I'm at 124k on my '13 S6. In for a recall right now for that turbo drain screen. It's also having thoes upper arms replaced for the second time. To be fair, the first replacement pair I don't belive were installed correctly. I've had both high pressure fuel pumps replaced, all 4 air strut assemblies, waranty replaced the crank case breather (under the turbos), motor mounts and a right rear ac control (4 zone ac so each seat has it's own temp control). It's also having the ACC camera replaced. Most things that this model needs replacing are things other cars don't even have so cost is moot. At nearly 10 years old, it's a far better car than anything under $60k today. It has all the bells and whistles, 550hp twin turbo V8 that gets 30 on the highway, 3.5second to 60, soft air suspention ride yet handles good due to the adjustable struts and AWD. That real AWD not a fake Haldex system. The biggest reccuring problem I've had is with the wiring. Where I used to live had field rats, they're hell on wires. Had a mechanic tell me once "I pulled a rat's nest with a dead rat out of the fender well" I laughed and said it's probably not the only one. Never had an issue with the ride height, Turbos, coil pack or cabin filter. This is the best car I've ever been in let alone owned. It's expensive but worth it.
Now the real question is, do you have a heavy foot? Most people say a car has this this and this issue when they cruise on a daily. What about those of us who want it for performance, because personally i know im 60% throttle minimum from light to light, stop sign to stop sign 😂
@@bestbomb17 I have a 2014 S6 and in comfort mode it’s very smooth through all the gears, in dynamic it’s higher rpm shifts with a way better pedal response. It’s an amazing vehicle if you’re looking for the performance aspect of it. The handling is amazing of course, and if you’re heavy footed like me you’ll be just fine with the 6 piston calipers that will bring you to a stop on a dime!
Absolutely my son has an 08 TTI with the 3.2 engine, standard shift AWD. The convertible top has been a royal pain in the you know rear. He has to take it to Audi to reset the top sensors. He is going to invest in a scanner.
Perhaps I’m just getting old and grumpy, totally possible. But why do 90% of these video moderators have to talk with the same freakin cadence??! I can’t be the only person that notices this. And if you’re not aware of what I’m referring to, it’s when their voice pitch goes UP and DOWN and when they get to the last words in a sentence, it goes down again. I instantly lose respect for whoever is doing the video as soon as I hear it; it’s kinda like when the kardashians started making every wannabe cool chick talk the same back in the mid 2000’s. If you need a good example (besides this video) watch a channel called “first class test drive”. That dude does in in literally every sentence he speaks. Why any grown man would feel the need to emulate another while reviewing a car says a lot about him. This younger generation sucks😂😂😂😂. Also the dude that does the Edmunds videos. He’s terrible with it.
Just changed my water pump recently, there’s no way to take the water pump off without removing the whole front end, I’ve had the front off already to change out the pcv and turbos (Audi revised the oil strainer from 2013-14) and that could be done without removing the front end but it definitely makes it easier, just make sure the headlights are properly aligned when you put them back in.
I don't have any of those issues. But because I have watched this video, I expect I will have one of those problems tomorrow morning.
