kinda weird Jackson haven't post in their website but most of the social media and reverb already have the informations about this guitar...
Being released this week.
i've had my Jackson Kelly since '98 . love it . Jackson for life \m/
Awesome 🤘 Sounds great 🔥
this is the best demo of this guitar on the internet
Stunning!
That intro solo!🔥🔥🔥
Solid Intro lad
Wow that was butter. nice intro!
I've been watching you for so long that I can hear in your playing when you like a guitar. Woohooo ❤️
Absolutely awesome ❤
Petrucci's Guitar camp really did your soloing some wonders! That intro tune is fucking INCREDIBLE!!!!
That foam hack 🔥🔥🔥
That was so cool, great video and demo.. You should do that more often where you have to guess the specs like that. Have a good day!
Man.. that pink. So awesome.
NEVER forget Ola is a lead guitarist in The Haunted
Such a tasty intro bit Jesus 🎸🎸
I would guess SH6 in the bridge and JB or 59 in the neck. Jackson uses those a lot. I’ve got a similar setup in one of my Gibson Les Pauls. Great pickups. They are perfect for giving just the right amount of aggression without coloring the sound too much. So you have a good flat starting point to dial in with your amp and pedals. Awesome pickups that can sound good for any type of music. They can crunch with the best of them and clean up nicely for other types of music. Always liked Jackson’s. I don’t currently have one, but I may get one of these.
Best lead you’ve done yet!
you could really hear the influence from a view from the top of the world in that intro solo
Damn that looks slick. Great playing too
I love Jackson guitars!!!!! Especially the USA models and the USA custom shop models! Mike Shannon is a luthier God!!!👍😀🎸🤘
My best friend was one of the interns that helped make the marketing campaign for the virtuoso series it’s so surreal seeing it in action now
I love my Jackson JS32 all through neck modified with a Seymour Dimebag Humbucker at the bridge with a Seymour 59 on the neck ❤
Very cool from Jackson. I was searching for one with mostly the same specs in an ivory colored body and shark fin inlays from Charvel but this looks cool too.
Bring back shark fins.
Dude that intro solo....holy shit. o_o
I’m definitely hearing some Jeff look is inspired trills and bends 😊
nice! great tune too!!
checked the specs, you were pretty spot on man.
I love that Ola is so goofy and fun yet he's a serious player!
OLA that solo is beautiful
Great sounding pups
Im usually not impressed by guitar solos but this one was really good! Really special with a lot of feel 👍🏻
Daaaaaaaamn, you snapped on that intro, dude. Nice!
Rad shreds in the intro!!!
Thanks Ola, great demo, That satin pink was gross in the 80s and its still not my fave decades later - but just my 2 bits. I would have liked to have seen the paint be eye searing loud bubble gum pink with a matching reverse headstock to truly nod the 80s shred, but it sounds and play nice at the end of the day. Little too pricey for my budget. Thanks for the vid.
$1950.00 USD'S but very excellent guess there Ola! Also excellent guess as to what it's constructed of - you nailed that as well! Nice play through (just saying) 🤘🤘
It's about time you played some legit shred lead, your always just so tasteful with leads and that's good always of course but yea, more than the norm for a change, representing the guitar too I guess is why you did that, whatever pretty soloing cool🔥🤘🏻
The pink is really cool looking
Dude, you just shredded like a MUTHA in the intro!!! holy shiiiiiit
Your lead playing has gone really good!
I can't get over how much they just straight up used the Charvel DK24 Pro body and stuck at Jackson neck on it. I have the 2018 DK24 and the body and heel contour and everything are exactly identical to this.
Yeah... and I like the Charvel speed neck profile enough that I don't know that I'd want to drop the extra thousand bucks for this tbh.
Dude? Sweet! 🤘
Kickass...a Jackson fits you...I wish I had one.
Essa guitarra é linda e com timbre animal 🔥🔥🎸🎸
You sir are of the craft
I agree with Nergal: A guitar can be any colour as long as it is black.
That shell pink looks clean as hell 🥵
Hope to hear about new Soen drops next SWOLA!
Jamming the hell out of Hollowed rn and it's really great.
Your improv was on point today Mr Ola…real nice.
And OH BOY…my Solar S1.6 Baritone in that wicked matte lime burst with the poplar top and Evertune bridge has officially cleared US Customs this morning!! I can’t fuckin wait!! This will be number 13 or 14. I never thought I would even have 5 really good guitars, but then I did. Then I went nuts and bought 4 Music Man JP series and a high end Sterling JP100D, and just like that, I went from 5 guitars to 10 in less than a year. Then I bought a sick black USA Strat and an old 90s Charvel acoustic electric, and my Solar Baritone which put me where I am now…more than 12 but less than 200.
Fun fact: The Solar is only the second guitar I bought brand new, the other was my 1991 Charvel 475 Deluxe Exotic.
I literally just got an email from UPS 30 seconds hahuùüî😮about my guitar headed here and they sent the bill for the VAT, Duties & “fees” which is gonna cost $65.95. Yay for taxes and fees!!
I'm a big fan of Jackson guitars !!!
damn good demo. should be turned into a song. that solo was amazing
always loved Jackson/Charvel!!!!!!!!!!!! have my black/silver crackle finish 475 Ltd Edition (active pickups and mid boost) since 1988 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and it is one heavy guitar in weight and in sound !!!!!!!!!
Ola, these are the specs I found for the guitar.
