Why I Needed a Bike

This is a video essay on some of my background with road bikes. I got them all used and all for relatively cheap. They are one of the few things I collect.

During Covid, I bought two steel bikes, both Schwinn. One is my '88 Le Tour and the other is my '84 World Sport. Love 'em both!

Just add Shimano R55C4 brake shoes or brake pads on any old bikes and the braking just becomes super crispy. I highly recommend if you plan to be a spandex wearing cyclist in the future! 😂

The brakes on these garage finds are always suspect 😂
And I’m probably 35lbs away from spandex 😅😂

@@billywilhelm the trick is wear lycra pants like in GCN and polyester t-shirts. This makes you look 20lbs lighter 😂
