Speaking of Tobias, I kinda have a feeling he’s somehow related to Lucius in a way, and take this with a grain of salt, but it would be cool if we could see him reappear in Horizons since he was never fully “explained”…
Well, Leon was strong enough to weaken Eternatus enough to attempt the capture. And he actually managed to tame Eternatus in the anime.
Not to mention that he has defeated several champion level trainers.
So I think Leon could do it.

Not really. They had to put him in Magnolia's lab because it wasn't a pokemon a trainer like Goh could handle. That's why Leon had it.

Satoshi may have been the strongest for winning as a Champion.
If Lucius saves Dark Rayquaza as his last pokemon Ash may beat 3-4 pokemon of Team Lucius.
Charizard can beat Arboliva with his speed and hot breath.
Mega Lucario or Pikachu can beat Lapras by using aura powers or thunders and Sceptile's leaf blades or Ash-Greninja's water shurinkens can fight back Klevor's rock axes. However for legendaries there isn't much thing to do. Expecially Dark Rayquaza beat heroes and villians together by using 10% of its power.
Yeah, that Rayquaza is quite the beast. It would be fun to do a more detailed video on how a match might play out sometime.

If Ash's wild card Dracovish can bite Rayquaza with his strong jaws and use 4x effective ice fang... If Pikachu can send 1.000.000 thunderbold to damaged Rayquaza... Is there a hope? 🤔

Arboliva and Lapras are not the only ones that are huge. His Galarian Moltres is also stupidly huge. So we can assume the other two members we haven't seen yet will also be gigantic
The only trainer with any chance whatsoever is Cynthia, and her ONLY because Spiritomb with Destiny Bond could MAYBA take down Raquaza, who otherwise sweeps every masters 8 trainer 6-0.
Without Ray, Lucius is more manageable, but still absurdly powerful. To the point where even 3 gimmicks Ash would definitely struggle and possibly still lose a 6v5 against his team even without it, but Cynthia is at a high enough skill and power level where she could at least conceivably compete with the non-Raquaza members of his team.
As for Ash v Lucius, Ash’s only chance is if he brings in Solgaleo, and he probrably still loses to Raquaza. Box art legendaries are unstoppable in the anime- remember how a combo attack involving Pikachu and Lucario did zero damage to Lugia at the end of journeys?

I agree that Ash is overall a better trainer than Cynthia, as is Leon, but Cynthia has a better chance against Lucius’s team than those two because of destiny bond and destiny bond exclusively. Raquaza is at a level of power where nothing in any master’s 8 trainer’s arsenal could beat it outright in terms of speed or power. Destiny bond, however, bypasses this and turns the fight into a 5v5 where you don’t have to worry about a box art legendary nuking the entire continent. If, say, Ash’s Gengar knew Destiny bond, I would say Ash had the best chance of winning.

I'm going to throw my own hat into the ring with a candidate if that's okay Charles? Essentia from Pokemon XY.
Yeah Pokemon XY is really easy but Essentia's stealth suit not only had Ditto hax powers but she seemingly had the ability to buff her Pokemon to an absurd degree within seconds and in the manga she controlled Zygarde with little to no issues whatsoever. If Pokemon XY has any major sins it was not including Emma as a part of the main story or anime, she's a good character.

I think Gibeon gonna have atleast 5 other legendary pokemon that act as the sinister 6 of Lucius, my hope if it's true is:
Hisuian Zoroark, Tyrantrum(or Or Titar), Xurkitree (If no UB Darkrai or Paradox mon), Salazzle for poison type representation, Steelix or Scizor, maybe even Eelektross with no weakness
ash vs lucius would actually be an even battle if ash used the following team:
Pikachu, Mega-Lucario, Ash-Greninja, Charizard, Naganadel and Solgaleo

1:27 You could have used the shiny Entei from Pokemon the movie 13 with Zoroark to illustrate your point since it is the only real Entei we see in a Pokemon movie during the story from what I remember. In the Anime? NO ONE. Not a single trainer has ever beaten a high-tier Legendary. You saw how they all got cooked against Dialga and Palkia in Journeys. And prior to that, Leon (the strongest man alive) got deep-sixed by base form Eternatus.
