Молодец Александр, что освещаете иностранцев, привет из Казакстана 🙌
Yo Alex, can do throat sing like this? I wanna see it.
We have Inuit throat singing here too. They live up in the Arctic region above North America on Baffin Island, they are called the Nunavut people. Also the Alaskan Eskimo have something similar to this kind of throat singing.
I would like to learn based on my own feelings for what I have heard from different artists. It makes pop music seem boring.
Listening to her,. I'm trying to imagine setting at a camp fire late at night, and all of a sudden, you hear this echoing through the forest. Strange, interesting, weird, but still pretty in its' own way. Fantastic throat and voice control.
@Cheri Merchant 😂 You wouldn't at least stick around long enough to see what it was?🤔
@Cheri Merchant Bigfoot lives!!! No-seriously! I've seen it; him/her, well, it could have been. Running really fast holding its' ears. !🤣
@Cheri Merchant 🤣😂🤣
You wouldn't know if it's a bear, a mountain lion, a big foot in labor, a beached whale...
What... I’m about to have heart attack
They probably would’ve sent her home on American idol. This audience is so respectful
Cultured* I’d say.
3:23 oh my goodddd
I still remember at one point when I was watching the show there was a fellow who came in singing opera and they told him “this isn’t the competition for you”
I was so sad for the guy bc he was the most talented guy there
She wouldn’t audition for American idol lol this isn’t traditional western singing 😅 she would however move on as a finalist on Americans got talent ….
!!!!!!!!
notice how more respectful this audience was than in the UK when a guy did throat singing.
I was thinking the same!!
Because she capitalized off his idea and sounds terrible.
Misty Mockingbird throat singing is Inuit culture
Ст тС Going onto a show to throat sing. Someone did that already. And they were successful. Inuit culture aside. She is capitalizing off of another MANS idea.
Not to mention the fact that she is conventionally attractive, henc everyone being nicer and open-minded than the dude who did it. Vag pass wins again! Lol.
She takes us 10.000 years back in time. AMAZING
How do you know?
@@Artchick1972 Your mom
@@Artchick1972 He's right
She’s actually doing this here, now, today. This culture is contemporary to Western culture, it’s not a relic.
Powerful, chant of the forest, very deep, very ancient form of art. The spirit of the wilderness of Siberian. Ancestral chanting. Its for the humble to appreciate and not to put her down, this is real art.
it's a shame the Inuit don't live in Siberia at all, but rather, in Northern Canada.
@@ASpectrethatishauntingEurope Actually, the Inuit people do not only live in Canada but also in Alaska as well as Greenland too. However, you also have in Siberia the Yupik Eskimo people (Yuit), who reside along the coast of the Chukchi Peninsula in the far northeast region of the Russian Federation and on St. Lawrence Island in Alaska. Their language is Central Siberian Yupik (Yuit), a Yupik language of the Eskimo-Aleut family of languages.

Omg I love the voice control, and the way she mixes her culture with entertainment, and showing her culture through the performance is something we need to see more normalized
She has massive control of her voice. Such a range of sounds!
It’s hard to believe she can make all of those sounds. Amazing. She is very talented because I imagine this would be very difficult.
If you don't learn how to properly do throat singing or overtone singing, it could damage your vocal chords. That's why you need to be dedicated to it because it takes a lot of time, practice, and training.
It's almost other worldly --- Completely mesmerizing and impossible to not feel as if you're in the presence of some ancient and mystical priestess calling up the forces of nature. Stunning and beautiful.
What I find most beautiful about this practice is that it has the power to enkindle something divine in everyone who hears it. They may not realize it, but their soul does. I hope everyone on earth experiences the bliss & innate knowing of kundalini flow; the essence of creation within us all🧿 Sat Nam❤

This actually made me cry. I felt a whole story in that song.
Lol gay she was just making guttural noises.

This made me cry too! I thought something's wrong with me. It's beautiful and emotional. It's like you are being one with the nature.
There was a story?
At first I wasn't sure of what was happening..but then wow.. this is so hauntingly beautiful.
Dawa Bhutia I don’t even know how I got here but I’m surprised I actually like this
@@viviantapia27 exactly! I mean I was listening to some other deep throat singing, and this shows up as a suggestion. I'm so glad I opened it.
I would nertz the beautiful part of that statement. The part where she sounds like she's trying to hock up a goober is anything but beautiful. She's pretty, though. Can't help but wonder what her date would think if she yowled that up in the middle of....
@@howlongohlord8358 haha.. quite the imagination😅 well bruv..I still think it was beautiful, "hauntingly" beautiful..
@@howlongohlord8358 That's some funny shit! I would lose my Woody and run like hell. If I ever saw her name on caller ID I would hide under the bed in the fetal position.
This hit something, I'm not even sure what. Made my eyes water and got a full tear down my cheek. Art is subjective ofc, and there's no one on this planet who's sane and would say this could ever have mass public appeal, but her passion to give it her all and bring this to people and do it such justice is moving. Language is just a universally accepted way for humans to express feelings, thoughts, and emotions. This is that, it's the same, it's just raw, and unrefined. I think it's a powerful display.
I love how all the comments make jokes about her singing and then make sure they also comment their respects too lol
Lmao😂
they add in their respects because they think she's going to cast some kind of Inuit shaman spell on them.
major respect to her though. Her talent is amazing.
I sometimes tell people fuck them to their faces but then turnaround and say i love them right after.
I don't love it
Sound like a demon coming out the body like Aliens...

I'm not sure why but it made me feel really emotional too. I wonder if it taps into something very ancient and primal for us.

I absolutely love you Inuks. I spent time in Iqaluit in 2012 and I've never felt more at home than they made me feel. And listening to the history, the beliefs, the Elders and what they had to go through. How I miss it

So it's not just me, you got that sensation too... What is that?

Having to listen to that I would rather go hunting in a snowstorm.
Well this is the singing women would do together while the men hunted
A Toyota tundra.
Such an incredible performance and the style is most remarkable. There should be a whole genre of music based on this music. The emotions conveyed through this performance have made me want to watch it again and again. It feels so real and comforting in that way.
I definitely want to hear more, and it would actually be neat to meet the artist and to hear her story. I want to know why and how she could create such an incredible performance. I must have listened to it over 50 times now . So beautiful! 💕
It’s called Inuit throat singing. Might I suggest Tanya Tagaq. She’s incredible
A duel between Her and Bjørk would be amazing.
Bjork had a throat singer on her Medulla album.

This the sound That clears out all of your negativity and negative thoughts it may sound scary or weird but you just have to think about these vibrations running through you can really get those stuck negative emotions and thoughts out of you
*It seems to me like she’s telling the story of childbirth.*
It starts with uncertainty, agitation and disturbance, then quickly transitions into labour and sorrow (1:12 - 2:30). The tone changs to a happy one (2:34), signifying a successful labour. And then the people start chanting happily and sharing the good news (2:57). Finally, the elder or the gerontocrat arrives and gives the blessings (3:20).
I have no idea what the song is about though. This is just what I deduced from her performance. I might have over-analysed it.
Great analysis!

how is it dangerous I've never heard of this
@@camprice1247 Dangerous as in you have to be really careful as to not damage your vocal chords
@@yeehaw4014 I doubt I can try this because I'm scared I might damage my throat.
As a throat-singer - it's only as dangerous as normal Western singing. It just seems more difficult because you're not used to trying to make the sounds, or you're not applying proper vocal technique to back it up as you would in other styles. Fear makes it even worse!

Normally I’d say just keep lots of honey tea handy, but I’ve heard that sugar is very bad for Inuit.
Got goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes. Must of hit my soul in some way.
If I had been sitting in the dark somewhere far north - those noises would have scared the s**t out of me.

One of the most incredible performances I have ever seen. For many years I have visited and revisited this video; enjoying the totality of this brilliant intuit tribute to world culture.
I never would have appreciated this if I never learned to throat sing. I swear, there's just something only us throat singers can hear in unusual music like this. My guess is that it's like when someone can't understand a language completely unrelated to their own (eg English speaker trying to understand Hindi), which can cause what you understand and think sounds cool in the language sound ridiculous and funny to them. Additionally, I've noticed that throat singing tends to make regular singing much easier to control, especially with pitch, because I am normally a baritone to low-baritone when singing, but now I can produce bass without straining my voice. Throat singing is something anyone who wants to be a good singer should learn how to do and get good at because it not only creates an extreme sense of calmness similar to meditation but it allows ridiculously good control over your voice.
Thank you! I think I will look into this style of singing now and see what I can do!

Это просто улёт! В такой музыке ценишь прежде всего аутентичность, чтобы не было слишком заправлено современной обработкой. Но тут просто круто. Чувствуется дикость, первобытность, мороз по коже!
Very sobering and primitive to listen to. The voice has an incredible range. Very puzzling as to what the song is about. Sounds like human kind communicating with nature. Somehow mesmerising. The singer is very talented. Enjoyed this performance. Bravo.
Its beautiful and ugly like life. It brought me to tears. Its haunting and makes me literally think of the wild.
Merci! J'ai eu la chair de poule comme jamais! Cette femme a réveillé des parts oubliées de nous! Impressionnant!
This woman is amazing. My grandfather was born in Siberia and far Eastern music and vocal style feeds my soul. People that make fun of this have probably lost connection to thier own ancestry and unique cultural activities so like any other hateful mindset the negativity stems from ignorance and fear. It is important to remain a student of life and discover and learn from your own ancestral roots as well as others. Thank you for this video.

Honestly I see so much acceptance for her… People bop their heads with the music... but when I seen a more cultured woman do this in the same type of show, everyone had weird looks on their face or they were smiling like they thought it was a joke. I honestly think her blonde hair and white appearance help her with being excepted here
I guess it's because people there more familiar with such culture therefore more respectful. U won't find any native Siberian tribes in UK for example
What is a "more cultured woman"? This lady's grandfather was a shaman, yet she is not supposed to belong to this culture? You got quite mistaken by a hair colour, which was dyed to make it more ironic.
Darker skin doesn’t mean cultured. As a matter of fact, as dark skinned indigenous people we consider these folks our family more than assimilated dark folks. Indigenous are indigenous. We answer to each other, not colonizer color politics. That is also a form of violence that silences actual voices. She is representing her culture and regardless of how colonizers respond to our tribes differently(which again is the observation of a colonizer), she would be an honor to stand next to. Validation comes from within, and I’m sure plenty of assimilated people who look like her have had a thing or two to say about her anyhow, because color doesn’t protect the indigenous from constant infringing and assimilation tactics that never ended. So when we see this as indigenous people, color plays absolutely no part and honestly these color politics comments annihilate whatever transcendental message she may be trying to convey by bringing it right back to prioritizing the mentality of the weak assimilator( which come in many colors and are ALL equally as uncultured because they assimilate into cultures that are not theirs). What you just complained about people doing to “colored” indigenous people , you’re doing to her. If you’re not a pale indigenous person, your perception of them is exactly that, perception. Based on your idea of another which you have been told by the very people trying to wipe out ALL tribes regardless of color, and allow assimilated folks to live on those lands (regardless of color)because they jump when you say jump.
No racebaiting.
