Analog Whelen WPS-4004 Siren Test - Alert & Attack - Chesnee, SC

- I originally was going to do a drive-by recording in Spartanburg County since I've recorded a vast majority of all of their units. But I decided to stop by this supposedly "inactive" Analog 4004. This video hasn't been recorded since it failed and died in 2020 without any check-ups. After 4 years of inactivity and no updates of this siren, I can guarantee that this is the first Analog Whelen I have ever recorded come back to life.

NO WAY! This is LITERALLY the closest working analog whelen to me. Well, its about 4 hours from me. But still, probably the closet one! THATS AWESOME, that this thing works!
I could not believe they fixed this siren. Wow. I really want to go back and re-record this siren.
Hell yeah. If I ever swing by here on a first Saturday, I am definitely going to this thing
I’m coming to record this in March, I’ve always wanted to hear an analog Whelen. Great video, and congrats for confirming its status!
I wonder if I should also attempt to see if the Whelen in Cherokee Springs is still active.
I'm going to record this siren as well.
Awesome recording
Nice to see another active ESC-864 especially on a 4000 series siren
Especially one that isn't in Franklin County Ohio
The fact that they fix the siren is awesome! It sounds now as awesome as it ever did! By the way, one thing that I noticed from this video, is it a little bit lower pitch than it used to be? In the last video that I was able to see of this, it sounded like the attack signal was higher pitch.
ITS ALIIIIIVE!!!!!
I thought Spartanburg was not going to repair its sirens
