    1. Expecting overnight result
    2. Stopping adapalene prematurely
    3. Not using the right amount
    4. Forgetting moisturizer
    5. Stopping adapalene when having purge

@@dhruboshahriar3959 yes it is, I got results only by two weeks
Firstly it made some redness and pealings but I think it's because I used lit bit more amount
I only using it at night
First wash face with your foaming cleanser (because you have acne) then use moisturizer
And then apply thin amount of it
Not much with near eye or mouth area but lil more in acne area
I used like he said only pear size amount
Then literary I got more effective results
I only using it only night before the bed
and during day time after using your cleanser use vitamin C and E 20% serum
It will help reduce marks and dark shades on your face
Now my face getting really healthy only using by one month
And I still using adaplene gel because he said it's okay to use it long term 😊💜💜💜💜

Adapalene and then moisturizer. So far I have enjoyed it. I'll be honest - I upgraded my entire routine at the same time I started Adapalene. So it's not possible for me to know how much of the positive benefits have been from Adapalene vs. the other serums & acids. I will continue to keep it in my routine as I continue to upgrade my products. My skin is so much better than it was before I made the changes.

I had to pen in reminders at the beginning so that I didn’t over so it but now (after 8 weeks) I’m on at least 4 times a week. It’s truly a process centred around trust when it comes to retinol. I use Tretinion gel instead. started off 3 days a week for a month, 4 days a week for following month, then slowly increasing the number of days by each month. Fast forward 5 months later, my skin is actually starting to glow. Though there are occasional mild breakout on chin, it went away in few days as opposed to weeks i used to have.
What product i use is full set of eucerin pro acne range in companion with tretinoin gel.
Morning: cleanser, toner, moisturiser, then sunscreen spf 50 for the entire face.
Night routine: Cleanser , toner, moisturiser, then T gel as final step. Sometimes i put benzyl peroxide on some inflammed acne.
Also, your diet also plays a major role in skin care.

Same, the purge is still ongoing now in my 4th month. I think now that we use facemask all day also make it worse
Update : my skin got better starting this month, it also help with acne marks and texture, acne scar that is not deep also shown improvement. don't give up if you want to use differin/adapalene. I use differin every night, except 1 night for salicylic acid. Find the right moisturizer for you and your skin won't become dry.
I will continue using differin gel consistently for now

Updates: I’ve been using it for almost 4 months and finally I can see the results! My skin now is clear (even if sometimes it breaks out), bumps are gone and the texture is super smooth, I can’t believe it because during my purging period I was pretty upset and hopeless. Obv my skin is not still perfect because I have a lot of PIH but I trust the process and I think I’m gonna start a treatment to reduce acne spots. Be patient, time and costance are the only key💪🏼🥰

I have oily/acne-prone skin and started out with mild-moderate adult acne, I occasionally got painful cystic acne as well. Luckily, I had minimal purging when I first started Differin, acne became slightly worse for a few weeks, but I saw improvements at around 6 weeks and my skin was less oily. That was 10 years ago when I was in my 20s…I’ve been using it on and off since. Nowadays I alternate it with Tretinoin 0.05% cream, and my skin looks great. I still get hormonal PMS acne around my chin, but they clear up quickly without leaving behind scars. I will never stop Differin or Tretinoin. Please stay away from the sun if you use those products, or you’ll just be making things worse! If you will be in the sun, use a good sunscreen, an oil-free, non-comedogenic one with spf30 (atleast), the sunscreen I use is also by Differin, they make a good one for oily/acne-prone skin, Cetaphil is another brand that has a good non-comedogenic sunscreen for oily/acne-prone skin.

Instead of using it for years ahead as it will cause no harm, is there a specific time or period that we need to use it after our skin has cleared up to avoid the sudden breakout again. For me it is quite expensive, if I can cut it and just stick to a super basic cleanser-moisturizer-sunscreen routine would be the best.

@@ahmet6144 Its going really good now! In the beginning I made the mistake of doing too much all at once: SPF moisturizer and benzoyl peroxide in the morning and a niacinamide moisturizer and differin at night. I basically just cut out the benzoyl and let the Differin be my only active. I also went wayyyy too hard with the Differin and I was using too much, this caused sensitivity and peeling. You really do only need a pea size for your whole face. I found that using less product and also applying my moisturizer first and then the Differin on top, really decreased the sensitivity, so definitely try that. I had a 6 week purge though, and that's what almost made me give up altogether. Since using Differin, my breakouts have decreased by 95%..not kidding. Occasionally I get 1 or 2 pimples, which is NOTHING compared to before when there was never a time I didn't have pimples on my face😫. Also, the length of time in which my "breakout" lasts has been cut in half. Lengthy response lol but I really want you to keep going because it gets so much better!

For the purging, i think it will depend per person, but for me, it was really bad, and it lasted quite some time. You would really need to mentally prepare yourself for it before starting Differin so when you purge, it's already expected. When the purging was over tho, it's really worth it. It's been 6 months since my acne subsided, and I swear I rarely have pimples now. I am still working on the scars and hyperpigmentations, but focusing on them became easier since I no longer need to worry about the acne. Oh, and I am still using Differin. I used epiduo (0.1% adapalene,2.5% BPO) and my purging last for 5 months too. I've stopped using it because the pain and itch was unbearable. After stopping it,i focused on skin barrier and its getting better. Maybe my skin is not compatible with it 🤷.
