SAFARI in TANZANIA Day 1 - TARANGIRE National Park

After a night of rest we are ready to start the Safari!
Our Safari guide William met us early in the morning for the (relatively) short drive from our hotel in Arusha, Tanzania, to the first game drive of the week. The first stop on the list was Tarangire National Park.
Tarangire would be the smallest of the parks during our stay in Tanzania, but should not be skipped. It was a great place to start and has opportunities to see many of the animals you’d like to see on a. Safari, including the largest concentration of elephants in the area! Don’t miss the lion along the side of the road, or the zebras and giraffes-both making epic roadblocks!
After spending the day in the park, including a lunch not far from a group of elephants, we drove to our lodging for the night at Nimali Tarangire Camp. At dinner, we sat a few feet away from Cape buffalo who watched us from the darkness, and on the other side we could hear the growl of a lion-the experience is not to be missed-definitely stay around for the end of the video!
This is the official first day of our Safari with Tanzanian-based operator, Gosheni Safaris. The entire experience was seamlessly perfect, and I cannot recommend them enough! After Tarangire we continued onward to a little place called Serengeti-you will want to stay around for that!
