I love how Gen 5 tried to be so different from the previous gens, and it actually turned out to be really good. Everything from the story to the music. It really stands out from the other Pokemon games :)
It's a shame it was by far the most hated of the series when it released. Oh God if only past pokefans knew what garbage was coming up BW would have been praised way more
@@bobjoe3492BW was top tier people aren't satisfied when they put in quality work so they now get garbage instead BW and DP took the story to a new level with villains of complex philosophy honestly between N and Cyrus I can't tell who was the better philosopher
One tried to change the world the other tried to make a new to correct the imperfections of the old one tell me how a kids game gets that deep bro honestly even if people liked BW the new ones would still be garbage because the plot peaked you can't get more interesting than that
@@kiefgaming1701 I gotta disagree on Cyrus because he has the same level of writing as previous villains, notably gen 3. He tries to answer a problem that is in the same level of importance as Max/Arthur (you may not get it, but team Aqua/Magma replay the drying up of the Isahaya bay in Japan, and try to bring their own solution to that environmental sacrifice), but in a very ridiculous way, not only is it too extreme, but also he tries to solve a problem that doesn't exist and make him look like a hyprocrite : he wants to abolish conflict in a region with no conflict at all, and wants to remove feelings while having a crobat that evolves based on friendship.
We can miss old games all we want, I don't think there is a way the games are gonna get better. They already got worse the longer GF developped on Switch so you can have very low expectations and they'll still go beyond that.

i genuinely cant believe how old this game is already i remember when it was n ew and i thought it was the msot advanced thing ive ever seen like how beautiful it looked and the sprites it blew my mind and now we have full 3D haha
The 3d may be more technically impressive, but with gens 6, 7, and 8 out, I still think gen 5 is the most good looking overall. Those games are pixilart perfection, and the sprites have so much character and love put into them that the stoic faced 3d models just can't match, or if they can, the developers don't care enough to show that.
@@AtomBacon Yea, and even most likely, there were some graphical glitches in BW1.
The GameFreak of today would've not care, but those graphic issues were for the most patched in BW2. That shows how the devs at this time cared about their games, and really wanted theme "to be the very best".
@@abarette_ yeah. Now they just know that pokemon's gonna sell. And boy, did it (sword and shield have already sold 18.22 million copies without even being out for a year) So yeah, the attention to detail which made the ds era great may not return.. I'm looking forward to the inevitable DPPt remakes, though :,) If I remember, I'll say something about them over here or something when they come out. :)
@@ello-olle I genuinely don't care about Gen 4 remakes. I already know most of the community's gonna trash on it because of missing features of the original games (hence Poffins, Battle Frontier, Underground, Amity Square, Event legendaries, Slot/Swarms encounters) and that will trigger me.
I already don't like Diamond/Pearl and honestly think they have the potential of being the worst entry in the series, but I still hope the remake will be great so that I can finally enjoy it lol

One of my favorite song from the black and white era, and I gotta say I didn’t get to play this game when it was release, but started playing this game in 2015, and I gotta say the game was good, and you get that vibe of 2011 😊😊😊

I like how everyone points out the incredible middle part of this track (0:18 - 0:51) but nobody points out how weird (not bad mind you, I actually really like it) the track actually starts, it even feels like it belongs to an entirely different track

The more that I hear the BW OST, The more I'm sure this was the greatest OST that pokemon ever had followed by the Sun and Moon one, this sound like an Epic RPG from the Snes era.
