    One thing I wanted to see was what it packs down too. You talked about stuff sack but didn’t show it unless I missed it! Great video though.

      Thank you for your comment! That’s some great feedback… we didn’t show it indeed 😂🙈
      the stuff sack from Cumulus is super small, the sleeping bag fits into it, but we use a compressed waterproof sack from sea to summit which is 13 liters where the bag gets a little less compressed into it. The stuff sack cumulus uses is 8 liters.

      @@Hikaholics No worries, I was looking for a new sleeping bag and part of it was pack size so it was fresh in my mind! Went with a Sea to Summit Spark IV in the end!

    Thank you for reviewing this sleeping bag! Cumulus indeed makes amazing gear. I think I will add Panyam 600 to my selection. I already use their Quilt 350 and Lite Line 400 and I am very satisfied.

      Hi. Can you share your view on the lite line 400 vs quilt 350?

      @@middot2513 it is like a "sleeping bag vs quilt" kind of question. There is a couple of videos about this topic on TH-cam already. As for the temperature performance of these two products from Cumulus, they are the same thing. The difference is in style of sleeping. I use the Quilt 350 and my girlfriend uses the Lite Line 400 on the same trips. When used correctly it really gives the temp comfort of 2 Celsius (used with Thermarest Xlite). I would maybe suggest a Lite Line for a female and a Quilt 350 for a male (if "standard"). I hope it helped.

    Do you think the bag would take well an additional 100g of down overfill? Do you think the baffles could loft up quite a bit more? I just want a -10C bag, but their teneqa line is significantly heavier, and also too wide for me (im very thin), and also the colors on the panyam are just better. Also, would you say the 5mm zipper snags less than the 3mm one? I have the 3mm one on the X-lite and its sometimes an absolute ***** lol but at the same time, over the long run, I kind of don't mind it considering it saves about 40-50g compared to standard one. (i don't need full length either).

      Hi there! These are great questions! I think you can best ask these questions to cumulus directly since we just bought the ‘standard’ bag. We did not alter anything to the bag. The cumulus team could probably help you way more specific
      However, in our opinion, these are our answers to your questions:
      There is a this section at the Cumulus website where you can customize your whole bag. And I see that you can fill your sleeping bag with extra down filling. So that’s totally possible. Our bag is super lofty, so I definitely think there can be more down filling stuffed in it.
      About the zipper: only when deen uses this sleeping bag the zipper snags haha 😂 when I (Alet) use the bag, I don’t have anyproblems with the zipper… so probably if you handle the bag with some care, you will be fine with the smaller upper.
      For the dimensions of the bag, you can customize the bags in every shape and form you want. That’s really awesome about cumulus.
      If we buy a new sleeping bag, we would change the foot box into a waterproof material.

      @@Hikaholics I ended up ordering a custom made one after all. Not cheap, but it's worth it. I get 19-20cm of loft with it, that's pretty insane. Added extra down in the footbox and went full pertex pro shell and hydrophobic down for extended trips where condensation is an issue. It's claimed -9C comfort. The loft completely destroys Sea to Summit Spark IV (which is claimed -8C comfort). Should have never ordered a bag from another company in the first place, given my experience with them, but there was a discount 😅 costly mistake

    How does the bag handle moisture from outside in damp conditions? Thinking of buying this bag but upgrade the outer fabrics to quantum pro, do you think itś necessary or is ok with the standard Pertex quantum?

    • @Hikaholics
      @Hikaholics  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question! If I would buy this sleeping bag again, I would upgrade the outer fabric to quantum pro, but only at the footbox. Since the foot box sometimes scratches the tent wall, it can get damp at that area quite easy.
      But overall I really love the sleeping bag and use it on all my colder adventures.
      Let me know which one you are going to buy!

    Great Review! For somebody with broad shoulders, who is a side sleeper and likes wiggle room, would the panyam be too tight?

    • @Hikaholics
      @Hikaholics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Think you should have enough room. These sleeping bags are designed to have room for extra layers of clothing so you should be good. I am a side sleeper myself as well. Hope this helps?
