Did I Buy the Worlds Smallest Fixed Blade?
As a newbie to fixed blade knives I wasn't sure what to expect after my recent purchase from BladeHQ. This set of purchases, however, will extend the use of my everyday carry in several interesting ways.
What do you think about my recent knife pickups from Blade HQ?

I had meant to get around to this project sooner, but never found the time. Patience is a virtue, however, and I am very happy with how this battery charging wall turned out. This is The Worlds Most Expensive Shop Stool

For years i've been using a $20 Husky stool in my garage. That stool has generally served me well, but you get what you pay for and it kind of stinks. Are Snap On Long Reach Pliers Worth 3x the Price of Milwaukee?
มุมมอง 3.5K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
Snap On long reach pliers were the first set of pliers I ever purchased off the truck (check out that video here th-cam.com/video/YiaF1J7UVi4/w-d-xo.html). The Milwaukee Long Reach plier, however, has a few tricks up its sleeve that Snap On can't quite keep up with. Which set of pliers would you rather have? Is Snap On worth 3x the price? This is the Best video to show the battery life of these tiny batteries. It would be interesting to compare the different Milwaukee batteries
Thanks! Appreciate the video idea as well, will consider it!
For what I imagine they charge dealers for them, they could of done a wood cutting board of similar size with a laser engraved logo and made that set look 5x less cheap. Also extremely underrated TH-camr.
That would’ve been nice! Hoping to not be so underrated for long, gotta hit at least 10k subs to get my snap on box 🤣
Rubber bands on your tie down straps are awsome
Hey, question. I have a few dozen extra concrete pavers from my patio I built. Would this work as well?
The TH-cam comments suggest no, but that’s what I used here. Recommend performing your own due diligence. It has worked for me
Not no Man Purse 👜 Alpaka should take it back, SLING BAG!!!!!!!!!

Sears was making some decent profesional grade wrenches before they went to china... then the same made in china wrenches were junk. So I stopped buying craftsman tools. I have decent SK, Craftsman, older Kobalt and some nice JH Williams sockets and Snap-On sockets that are all run on Snap-On ratchets. The older JH Williams Lowes Kobalt wrenches were beasts. We can really wrench down on stuff with them.
Flank drive open ends leave bite marks on everything they turn... I had to re-buy the flank drive wrenches I purchased in standard format and fortunatly I didn't buy very many. I just buy the tools sockets and wrenches I need to work on my two trucks. Toyota and Volkswagen... The only snap on set I have is a set of 1/4 6 point metric sockets on a rail.
I have started mine can’t wait to finish it
Good ideas, love the tape holder idea
Thanks!
Did you get a kit or do you know where to get the stone cause I've been looking all over and can't find good stone or stone that's made for retention walls and have a lip any help
I bought everything individually at Lowes. Full breakdown video here: th-cam.com/video/CgUleahrnS0/w-d-xo.html
The xl doesn’t have the side compartments it’s got pockets on the sides
I will tell you what I was told when I was an apprentice at BMW and Porsche. A toolbox is nice and if you get a great deal, go ahead but remember a tool box doesn't make you money. That being said it is nicer to work out of a nice box. I am no longer a tech but I do have a very nice box with side cabs and a hutch. All my buddies who are backyard mechanics drool over my tools when they come over.
Thats what im going for!
The last thing I would ever buy is a snap on box. There is zero reason to spend 10k on a metal box to me. Even as a mechanic I know several people that use us generals and they have the same warranty. I love my us general, it doesn’t even feel that much different than snap on
I think you made the right call about color. No point in spending Snap On prices and not getting exactly what you wanted. When you do finally get the 9in talon pliers in green, you'll be stoked you waited. You talk about the other guy influencing people into going out and buying Snap On and I find myself going right to the Snap On page as Im watching your videos haha.
Ha, Snap On TH-cam is a dangerous game. Happy haulin!
I’m debating that 300 Lumen neck light or the new icon 1000 lumen light, what do you guys recommend
I'm not familiar with the newest Icon offering, i'm sure its solid. I love my Snap On neck light so it gets two thumbs up from me.
You want a smokeless firepit. Fuck these modern ways of toxic living
Plz test if those overpriced shit beat knipex plier straight jaw with extra squeezing force.
🫡
Thank you so much. You gave me a great idea because I’m going to be making one for my truck today to put my trump flag on. Thank you so much. I have a lot of these materials. I have saved after projects.❤
Have fun!
Great kit! I would personally add a multi tool and a large fixed blade knife.
I need to do an update video. I now have a fixed blade in the truck (separate from this kit, but in the truck nonetheless). I generally always have a Leatherman multi-tool on me (goes in my sling bag). However, i'm considering getting rid of the multi-tool from my sling bag and replacing with a flipper knife and separate plier.
500 🤔🤔
Yep. I did a whole video on the channel with receipts
I see some have mentioned “smokeless” fire pits. How can this be adapted to make it smokeless?? Does anyone have pointers?
You’re supposed to leave holes in the bottom ring of the pit. Can drill them or just space the blocks accordingly.
Before buying the M12 check out the M18 vs the M12 side by side test. The M18 destroyed the M12, I nearly bought the M12 before I ran across that video. I bought the M18
I have both. Now I keep the M12 in my truck
As soon as you said silky I was like that’s a perfect grab item to get free shipping
Hey Der Peter! Glad you noticed knives. I surprised you have autos in NY. But careful with them. When I was digging around, I found: "On May 30, 2019, the New York State ban on gravity knives was repealed. As a result, the mere possession of a gravity knife is no longer a crime under the Penal Law. However, the mere possession of switchblades, pilum ballistic knives or metal knuckle knives still remains a misdemeanor under Penal Law § 265.01(1). Those latter two are fairly specific but what constitutes a switchblade is often up to the beholder. OTF would likely be, while assists are questionable. But in answer to your smallest fixed blade question, I think the Civivi Gramis is my smallest fixed blade.
I'm going to check out the civvi gramis for sure. As for the legalese, i'll be sure these don't leave the house!
I know you said you might not need another folding saw - but being a Snap-on guy, your next purchase should be a Bahco Laplander; I like their 9-inch for camping. Bahco is a Snap-on brand and makes some of their tools - most notably a majority of their adjustable wrenches in Spain.
Thanks for the recommendation, added to my Amazon wishlist.
Slide bar lock on flipper. For the figit person. Any brand really i have the sog terminus xr in d2 steel. Always wanted a neck knife just havent gotten around to it.
Long Island NY?
About 5 hours north
Now, that's how you do it!🧡
I keep a surplus wool blanket in the truck. could lay on it for working on repairs, use to to protect something that needs to get moved, or if you were really cold use it as a blanket.
Good idea. I've randomly had a moving blanket in my truck for the last year or so (I never took it out after I moved into this house). Wool is definitely a good idea for winter preparedness though.
Those cutters cut so flush I just got them today in the kit and they are amazing!!
Glad you like them!
I've never understood Snap on people, they tend to spend so much time convincing themselves these are worth their price. . . What's the old saying about a fool and his money. . .
They’re soon parted!
4:11 Now they have the tool with a charger and 4ah battery and free 2ah battery for $159
What watch are you wearing?
Submariner
They have also a special of 106 with the 4.0 battery and the bundle is with the 2.5 for 159
Yup I got it comes in handy sharpening lawn tools
I use the same green magnetic mat for holding my gun on my snap on mine i fridge at my office at home lol I love snap on opsies
I’ve got the same set in Orange and the other set with the red plastic bit box. I Love both. I keep one set in my shop and the other set in my service truck
Great minds think alike!
im autistic as shit when it comes to the colours and agree with you shit needs to be matching otherwise i start tweaking lol I LOVE MY POWER BLUE!
Finally, someone agrees! 🤣
Do you need fire bricks?
Many folks have suggested this in the comments. So far the pit is working as I would expect, but i'd go w/ the wisdom of the crowd if you're planning to build your own and seek out fire bricks.
I love that he apparently DGAF what anyone might say about him spending all the $$$ from the truck.
Lol. Why would I?
@@HeyDerFolks exactly! Too many times I see guys on here trying to justify getting good stuff when the real reason is simply “I want it, I can afford it so I got it”. Of course no DIY guy *needs* Snap-On but, in reality, how many mechanics really do??? How many drivers buy BMW when they only *need* a Toyota?
Having a small air compressor is a must for my truck. Just in case.
I now keep my M12 inflator in there and the M18 in my garage
Add the 1/4 flip sockets and you get 8 through 15 in 4 sockets. Even better. They are great!
Have those from Klein in my Veto Pro Pac
A coworker that works with me had almost traded in the 44 pc ratcheting screwdriver kit and offered me 50 bucks and was totally worth it.
Why did you set it at 2,700K? 4,000K is the best color temperature for me.
That’s what the wife said she liked the best 🤣
Too bad snap on didn’t design a spot for the stubby handle. Would’ve gone in the two slot area it seems.
Agreed. Missed opportunity!
I have no problem with Snap-On, and own some of their “unique” tools, like the LN47ACF. But I’m just not down with Snap-On rebranding tools from other makers and selling them for 2-5 times the price. And I also will never tell someone else how to spend their money. I love watching tool users and collectors like yourself. I’m sort of a PB Swiss whore myself…
I haven’t gotten into PB Swiss…yet. Someday!
Awesome video (and channel!), that's the set I picked up at the end of last year that triggered my slowly snowballing series of snap on purchases! You should ask your dealer about 233FSMBFRG - it'd be a good all around 3/8 set for you, though there's some overlap on the ratcheting screw driver handle and the LN47. I've got mine coming next week!
Thanks! I can’t find that model on the website but I think I’ve seen a video about it. Is that the one with 3 pliers, ratcheting handle, and 3/8 sockets? I’m considering building my own set for a video because I think it’s an interesting homeowner kit
@@HeyDerFolks That's the one! I ended up picking up because I've got all my sockets/tools on tool grid rails in my toolbox - so this would be super handy to just grab and go. And after watching your channel the green handled stuff looked really awesome (I've mostly got red). My dealer did mention though that it should also be available in titanium and power blue.
I love the fact you bought a $60 olight with snap on wrote on it for double the price
Been using this exact tote, with similar gear. Highly recommend just committing to having a kit for every vehicle so you don’t have to move one around.
Right on! I have a smaller kit in my wifes vehicle, perhaps i'll do a separate video on that one at some point. In that I keep a Carhartt tool roll, battery jumper, and extra washer fluid
i would cut the foam to connect the two extra slots and use that for the mini handle and have it all in 1 kit
Love this idea!
