I fully agree with you, Oprah, Meghan and Harry were hand in glove with all the accusations made. Despite all the chatter I had heard about Oprah over the years, this interview was the last straw. I lost all respect for her as a leader, as a self-made billionaire who intends to do good for others. She was manipulating the situation to her own advantage. All three of them were very short-sighted and clearly underestimated an institution that is respected throughout the world and has survived over so many years.

They Lie as soon as their mouths are open, Lies come as easily to them as breathing does to the rest of us, so EVERYTHING, (as far as I’m concerned) has to be disbelieved & always has done. Didn’t anyone else think strange at that Engagement fiasco that she said - “I didn’t know who H was…..I didn’t Google him”. Did she REALLY expect us to believe her. A son of the most famous woman in the world in this Era, (as Diana was), & she really expected us to believe she didn’t know who he was….had never heard of of him ! THAT’S when alarm bells rang for me, & I haven’t believed a word that has come out of their mouths since, & Oh Boy…have I been proved right ! He daren’t go against her narrative because he’s obviously frightened of her……what a man he is who’s killed men out in Afghanistan, (supposedly, huh!) but DAREN’T contradict this woman in her Lies - I won’t say wife because she’s that in name only.

I get so sick of people blaming Megan for everything and saying she has brainwashed him and he should open his eyes etc etc. He is exactly the same type of person that she is. He's walking step and step with her in all these little antics. She's not leading him, he's right there with her. Contemporaries of him from when he was young or now coming out saying what he was really like. And they didn't like him. He was a bully in school and started fights. He used to get drunk and he threw up in a bar once, he used to lure young girls back to his father's basement for drug and beer. And if you look at when he looks at his brother in early pictures, you can see the jealousy. I believe he's been jealous of his brother from day one. And in that infamous quote from his book where he says Megan's eyes grew wide when they went through William and Kate's home, you will notice that he categorized the house the way an insurance investigator would. How many men do you know would notice crown molding and matching book covers in the library? He was just as jealous. And it's interesting that although his father gave him lots of money and he got money for being a working royal, at that time, he claimed to have a second hand sofa and lamps for IKEA. What did you do with all your money? It's not like you ever had to pay for travel for Royal events.

I watched this interview with Oprah. I felt this interview was MM’s way for her revenge against the Royal Family. As an interviewer, Oprah didn’t do any follow up questions to answers MM gave her. Oprah didn’t even question H when he discussed the color of the baby happening one time before they were married, not the many conversations about this topic that MM said took place with H during her pregnancy. Then the day after the interview it was shown that MM had told many “mistruths” during this interview. I believe that H knew exactly what his wife was doing in this interview, and he didn’t stop her from hurting his family, especially the late Queen.

I have been saying this from the beginning - as a Brit, I am incandescent that this micro celebrity married into something she didn't understand (clearly she was never interested, but just wanted the money & platform). She used an institution that is an important part of our political system and our history/national story. And then she proceeded to lie about it and trash it for her own financial gain. But it isn't hers to trash and neither is it Harry's! Bad enough to just take the money & run but to damage something so important to Britain through ignorance & /or malevolence is unforgivable.

I'm on the fence between what you say, and the notion that she decided to leave from day one, to which effect she built the narrative that she was unliked for being non-royal, a people's princess, and jet off to Hollywood to be adored. She didn't want to do the work, she wanted the fame and money. Yet she knew that she needed the royal connection, so the "half in, half out" scheme provided visibility and an allowance. As I sat listening to pieces of this interview, as a British born Australian, my immediate thoughts was, “this is for the American audience “. The British and people from the Commonwealth would have seen more holes than Swiss cheese in her narrative. When the comment of “were you silent or silence?” Immediately one of our tv presenters said, “I just wish she’d shut up!” Until that interview, I felt, along with others, “good on you” for doing what they wanted. They weren’t Pat Malone because others from various Royal families have done the same. They went on and carved a life away from their homeland and were very successful and not one whinged about it. In come the Sussexes. She was furious mainly because she found out that Harry wasn’t the billionaire she thought he was. Second, when they swanned into Hollywood, they may have made a ripple but not the adulation she expected. Harry was the draw card because he is a Prince and his status within the British Royal Family. After that interview, we saw the cracks, the table tilting and the Sussexes losing respect for throwing a family and a country, who welcomed the wife, under the bus and hasn’t stopped.

What I want to know is this: Did Meghan know that Baby Archie would become a prince when his grandfather Charles became king? My hunch is that she was so blinded by jealousy that Catherine's kids were born with prince/cess titles that she just couldn't process the fact that Archie wasn't. She had been so bitterly jealous of Catherine before even meeting her and I think she was (and still is) furious that she didn't get everything Catherine got --from titles to William to the future queenship. Her jealousy of Catherine is obsessive and dangerous.

I'm in Canada - and we weren't really very keen to pay for Harry and family's security here either, when they first pulled up in North Saanich. When they were visiting (before leaving) they brought a full contingent of royal security team with them - just as you say. No question Harry was fully aware Meghan was launching a full attack and Oprah was going to play the role of an overacting foil. As we've seen since Oprah - he's a bitter, jealous, adolescent - so I think he has really enjoyed having Meghan launch the slagging. I was so incredibly shocked at Oprah's behaviour in that interview - it really changed my opinion of her. Could not believe such a seasoned interviewer just going along with everything - even the totally obvious lies. No questions, no background work done.

It was M who said that tho. First she implied outrageously that her kids won't get a title because of their skin colour then she made that accusation of not one but multiple conversations around the colour of her kids skin. Where Oprah failed was not pressing her or him on the exact content of that conversation, whether it can be true their titles were in jeopardy because of skin colour, and also not picking up on the inconsistencies in their accounts. She would know they would be the most inflammatory remarks of the entire interview and she abdicated her responsibility to press them. They are all vulgar, self serving people.

What surprised me the most about that Oprah interview was the fact that his wife said it was various conversations whilst she was pregnant, but when Harry was asked, he pretty much contradicted her. He said it was once when they were dating. And my thoughts were that he realized the mistake he made, so then he shut it down by saying he wouldn't discuss it because it would be detrimental to the person. Which I thought was such a magnanimous response. He's so nice, even though this person is racist, he won't discuss it further. smh If I'd been the interviewer I would have asked further questions, because there's no way Oprah didn't catch the discrepancy. Most people only see the pageantry and the wealth, but I never believe it was an easy life to be a member of the RF. For years, the press has echoed Prince Harry's outrageous shenanigans. But since this interview with Winfrey, who certainly had her own agenda, followed by other interviews, without forgetting Netflix and the Spare book. In my opinion, Harry is an absolutely irresponsible idiot, a privileged spoiled brat, devoured by jealousy and that's quite an understatement, but worse a cad for mentioning the woman's name of his first intimate experience without caring about the consequences of his often contradictory allegations. In MM, He met his Nemesis, a greedy, conniving, fame-seeking 2nd rate little actress who never reached Hollywood stardom. • @dede4004
      @dede4004 ปีที่แล้ว

I watched the Oprah interview, and so much of the anti-RF was put on the "racism" that Oprah helped build up. When it was a talk between Harry and Meghan, NOT the RF and the country talking about "Archie's skin color". Oprah made a huge deal about that, and Meghan didn't clarify it until Harry came into the picture. But, she DID say Harry and her talked about it. But, between Oprah and M, they both blew up the "everyone is racist against her", which wasn't the case. And, M wouldnt EXACTLY clarify anything either. She wouldn't name ANY names of who said what, except that her and Harry talked about Archie's skin color. (Just TWO PEOPLE.) But from Meghans accusations, and insinuations, and Oprah exaggerating it even more, it created a firestorm that never had to be.
I was sort of put out at Oprah for exaggerating the "racism" part, to where it took on a life of its own, and it wasn't true at all.
Meghan has been extremely detrimental to the RF and Harry, but Oprah helped it along, which she never should have done. And, she's not apologized for her part in this either. She was old enough and experienced enough to be more unbiased than she was, but it clearly fed Oprah's need for anything "racist". It has hurt Oprah's image, to a some degree. Notice M and H STILL haven't set this straight, after all the talk and negative backlash they've received. Interesting.

Harry did correct one thing. Meghan claimed that there were numerous conversations about skin color while she was pregnant with Archie. Harry said that it was one conversation (doesn't mention what it is about) prior to their marriage. But when Meghan first tells Oprah about the "conversations", Oprah's questions are all about "the conversation". No matter how many times Meghan uses the plural, Oprah keeps using the singular. Like she got the real story from Harry earlier.

That was absolutely fantastic Shauna ❤ I think it makes it even clearer who the Royal Family are if instead of saying working members of the Royal Family (a phrase I’ve never liked) we changed it to saying serving members of the Royal Family. Therefore if a former Royal, Harry for example, leaves the Royal Family for a new life overseas it is clear he is no longer serving the people of the United Kingdom. Crown monies can no longer be used to bankroll him if he no longer serves the people of the United Kingdom, nor British taxpayer’s monies used to service a 24 hour per day security team if he no longer performs any duties in the UK. Changing the word “working” to “serving” makes Harry’s new position crystal clear. He no longer serves the UK and therefore not entitled to anything from the UK. Nor can he expect fully paid services by the President of the United States. The US only takes on the responsibility for members of the British RF if they are on a limited diplomatic or state visit. Harry provides no services to the people of the United States, nor is he on a state visit. Harry may still be a Prince by birth but he is no longer a Prince of the British Realm. That message might be driven home if the king used the word service in communications with Harry when trying to combat all of his various demands for money, titles and a private security team. The BRF are still serving the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth every day. Harry & Meghan are not. Thanks for sharing your insights, as always it’s a pleasure to hear you.

Must admit that's my one massive bugbear with Harry. The incorrect things that Meghan said, ok yes she may have forgotten (give her the benefit of the doubt), but this was Harry's whole life. He would know the rules, how it works with security, titles etc. Its the fact, like you said, he didn't correct anything. Its like he's just started the think the same way as Meghan, its so strange. Personally, for the security after leaving, I think he thought playing the Diana card and saying "Do you want my wife to die too" would make The Queen bend the rules for him. Didn't work. As for Oprah - massive let down from her. That wasn't an interview. She didn't challenge anything. When the lies started to become common knowledge Oprah lost a lot of credibility.

You hit the nail right on the head. Meghan is a con artist and a very good actress but then Harry isn't too bright. EVERYONE in the RF saw through Meghan's veil of deception. How many members of the family and Harry's friends told him not to rush into marriage with Meghan but Harry didn't want to listen to anyone. And this rubbish about Meghan's race only became headlines when Meghan made it an issue. When Harry went to the Queen to ask permission to marry Meghan, her words were "well I don't really have a choice, do I." (Insert blackmail here) Rumour was that she told Harry she was was pregnant. If the Queen had refused, the fact that Meghan was bi-racial would have been used and painted the RF as racists. On the Australian tour, Harry was heard yelling at Meghan "Are you pregnant or NOT!" Meghan's behaviour on that that tour was absolutely abominable. She really showed her true colours, as she did when she bullied Princess Charlotte.

@@jenteale I'm an Australian living in Wales and have been here for 17 years. I didn't take much notice of the RF as they were only 'glorified' in magazines (the Diana era) but also the scandals of the Charles, Camilla, Diana triangle and the toe sucking episode of Fergie's. They were always there at the back of my mind and that was fine; what they did wasn't impacting on my life in the least. I didn't buy the magazines and at that time it was rare for people to have computers so it wasn't in your face 24/7.
It wasn't until I came to live in the UK that I started to read about and researched what the RF really did and how many charities they supported and championed and with that, my respect for the RF (minus Prince Harry) grew. Harry has always made it known that he didn't like having to be 'on show' all the time and the only time he felt at ease was when he was in Africa. He said he wanted to live there with Meghan. Can you imagine that?? Meghan in Africa??? No I can't either.
I don't know what she thought she was going to do when she first got her claws into Harry. Maybe Harry was going to persuade the Queen to give up the throne in favour of Harry and Meghan - that's what she wanted. She wanted to be Queen - that was her ultimate goal. She even tried it on with William, thinking if she could get Catherine, she would have a chance to one day be queen. Meghan once said in an interview in the beginning "We are only a plane crash away from the throne". That alone got me thinking about her true character. Her and Harry's engagement interview is very telling as well; the fact that she lead the interview and wouldn't let Harry say much and when he tried, she squeezed his hand and he thought twice about saying anything.
I'm sorry to say but things are going to get even messier. She has a lot of dirt on Harry and his book shows what a really big twat he really is. You know when a toddler is very quiet, you know they are up to something, well it's the same with Meghan. She's been very quiet since Harry's book was published. Only time will tell and the 'OMG?!' sighs and head shakes are only days or weeks away.
