  • This trail starts very close to Two Medicine Lake and boasts great views of the Two Medicine Valley. Depending on how much you get off trail, it is about 7.5 to 8 miles with approximately 2,300 feet of elevation gain. The trail is very easy to follow until the top. One you hit the saddle you want to go up a faint trail to the right instead of the well beaten down path to the left (or straight) along a steep ridge. Then up to scenic point - and it does not disappoint.

I’m using an older version of the Slumberjack Hone. Link below.
      slumberjack.com/hone-backpack-kryptek-highlander-camouflage/
It is versatile and can be cinched up and used for a day pack or fully extended and I’ve used it on a three day backpack trek with no issue.

I had my husband watch your video and he wanted to know how you kept your cell phone charged the whole time. I told him you probably have portable chargers with you. Would that be about right?

We almost never use our phones while hiking. No service anyway in most places we go. We use a GoPro and have extra batteries. We also bring a portable anker power charger on longer hikes or multi-day backpacking trips. Enjoy the trails!

One of early year hiking ventures for a decade or so.
Late May. Every year. Before the Sun road opens, there are some great hikes to take. This one. Apgar Lookout another. Quartz Lake another.
If snow is still presence on the trail to Scenic Point at the last saddle, simply scramble up around it.
Great hike for early season solitude.

Just when I think United States is becoming over populated, I watch your videos and find there is a lot of beautiful unused land! 😊
