At 12:00 pm, The Cleveland County Emergency Management & Fire Department has conducted a montly test of their Outdoor Warning Siren System.
I had a tough decision to make for Cleveland County. I was going to try to record the Sentry 3V8-H, but the problem that I figured out that it was unfortunately not countywide. So I had a change of plans to rerecord the Shelby 2T22 over at the Shanghai VFD. But there was an interference with the activation tones, making this one failed (supposedly). But as I was about to leave and head on down to Spartanburg, I heard it go off which made me turn back around and record it by phone and dashcam, and oh dear it was a total wreck. But don't worry, I will come back soon to try again. This siren is located at Shanghai VFD Station 1 on 1435 Burke Rd, in Shelby, NC.

It probably failed because the beeping sound interfered with the transmission. I wouldn't doubt most of the system failed because of that.
4:02 Good night neighbors❤
I can relate to this. When I go out to railfan, sometimes when I leave the location I catch trains at, i miss them by minutes, or even seconds.
That face in the sky at the starting gave me a heart attack

Man I really need to record one of these sirens. Sad it didn't go off. Also, what is the double beeping sound?
I do not know, I was asking myself the same question as well. I thought that was the beeping of my scanner saying it needs charging.
@@NepsterWX It actually may have been the repeater beeping. A short tone was played probably every 10 or 15 seconds when the person keyed up on a radio when I was at the Elmore EMA, and right after they keyed up, I heard two beeps. So it could have been the repeater.
@@CentralVirginiaEAS That’s probably why.
Damn
