Crusaders were just next level. Came from colder places to fighting in scorching heat, heavy burning armor, bare minimum water and supplies, outnumbered, on enemy turf under weak kings at times yet shook the enemies to their core as long as they were breathing. Most modern soldiers are tough but largely unmotivated and don't have a higher purpose especially in the west with their sickening woke adoptions.

If you mean nuclear missile then, yes (I studied this topic in particular).
Basically nuclear weapons dominates and simplify the strategy of warfare.
Extremely important is having TWO factors: First strike capability(FSC) and Second strike capability(SSC)
The FSC is the ability to inflict a major devastating attack on the enemy (taking out about 25% of population and 50% of industry). The SSC is being able to receive a nuclear attack and strike back.
If a nation has FSC and SSC a lot of problems regarding its national security are solved.
In a conventional war (with no nukes) the outcome is very uncertain. Look at the WW1 German invasion on France, perfect on paper but got bogged down.
In a nuclear war the outcome is certain: unimaginable destruction for all sides involved.

If anyone has any doubts as if the modern world is really inferior to the Middle Ages you need only look at the mindset of people from that period and compare that mindset to that of the average western modern individual, medieval documents and letters are generally religious but also very optimistic about their time period in their own lenses, their mindset was that of someone who faced the world with pure faith, courage and strength, meanwhile how do modern works and manner of speech stand in comparison? All we see in the mainstream is nihilism or some manner of Hedonism reminiscent of Epicurean cheap philosophy and mindset! The people who dare stand up in the west are either those of unwavering Christian faith or the rare unbeliever who manages to grasp at the ideal of virtue through some flawed ideal, religion or philosophy like Zen,Taoism, islam, some manner of pure pagan philosophy like early stoicism or even paganism(which is more often then not a road to downfall rather then a road to virtue) on occasion you see the rare Nietzsche or Carl Jung follower courageously struggling with his courage and all his might for that is all he can do! but all of these paths, while useful as philosophys and worthy of study and some manner of respect for their glimpse of paths to the truth, fall short of the Truth present in Christian faith and they can’t see the full picture, they’re like Cicero who had virtue and could perceive morality but didn’t knew the word of the true lord and therefore didn’t had means to be a Christian himself as he was born, lived and died before Christ came and saved mankind with redemption.
Either way the Truth of Christianity remains the same and while many philosophy’s worthy of study exist the one truth of the redeemer remains the same.

honestly? todays soldiers are sad and displeasured men who want to fight for a cause or for their country yet the scenes of war haunt them or leave them scarred or dismembered for life. on the other hand , soldiers and warriors before they even introduced the musket and firearm were valued not for their simple aim and basic resilience but were actively fighting for something greater with true ferocity and pure skill alone with a sword, bow, axe, spear, shield and etc. and would last hours if not days in a siege fighting with all their physical might and sheer will to go on and on and on. hence why theres a saying; "the warrior with a firearm and cold heart will always pale in comparison to the warrior with a cold steel sword with a blazing soul."

This isn't wrong, but it's a generalization. It's wrong to treat everyone of a particular group as the stereotype.

Chad medieval knight who fight enemies at little distance, taking risk and seeing the distress and the courage in the enemies' eyes, respecting the enemy and taking some rest when there is a religious feast VS virgin coward modern soldier fighting at distance with drone and gun thinking it's a video game in a dishumanizing war with mass losses, with technologies invented by virgin nerd and ready to act without honor.

The military: who hates his own country and superiors, recognize his limits, caring about his health and get affected by violence... sounds like a human capable of opinions...
The crusader: who do his commands without hesitation, doesn't care about his own health if it gets in the way of his mission, is capable of fighting on daily basis and.. oh yeah after nailing a living person on wood planks as an agonizing way of torture for some actions, he starts talking with an imperceptible entity and all of this for faith (the belief of something without the need of any kind of proof or argument in your favor)...
It amaze me how religion can bring a person to literally destroy him self physically and psychologicaly for something else who isn't even perceived in any way possible...

Imagine fighting, killing and dying for a fairy tale sky daddy that isn't real and taking orders from a guy who was born into his high position. The Medieval era was so backwards.

Lmao at least in the medieval era you fought for a higher ideal and something greater than yourself, in the modern world you fight for the perpetuation of a hedonistic, materialistic, and degenerate society for the benefit of your corporate overlords. Who's backward really?

Look, if back then was mainly God and the King, now it's the nation.
Every society has its internal working mechanism, you can't say that the Medieval was backwards because of what a lot a people believed in.
Who knows, maybe people in 200 years from now will call us backwards because we use plastic.
