Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

A better way to clip emus wings, would be to hold him upside down by his legs and cover his face with a cloth or rag. His wings will fall to his sides, and then you can click them easier. They calm down after a second of being upside down. Just a suggestion for next time. Love the video by the way! The baby goats are already getting strong!

All i can say, is im really happy you guys do this. Every time you upload, i watch it! waiting for the baby goats was like Christmas!! We probably would have goats of our own.. but where i live, you can't have farm animals!! (Goats, Chickens, Horses Etc.) But seeing those baby goats.. The highlight of my day! Keep up the great work!!

Yay!! Luna and Willow have action on the v-log, as well as the other animals. Emu needs to get his wings clipped. I am not too sure of Emu’s spurs it would be more dangerous when he kicks. Please monitor them and give him a spur trim as needed when they grow. It will be a safety issue for the little kids and everyone if he gets aggressive like how he is with tilly.

You can harvest earth worms and feed them to tilapia fish and it is better than pellets
The only hard part is you have to train them to come to the shallow end and hand feed them the worms or toss them worms were the other types of fish can't reach

Yeah they're pretty mean. I would like to raise my own pair for Thanksgiving some year (find somebody who wants the other), but I would definitely not want to get in the turkey business. I'm very happy with nice docile chicken breeds.
We got 10-15 one time and they all teamed up on one that ultimately had to be put down.... personally am not the biggest fan of keeping poultry animals.
My sister went running one day and a whole flock chased her for like four blocks. They are mean little suckers.

never clip just one wing, it's really traumatizing to birds and makes them incredibly unbalanced and prone to getting hurt. I highly suggest cutting the other wing too so then he's at least balanced.

I thought I read somewhere that baby goats, when their are two of them with the same mom , will pick a teet and only drink from their preferred teet. Perhaps the baby black and white goat is confused as to which one is hers.

I think Penny's two girls are absolutely cuteness overload! I've noticed what a good mom Penny is. In the livestream, she's super chill and her babies will always migrate back to her. Her kids play well with each other and love to climb on their mama! Love your videos!
My mom who grew up on a farm used to say Turkeys were the biggest jerks on the farm. Becuase she was the smallest person around they would chase and peck her everytime she left the house. She was absolutely delighted when christmas rolled around. She had seconds of christmas dinner out of sheer spite and was laughing the whole meal.

You guys treat your goat's like my family used to we had beetal goat's. I do not recommend them they give good milk their taller than Luna, and have massive utturs but babies get stuck offten during birth. I love watching your channel beacuse of the home feeling you all bring to your channel. If that made any sense at all lol.

Well my birthday weekend has turned out to be total crap so I hope Luna does have her baby/s on Tuesday that will make everything better. Here’s hoping she delivers on the 22nd come on Luna.
I've been driving for 50 years. and I know it's anecdotal , but in my experience changing lanes too often is a sign of impatiences and wasted effort. I would say that 80% or more accidents are caused by lane changes. YOU GO GIRL.
