INSANE Backyard Fire Pit Under $500

- I couldn't be happier with how this backyard diy fire pit turned out. We started by clearing the old pit and laying down paving rocks + sand to create a level surface. From there we used 15" paver blocks in a 4x4 pattern to create the base for the pit. From there we added 3 levels of pavers, connected using concrete glue, and topped offer with paver caps. From there we added premium landscape fabric and our "Red Rock Crush" rocks to form the perimeter.
In total the fire pit itself has a 4 foot internal diameter, and the entire structure is 15 feet in diameter.
In total, this circular fire pit was ~$465 dollars. While not cheap in and of itself, it was very cheap relative to what the cost would've been to have a 3rd party build this backyard oasis.
Will never go back to a regular fire pit after experiencing a smoke less fire pit
Hi
Beautiful! Beautiful scenery too! I'd be out there all the time! Great job 💞
That’s a huge fire pit
Indeed!
Hi
Why did they show them sitting around the fire pit without it being lit?? That's like trying to swim in an empty pool ...
Apologies! Got the drone out after building it and didn’t want to light a fire that day so the landscape adhesive would have time to cure.
@@HeyDerFolksthinking about doing this myself, how did those landscaping blocks and glue hold up to the heat from fires? I usually build my fires big and hot so I’ve been concerned this wouldn’t be the best material to use. Just curious, thanks for posting the vid!
nice clean work gentlemen might consider some combustion air down low maybe some rain water weep holes definitely a success and that view👍🏻
Thanks! Will consider those future upgrades!

I did this but actually made my own smokeless fire pit
Love that for your!
Hi
How many bricks did you use?
If referencing the pavers, purchased 72 and believe I used 69. Talked through all materials + pricing here th-cam.com/video/CgUleahrnS0/w-d-xo.html
Did you remove the rest of the grass or will the landscape fabric and rock kill it for you? And does this help with drainage aeay from the fire pit?
Operated under the assumption that the rock and fabric would kill it for me, so we left it. To date I haven’t had any drainage issues with the pit itself, though this area of the lawn was prone to flooding from the river in the spring even before the fire pit went in
Should of made a smoke less while you was at it, what I gotta do to mine
Just needing some bending board between the rocks and the grass.
What is bending board?
Why did you not use any fire brick for the inner and bottom lining? I see lots of cracks in the near future in the landscape block.
The honest answer is that I did not know fire brick existed and didn't see any for sale at Lowe's. So far so good, but if I had to do it again perhaps fire brick would be a good idea.
Do you glue the first set onto the pavers ?
You probably don’t have to, the glue will warm and the bricks will still shift if the fire is hot enough for long enough. That being said, I opted to glue the entire thing but I did not glue the bottom row to the square plates
Those pavers will be breaking.
How many bricks did it take to make that pit?

Lowes sells that fire pit with a metal ring for $250
Please include a link. I’ve never seen a 4 foot diameter fire pit for sale, usually the ones they sell are 2 foot diameter
How big was the overall big circle
15 feet
What are the type of bricks you used for the Cap stone/rock top cap? Also could you tell me the measurements. This is really clean looking
What are all the materials you used?
Rocks
Apologies for the TikTok link, but I broke down all of the supplies and cost in this video www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLSYKGy6/
What kind of chairs do y'all have? Where did you get them?
They’re 2 different brands, the dark black ones are exceedingly heavy but more comfortable. Unfortunately I do not recall the brand or where I got them but if I stumble upon the receipt I will let you know!
Standard pavers/ wall pavers should never be used for a fire pit.
Hi
Why would you use toxic glue turdferguson, use concrete.
I needed you to be there to help me! Too late now 😭
Oooh my God where the contractor team at?!❤🔥🪵cause this is a dream come true
