Mason Pearson Popular vs. Bass Brush Dupes

For cleaning the brush, could I use a drop of dawn soap mixed with warm water instead of shampoo? Most shampoos have oils in them that coat the hair. Whereas dawn soap removes all oils including the oils from your hair that the brush soaked up.

Actually, you can't find the brush that cleans the brush. That brush comes with most original MP brushes.

Mason Pearson has a brush just like the one you showed. It's about $20. Lots of beauty supply companies online carry these. There's a lot more to the MP than the Popular. Combs are wonderful,too.

An cheap alternative is the wet brush shine. Which i will buy so soon.

I tried this brush. It was nice at first but after a while I felt like it didn't do anything for my hair.

Wet brush is fine for wet hair. I use it for that as you are not supposed to use the MP on wet hair. But once your hair is blowdried there is nothing to compare to the MP brush.

Does the black bass brush make your hair static-y?

I apologize for my late reply. I missed your comment. The black bass brush does not make my hair staticy. But, my hair doesn't get staticy very often. I use a lot of products to tame my frizz, so I think that prevents static. Overall, I strongly recommend the black bass brush. Thank you for the comment!
