Actually in the manga they explain the fused Dialga and Palkia. When they were fighting Dialga and Palkia at the top of Mount Coronet, space and time were warping in a way that made the two look like one Pokemon. They determined that the people who built the statue in Eterna city must've seen them when space and time were bending around them.
This can be further expanded on by the fact that the Origin Formes of Dialga and Palkia are meant to be combined with Giratina to form the image of Arceus,
I believe that the creatures that appear as statues aren't actual Pokémon but more akin to gargoyles in our world, mythological creatures born purely from imagination, and not based of of any real observations. In any case, really interesting video, as always!

Crystal Onix from the anime definitely needs to be added into the games, and possibly be given an evolutionary stage. On the flip side, there are many large Pokémon that need to get a baby form/pre-evolution.
Yeah, love to see Crystal Onix be officially in the game and it evolve isn't a Crystal Steelix, also imagine what the shiny form looks like too, also don't forget the Pink Butterfree and all the Clone Pokémons too, there's a lot of anime exclusive versions of Pokémon that need to be in the game, also I do love to see other Pokémon get baby pre-evo form like a baby pre-evo form of Scyther, a Baby bug Pokémon that's a pre-evo for both Herracross and Pincir, baby pre-evo form for Tangella, baby pre-evo form for Doduo and so on, also evolution for other Pokémon too like an Evolution for Jynx, evolution for Tauros and so on, also regional forms (Regional form for Ducklett and Swanna with one being a black Swan variant, regional form for the Seel line giving a Ground/Water or Rock/Water typing, etc.) and regional evolutions (Regional form and Evolution for the Pawniard line that is a Steel/Fighting type) for existing Pokémon too, or maybe to a regional pre-evolution for some of the existing Pokémon as a twist, also more Convergent forms (Convergent form of Sandyghast with either a Rock/Ghost or Snow/Ghost typing, and for other Pokémon too) and Paradox forms of existing Pokémon too (Future Paradox for Kangskhan, Past/Future Paradox for Dodrio, Past/Future Paradox for Metagross, etc.), just some ideas tbh
I know this wasn’t in the video but what about the true dragon aka the complete reshiram, zekrom, and kyurem fusion that is largely hinted at in the gen 5 games? With this, I would say that we need a legends unova game
Some of the Pokémon in this video makes me think back to that image I saw with the newborn Vulpix having only one white tail. Maybe the baby forms of Kangaskhan and Celesteela are simply how the look while they’re young while the infant Rabsca has is more of an embryo
I agree, also those baby Nidorans in one piece of art, though I interpret the Arabs a infant as sorta a combination of the concept of an embryo like humans and a lot of animals have and the concept of beetle larvae as well, since that would make sense and it does kinda look larvae-y to me.
I think the baby Celesteela and Kangaskhan are still the same Pokemon, and they just slowly change as they age instead of evolving like most Pokemon do. Shellder's evo is definitely it's own Pokemon, though. It'd be cool to see a regional Shellder with a new evo based on it or something.
Gamefreak has already said that Slowpoke aren't really hurt by losing their tail and they grow back quickly if lost. With all the regional and alternate form Pokemon at this point, there isn't any reason not to add Taaban at this point. I've wanted this since 1997.
Because he's not a pokemon. It's a shell that's being control by the slows psychic abilities. How else could slowking see? What's the point of using new shelders eyes as slow kings eyes if shelder is still alive and is a new pokemon? Literally, watch pokemon 2000, slowkings eyes move as he talks and moves, not as an independent pokemon. If your evidence of this theory is the one filler episode of an evolution that last like 20 seconds then you need to go back to the drawing board
I'm pretty sure that the Eterna City statue is supposed to be a representation of "Almighty Sinnoh" from PLA before the two tribes find out that it's actually two separate beings - Dialga and Palkia. It's a nice easter egg if you think about it.
8:52 "As far as the in-universe lore is concerned, this thing is in the pokemon world so it must depict a pokemon of some kind" Says who? If we accept that animals do not exist in their world it still doesn't mean that statues MUST be of something that exists. We have gargoyles and grotesques, but there isn't winged fanged demidemons running around. Are little kids only allowed to draw pokemon with their crayons, too?
8:11 while it could be its own pokemon, it could also be a mythological creature that we know isn't real in the pokemon universere(ex: in our world we have phoneixs which we know aren't real but people still have paintings drawings snd statues of it)
I think the gym statue is generic enough to be an artist creation within the world of Pokémon just as artist in real life may make art of myths or legends. There are many Pokémon with the body type of the gym statues, especially in Kanto. The head is very plain like a blank slate. It has wings with 4 other limbs, just like the many reptilian hexapods in Pokémon.
I also commented something like this, I do believe that it's like a mythical creature that we know dosen't exist but there is still art work and statues of it(ex: phoenixes)
I love that celesteela pre-evo. The tale of princess kaguya is one i love very much and even though i already knew it was a reference, that just makes it even better.
11:00 buddy, did you forget that the statue was originally built in Hisui? It's ambiguous because people didn't know which pokemon was the creator of Sinnoh. That's why it also has tiny properties of Arceus in it.
I’m honestly extremely surprised that none of the Orange Archipelago variants have ever been used in the games from the anime. Crystal Onix forever lives on in my heart.
I have a counter-argument to those pokemon statues: Real life statues of mythical beings. Nothing on earth resembles an eastern dragon, or a gargoyle. Same thing is definitely what's going on. A not-real creature that have statues made to look like them.
The form inside Rabsca could also be its true body, as the opposite game's dex entry suggests that its not actually an infant, but could be its main body.
We have gargoyle statues in real life, yet they don't depict a real creature that ever lived. I'd say the same of the gym statues. The same could be said of the Dialga/Palkia statue. They're legends, so it's very believable that the statue's sculptor had never seen them and only had descriptions passed down over many generations to go on for how it should look. On the other hand, it would have been so cool if you could take Dialga and Palkia to Unova and use the DNA Splicers on them to get the Pokemon in the statue.
So…what if the “distant past” is just the Kalos war that led AZ to create the Ultimate Weapon and the paradox Pokémon are just regular Pokémon that got infused with infinity energy from the timeline split? Would that imply another war in the future that would end up creating another paradox timeline split? Either way, “Eternal Flower” sounds like a good name for a paradox Floette 😊
Pokémon Fans: "The people in the Pokémon universe are incapable of creativity. Any statue in the Pokémon world is based 100% on an existing Pokémon they've seen with their own eyes. Stylization or making up a creature are impossible."
I like this fused statue, since it ties with how the Almighty Sinnoh was reffered back in PLA. It had both kind of depictions, being either Palkia or Dialga, and the fused statue really helps selling this idea.
"This is the pokemon world so the statues have to be pokemon" why? We live in the real world where pokemon don't exist, yet we have plenty of pokemon representations. These could be just art lol
The big irony of Shellder's unofficial evolution is that the games have consistently ignored that piece of implied symbiosis prominently featured in the anime, to the point of the Cloyster and Slowbro lines being version-exclusives in the FireRed and LeafGreen remakes, respectively.
So with that first one, if I've caught a Rabsca, haven't I caught it, too? Edit: Same for the second one, too... Edit again: Wow, and the third. Edit one last time: In the case of the statues...no they don't? The Pokemon world would still have its own myths that aren't real creatures. Or just inaccurate depictions of real Pokemon. Or, like, actual animals.
I am kind of surprised original kyurem from black/white 2 was not mentioned as it was mentioned that kyurem is the original body but it basically got split and made 2 more bodies reshiram and zekrom and in black/white 2 you can only fuse 1 of the 2 to kyurem. This makes me wonder how does it originally look and how powerful would it be if in its original form as zekrom and reshiram are legendaries.
I would like to believe shelters evo was going to become its own pokemon, but pokemon researchers realized that after cutting off a slowbros tail to try to seperate shelder only kills it. Also I love the gargoyle statue. It only started as the same icon as the pokemon in red, blue ,yellow but it would be neat to be a new pokemon
i think the statue of dialga palkia is due to the mythical nature of them. the people heard stories of them and probably assumed it was one godlike pokemon instead of two
Sorry, but the statue one is just so flawed. Why? Because we literally have statues of creatures that don’t exist IRL so there’s no reason that the humans in the Pokémon universe don’t do the same thing. “They don’t look like any individual Pokémon,” well most mythical creatures are mishmashes and the results of poorly described encounters with real animals, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case here. The gym statues in BDSP could simply be an artistic interpretation of a vague Dragonite and/or Charizard description. Reptilian like, horns on its head, wings and stands upright. That’s super vague. I’m willing to be that if you asked someone who didn’t know any Pokémon to draw one based on such a vague description, then you would get some designs that look nothing like any of the known Pokémon. They are just mythical animals, like Dragons and Griffins IRL. The Dialga and Palkia statue does have an explanation if you think about it. Remember how in Legends the clans argued over which of their gods was the real almighty Sinnoh? It turned out they mistook two different Pokémon for Arceus and that there really was only one Sinnoh. Time passes, events fade into legend and some artist comes along, hears bits and pieces and makes the statue based on what they understood. I actually think someone in the games mentions it as being an artist’s interpretation of a legendary Pokémon, but I will have to replay and talk to a lot of people just to make sure. Point is that the statue arguments are…a bit flawed. That’s it though. Everything else is spot on. Still waiting for that Wailord variant that we saw in The Electric Tale of Pikachu manga when Ash went to Cerulean Gym. No, seriously. There’s a whale with a Blue Whale body and everything else matches Wailord swimming in a tank in the background of one of the panels. Considering how obscure some of the older mangas are, they could easily just rip and tweak the original ones from there for a game and call it a day if they ever wanted to. I actually wonder how many of those are based on scrapped Pokémon, if any at all.
What I love most about the Baby Celesteela design is that it plays further into referencing who Celesteela is based off of, Princess Kaguya from The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. With the princess being found within a bamboo stalk.
Ive been wanting a Gargoyle pokemon based of the Gen 1 and 2 statues since Gen2, its such an interesting concept to consider what typing they would be. Rock is an obvious choice for a Gargoyle pokemon, but what would its secondary typing be? Flying because many Gargoyles are depicted with wings? Dark because of their terrifying appearance? Fairy for their supernatural nature? or Water because many Gargoyles function as archaic water drainage, their name is even derived from a word meaning Gargle. Hell, they could even be Rock/Dragon, or at least a final evolution could be that
They could be the first Ghost/Rock mon, like a ghost taking over a statue like Rotom takes over electric motors within the appliances. Names could be Ghostoyle or Garghost for the pre-evolved form and Garghostoyle for the final form. Pokémon Uranium (the fangame) had a fakemon inspired by a gargoyle and it was a mono-Rock type. Forgot it’s name though😅
Play the fan game. Pokémon infinity they turn the gargoyle statue into an actual. Pokémon the way you get it is really cool you have to go to this museum and take this egg that’s sitting on the statue.
In a way, AZ's Floette is the first "Partner" variant like Pikachu and Eevee. It has higher base stats, a unique appearance, a unique move, and can't evolve. I'd love to see more done with the concept
@GlitchMonRBY in the gen 1 art of the old amber there is a mosquito. You are not reviving Aerodactyl from bones like the others. Instead you are reviving Aerodactyl from preserved blood DNA still Inside the mosquito.
"In BDSP, theres this statues..." Excuse me? Those statues have been in the game since fucking Gen 1, and theyre almost a pokemon characteristic, they depict the overworld sprite of Rhydon from RGB, and they have been in most of the gyms through the games
As much as I enjoy all of your content, Hoops, I have to admit that I'm excited to see a new video that's not based around designing/creating new Pokémon 😅
The Shellder is not an evolution, though, just a form change. The pokédex explicitly calls it a Shellder, and I believe there are entries that say it turns back to its original form if detached from Slowbro’s tail.
Technically it is a separate evolution since the later dex entries says that the evolved slowpoke can revert back should it loses the attached pokemon, however as seen in a journeys anime episode this pokemon keeps its “evolution.” Even a mega slowbro entry says that this pokemon takes up all the mega energy, so technically slowpoke doesn’t (mega) evolve at all. The only reason it’s not a separate Pokémon otherwise would be that it relies on nutrients from a slowpoke so it’s never too far off from one if detached from the same one every time. Edit: Who came up with an idea that Pokemon, if not any real life animals, can get stronger by catching a parasite anyways?
@@tlst94 I can buy that, they could even take an extra step by having the baby Kangaskhan evolve into Cubone by giving it a rare bone and not having a Kangaskhan in your party.
Looks like you may have been off by 10 years... legends ZA might be our chance to obtain eternal floette. Perhaps explaining its disappearance as being due to time traveling player shenanigans XD
It would be cool if those become available. On top of my head, their names would be: Vaelar - larvae backwards Kangaskid - kangaskhan + kid Recoyster - reconnoiter + oyster Gargonage - gargoyle + gone + mirage
I'm not 100% here, but I'm fairly certain those BDSP gym statues are supposed to be An SD(Super Deformed) version of Charizard. Dragon-like body? Check. Horns at back of head? Check, though a bit off-center. Wings? Check. Looks like Charizard to me.
@@cyndaquil1433 back then charizard wasn't that favouritised though And dragonite being the strong rare pokemon could fit a bit better I think Also chibirised of course And bigger wings In hour World also are statues and stuff that wrongly depict real animals Charizard would fit the mean look though But maybe the people who created the statues thought dragonite also was such a mean and dangerous pokemon
the statue pokemon have always been depicting the OG pokemon sprites in RBYG versions. you either had a bug sprite, statute pokemon sprite, fish sprite, magikarp sprite, pikachu sprite, plant sprite, its not a specific pokemon.
Looking at all of these, I feel like lately, GameFreak is telling us to chill out and see that not every hint is a conspiracy. What I mean is that the fused legends from Area Zero are just the imagination of some dude just like the statues in Galar that depicted the "hero" which once again was a myth that was deformed from reality.
How about Venustoise from the anime? TECHNICALLY not a real Pokemon, as it's something that strange talking Gastly dreamed up as something akin to an illusion, but still really cool.
Regarding the fused statue in Eternia city, in the Pokemon special DPPT manga where Dialaga & Palkia are fighting on mt Coronet, Diamond/Pearl notice that the distortions in time and space created by their fighting warps their perspective of the two Pokemon as a single Pokemon, which the people of Sinnoh in the past may have mistaken as 1 Pokemon opposed to the two box art mons. This is the only instance I have heard anyone try to explain the statue, and thought it was pretty interesting
The anime is a separate universe from the games and also just cause you can’t catch it doesn’t mean it’s “unofficial” if it’s in the game it’s officially made by game freak since you can’t catch it that means it’s unattainable.
"Rellor" is "roller" backwards, and "Rabsca" is an anagram of "scarab", so following those conventions I'd go for something like "Eavlar" or "Burg" instead. Makes the whole line feel more unified and thematic.
It is probably a stretch, but could it be that the paradox beast and sword of justice in the book is foreshadowing the next mechanic/gimmick for the next gen? Like a Pokemon fusion. I mean gamefreak like to include some hint on the next gen in the current game.
I doubt it. Adding fusion to the games would be opening a can of worms because they would need to create a fusion for every combination possible and that is simply something no realistically possible to do.
@@toumabyakuya I could see them making fusion possible with a larger, but still limited number of Pokémon combinations. I mean, the Mega Evolution gimmick in X and Y only worked with 46 Pokémon.
@@User36578a The difference is that Megas only affect one Pokemon meanwhile fusion combines 2, so more people would want to see what their favorite Pokemon can fuse into.
Great video! I love how you explore the hidden and elusive Pokémon in the games. It's fascinating to see unofficial yet canonical Pokémon like the Relor pre-evolution and the baby Kangaskhan. The statue Pokémon and the Celestila pre-evolution are also intriguing concepts. Keep up the great work and can't wait for your next video!
I think that the fusions for the Legendary Beasts and Swords of Justice are still just imagined Pokemon, Iron Leaves and Waking Wake are the actual Pokemon here. I'm not disqualifying the option to be wrong, but I highly doubt it. I don't think that these are Pokemon that technically exist but we just can't catch them at all. Awesome video once again dude.
In the book it explicitly states that the artist who had been drawing the things theyd seen decided to do a brainstorm on what possible other paradoxes could look like, clearly inspired by the beasts and swords. They were never intended to be seen as real pokemon, and the artist didn’t imagine them into existence (like some seem to think), it just so happens they coincidentally drew combos of three pokemon that actually had paradox forms. Aka it was a tease from game freak
@@koolkraken912 Except that by "imagined" it doesn't mean that they are imagined into actual existence, it's just imagined in the mind of the artist, as if brainstorm, like you said by yourself.
@@RoyArkon oh yeah no I completely agree, there’s just a large part of the theory community that thinks because the artist imagined that one combo pokemon, they must have also imagined all of the others and the time machine just made them real. Its an argument that really makes zero sense
The eternal flower Floette might make an appearance in Legends Z-A due to being in Kalos and what appears to be the making of Lumiose City as well as the future version. Just my thought, no rumors. I don't want to have high expectations but I can't lie, I'm excited for Legends Z-A. But I'm sure GF will drop the ball. Just a shot in the dark, but Mega Florges would be cool. More than likely, there'll be a regional starter with a Mega. But like in Galar, the original starters didn't have a G-Max form upon release until later.
For the baby kangaskahn I think it would be really cool if we got it as it’s own Pokémon along side a regional variant of regular kangaskhan that are more distant and less protective of their young and thus are two separate catchable Pokémon they don’t even need to have the “baby” evolve or they could turn it more teen like. There are a lot of possibilities for this scenario. Just a thought
Rellor's infant isn't a different Pokémon, it's a fetus, or larvae, it's still, biologically the same it's just a pre-gestation version. A more interesting thing about Rellor and Rabsca is that they can breed but it doesn't make sense that they can.
There was another in season 1. There was an episode with a talking ghastly that kept messing with people via illusions. I think that was the episode with the venasuar/blastiose fusion
@@linkster362 That doesn’t count. The Gastly was talking telepathically just like any legendary Pokémon. TR Meowth and Slowking use vocal cords to talk not telepathy
Fun fact: The spiral slowpoke pokemon thing actually has an unused sprite in gen 1 and it wasn't tied to shellder at all. it's called Taabaan, and the original translator if it were in the game, would have called it Pinturban
also fun fact. The statues actually are taken from another unused pokemon design from gen 1, that was repurposed into the 'beastly' sprite on the pokemon screen. The wings were just there because ilca likely didn't have access to the actual concept art from that stage
Actually, according to some theories (th-cam.com/video/ooeEuRSohJE/w-d-xo.html) Eternal Flower Floette was deleted because in the original plan presumably his "flower" would have actually been AZ's mass destruction weapon. That story was scrapped, and as a result the pokemon was too.
There is also the original dragon from Unova that separated in Zekrom, Reshiram and Kyurem. We can fuse one of them with Kyurem but not all three together as they use to be in the legend.
Why wasn't there a gargoyle Pokémon in the region based on France? It would have had a unique mechanic where it was a Rock-type a night on the in game clock and Dark-type or Dragon-type during day time. I imagine the offense and defense swap between forms like Giratina does.
Guardgoyle Dragon/Rock - Day Form (Stone Form) Possible Abilities: Guard Dog / Intimidate / Storm Drain / Solid Rock Dragon/Dark or Flying - Night Form Possible Abilities: Cursed Body / Forewarn / Intimidate / Levitate / Unnerve *This disturbing stone monster has a bad reputation. It likes nothing better than guarding old buildings and protecting the dwellers inside.* *Often mistaken for a devil while flying at night, this imp-like pokemon is actually looking for people to help.*
2 or 3 stages would be nice since it would give a variety of Guardgoyles in an area. Quite a wide variety of moves to. Flamethrower Fly Rain Dance Rest Rock Slide Rock Tomb Roost Scary Face Sky Drop Soak Water Spout

An episode of Master Quest shows the Kangaskahn baby outside of the pouch, during which its just referred to as a Kangaskahn.
Should have mentioned the substitute doll, especially because like the gym statues, we don’t see an actual Pokémon that resembles it in the games
Except they became Clefairy, but Yea, it's just a stand in for generic Japanese monster plush
Gyaon
Yeah, there was even an official Pokemon Center plush release for the substitute.
Honestly shiny sandshrew looks a whole lot like a substitute doll.
I always thought it was loosely based on Tyranitar
"Hey dude what's your favorite Pokemon?" "the unnamed larva form of rellor bro"
8:16 my head cannon is they’re paying tribute to scrapped Pokémon. Many of which we’ll never know about
I think the baby Celesteela and Kangaskhan are still the same Pokemon, and they just slowly change as they age instead of evolving like most Pokemon do. Shellder's evo is definitely it's own Pokemon, though. It'd be cool to see a regional Shellder with a new evo based on it or something.
I think the same about rabsca's infant thing tbh
Gamefreak has already said that Slowpoke aren't really hurt by losing their tail and they grow back quickly if lost. With all the regional and alternate form Pokemon at this point, there isn't any reason not to add Taaban at this point. I've wanted this since 1997.
It's further backed up by the fact the Slowpoke line's Hidden Ability is Regenerator.
8:52 "As far as the in-universe lore is concerned, this thing is in the pokemon world so it must depict a pokemon of some kind"
Says who? If we accept that animals do not exist in their world it still doesn't mean that statues MUST be of something that exists. We have gargoyles and grotesques, but there isn't winged fanged demidemons running around. Are little kids only allowed to draw pokemon with their crayons, too?
8:11 while it could be its own pokemon, it could also be a mythological creature that we know isn't real in the pokemon universere(ex: in our world we have phoneixs which we know aren't real but people still have paintings drawings snd statues of it)
Gen 1 modern remake with the other gen1 pokes cut. I'd be all in
I do think the gym statues are heavily stylised Charizards though, at least the ones in BDSP
No they're all based on rydon because rydon was the first pokemon ever made. It's well known
Or maybe Dragonite
bro its deeefinitely Pikachu, source:trust
I thought it was Cubone with wings
They are Digimon.
To be fair, we have actual gargoyle statues everywhere, and they aren't....or at least no longer exist either.
Aren’t the gym statues the generic gen 1 monster sprites?
@@OfficialRyanxyes. I came to comment this. The original statues were just mimics of the humanoid category of sprites from your party.
Pink butterfree too
I have a counter-argument to those pokemon statues: Real life statues of mythical beings. Nothing on earth resembles an eastern dragon, or a gargoyle. Same thing is definitely what's going on. A not-real creature that have statues made to look like them.
DUDE a gargoyle pokemon would be dope.
The form inside Rabsca could also be its true body, as the opposite game's dex entry suggests that its not actually an infant, but could be its main body.
I'm still waiting for crystal Onix to be catchable. Come on guys, you already released regional variants, give me my Crystal Onix!
The statues being cat-like could be an artists rendition of mew
We have gargoyle statues in real life, yet they don't depict a real creature that ever lived. I'd say the same of the gym statues.
The same could be said of the Dialga/Palkia statue. They're legends, so it's very believable that the statue's sculptor had never seen them and only had descriptions passed down over many generations to go on for how it should look.
On the other hand, it would have been so cool if you could take Dialga and Palkia to Unova and use the DNA Splicers on them to get the Pokemon in the statue.
6:33 I still love the Paradox Virizion so much better than the Iron Leaves we got. Walking Wake is a win for me though
Also floet is kinda like a paradox Pokémon since it has a different name and it’s a middle evo.
@@bigsmoke44gaming44 good theory, it’s the little things that make you remember that Pokémon has lore to it.
The kangaskhan slot shoulda been swapped with the pokestar studio pokemon
The statue argument is like saying "oh wow, we have gargoyle statues irl so gargoyles must be a real thing irl
I've always known about the shellder Evo, but the regional variant aspect never crossed my mind!! That's so wild. Love it.
The original statue of Palkia and Dialga isn't even a fusion, it's just ambiguous without being colored on
I am kind of surprised original kyurem from black/white 2 was not mentioned as it was mentioned that kyurem is the original body but it basically got split and made 2 more bodies reshiram and zekrom and in black/white 2 you can only fuse 1 of the 2 to kyurem. This makes me wonder how does it originally look and how powerful would it be if in its original form as zekrom and reshiram are legendaries.
Considering how powerful Kyurem Black and Kyurem White are, it's probably crazy strong.
10:12 its not fused, its an Optical illusion because gamefreak did not wanna make two separate statues which would end up looking the same anyways
The gym statue Pokemon looks vaguely like a chibified fusion of Blastoise, Venusaur, and Charizard.
What I love most about the Baby Celesteela design is that it plays further into referencing who Celesteela is based off of, Princess Kaguya from The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. With the princess being found within a bamboo stalk.
I'm naming the baby celesteela kagusteele(kag-oo-steel)
I long await the day game freak finally gives us baby Kangaskhan
Old amber mosquito.
Zygarde cell.
What the hell is the mosquito- hell it’s probably one of the glitch pokemon
@GlitchMonRBY in the gen 1 art of the old amber there is a mosquito. You are not reviving Aerodactyl from bones like the others. Instead you are reviving Aerodactyl from preserved blood DNA still Inside the mosquito.
@@murasakibebeby3127it's not a mosquito, it's what's left of the Pokemon
my theory is that the gym statues are supposed to resemble the concept of a pokemon instead of actually being one
Fun fact: shelders evo was going to be named turban
"In BDSP, theres this statues..."
Excuse me? Those statues have been in the game since fucking Gen 1, and theyre almost a pokemon characteristic, they depict the overworld sprite of Rhydon from RGB, and they have been in most of the gyms through the games
As much as I enjoy all of your content, Hoops, I have to admit that I'm excited to see a new video that's not based around designing/creating new Pokémon 😅
That's just the vertical view of Palkia, and the gym statue is just probably a charizard of sorts.
@@hipokeme Spider-Man's Venom.
Proposition:
Rellor's prevolution should be named Avral, based on the naming themes of the rest of the line
On this topic, I said it before, but they need to give us a baby Kangaskhan.
@@tlst94 I can buy that, they could even take an extra step by having the baby Kangaskhan evolve into Cubone by giving it a rare bone and not having a Kangaskhan in your party.
@@tlst94ok that’s a cool ass name.
So Rabsca is a parent, aw that's kinda cute, so that's make us the grandparents of the baby pokemon 😂
I definitely wish we could catch eternal Floette
Looks like you may have been off by 10 years... legends ZA might be our chance to obtain eternal floette. Perhaps explaining its disappearance as being due to time traveling player shenanigans XD
It would be cool if those become available. On top of my head, their names would be:
Vaelar - larvae backwards
Kangaskid - kangaskhan + kid
Recoyster - reconnoiter + oyster
Gargonage - gargoyle + gone + mirage
Larvae backwards is Eavral
@@axelpyre9477 Went with what they did to rabsca instead of baracs.
2:50 I think would be cooler if in pkm go you needeed have an shelder and a slowpoke together so it could evolve
@@tlst94 It would be sick!!
The statues are Gen1menu sprites that they kept stylistic for following generations.
That statue could just be a made up monster. In our world there also are statues and stuff of animals that dont exist. Could be inspired by dragonite
I think it’s just a charizard that was shrunken and chibi’d to the point that it could fit in a gym field without taking to much room
@@cyndaquil1433 back then charizard wasn't that favouritised though
And dragonite being the strong rare pokemon could fit a bit better I think
Also chibirised of course
And bigger wings
In hour World also are statues and stuff that wrongly depict real animals
Charizard would fit the mean look though
But maybe the people who created the statues thought dragonite also was such a mean and dangerous pokemon
@@AshcatNicole yea there has been artists who have shrunk a work down to fit a building so it could be on of them
the statue pokemon have always been depicting the OG pokemon sprites in RBYG versions. you either had a bug sprite, statute pokemon sprite, fish sprite, magikarp sprite, pikachu sprite, plant sprite, its not a specific pokemon.
The Rabsca case is really interesting. Also, I think we need some type of consolation for what could've been Pokemon Z in the future.
we arent going to talk about how this guy is a slowpoke connoisseur?
I took it as interpretations of what people thought the legends looked liked
The anime is a separate universe from the games and also just cause you can’t catch it doesn’t mean it’s “unofficial” if it’s in the game it’s officially made by game freak since you can’t catch it that means it’s unattainable.
Here’s an awesome name for Rellor’s pre evolution. How about Larvring(a combination of Larva and spring)
The Palkia and Dialga statue is supposed to be an optical illusion not a fusion.
Rellor's infant isn't a different Pokémon, it's a fetus, or larvae, it's still, biologically the same it's just a pre-gestation version.
A more interesting thing about Rellor and Rabsca is that they can breed but it doesn't make sense that they can.
Here’s a fact: Slowking is the only Pokémon other than Team Rocket’s Meowth to have human-like speech capabilities in the anime
Wish we could of caught The Ghost of Cubone's Mother: Marowak that is given a Ground/Ghost type in Gen 1. That would of been sick and strong.
Great video. I'm super happy this was more in depth than "here's X mythical that is unavailable.."
Good job.
For the statues/art, it’s possible the sculptors/artists in lore made up their own Pokémon to be symbolic of something or simply for fun.
we, in the real world, have a lot of statues depicting fantastic creatures, dragons and unicorns, why would be different in Pokemon universe?
There is also the original dragon from Unova that separated in Zekrom, Reshiram and Kyurem. We can fuse one of them with Kyurem but not all three together as they use to be in the legend.
Why wasn't there a gargoyle Pokémon in the region based on France?
It would have had a unique mechanic where it was a Rock-type a night on the in game clock and Dark-type or Dragon-type during day time. I imagine the offense and defense swap between forms like Giratina does.
Guardgoyle
Dragon/Rock - Day Form (Stone Form)
Possible Abilities: Guard Dog / Intimidate / Storm Drain / Solid Rock
Dragon/Dark or Flying - Night Form
Possible Abilities: Cursed Body / Forewarn / Intimidate / Levitate / Unnerve
*This disturbing stone monster has a bad reputation. It likes nothing better than guarding old buildings and protecting the dwellers inside.*
*Often mistaken for a devil while flying at night, this imp-like pokemon is actually looking for people to help.*
2 or 3 stages would be nice since it would give a variety of Guardgoyles in an area. Quite a wide variety of moves to.
Flamethrower
Fly
Rain Dance
Rest
Rock Slide
Rock Tomb
Roost
Scary Face
Sky Drop
Soak
Water Spout
Baby Celesteela is a reference to its origins as Princess Kaguya. A bamboo cutter found an infant girl while in the mountains
Shellder’s other evolution is called Shellp. I’ve decided, you can’t stop me.
Another Pokémon you can’t catch is those two little pink and blue magnimits surround the electric gym leaders head in Pokémon scarlet and violet
you also cant catch the black nihilego even tho it doesnt appear in the game it still appears in the anime and it also have lilys mother inside so it makes it impossible to catch
You forgot the fusion of the 2 dragons from black and white.
