Fantastic, no intro, no BS, straight to the point
Thanks
How good can this get, so easy and quick, no math, measuring or messing around with Trig. loved it, Thanks
Very informative. Thank you for not wasting time when showing us.
Thank you for making this a fast tutorial. I know that a longer format video is better for revenue, but I so appreciate the quick and concise info.
I've been watching several vids lately to turn a Morse taper for my die holder and you nailed it in 60 secs. Def. thumbs up 👍
Thank you for a perfect tutorial video with no fluff, very straight to the point and informative.excellent job.
Great method! Tried today - literally took less than a minute to set up my lathe. Resulting taper fitting in tailstock as it was born there!
I used this method yesterday and it worked like a charm. Hats off to you for this super easy trick!
I love these quickies!
Thanks!
Thanks man! I just repaired the Jacobs 33 taper on my old drill press spindle real quick with this. Worked perfectly.
Glad I could help!
Outstanding, so simple, thank you so much for making and letting us view.....cheers from Florida, Paul
fantastic video ... straight to the point and a great way to do it
DANG! that was ultra fast and way too the point! love the alignment technique!
Exactly how I thought but it's always nice to see someone else really do it before I go ahead and scrap another piece of stock. I think I'll go for a try on this method today.
Wow I was certain that the carriage on my minilathe didn't have the ability to rotate like that but turns out, I just wasn't looking in the right place as I have the exact same one as you. This was the most informative 1:32 I ever spent.
I have to watch it more than once.... But its brilliant.!!!
Great video, I should be able to use this method to make myself some collets for my mill.
the most i ever learned for the time given. i choose your format for my future endeavors on YT. I Thank you
Straight and to the point. keep it up.
Finally a fast and sane video on how to do something the smart and easy way !!
Spot on. No messing. Love it
This is a perfectly executed how to video! Good job bud very informative with no B.S !
best instructional youtube video ever and on 1.5 speed!
I know this is an old video, but when I only stumble onto it now, it is new right? Fantastic and easy way!! To me it is a slap face or Homer Simpson moment!!! I saved this video in my lathes playlist. Just hope that I will remember it the day I need it! Thanks!!
Just found your channel and Subscribed. Nice work.
Quick and useful. THANK YOU. Makers of vids this is what we love ..........we don’t want to hear you ramble , Just give us the goods please
Now "T H A T" is terrific!!! Good shew mate! HEY! This trick oughta work to turn a Sitar peg taper when truing up to a Reamer between centers, (EXCEPT FOR) my compound slide does NOT have enough travel!! Always Something!
Information per unit time = awesome! I’ve now got enough spare time to leave a comment
Haha nothing worse than a tutorial that takes forever to get to the point. Thanks!
Very good that in genius will try that I have got a sliding tap guide that needs a little tlc
Thanks for the information
Damn! I'm going out to the shop to make one! Thanks for the video!!!
Very good to the point tutorial. The way most of us like it. I cant believe I just learnt something new after so many years machining!! I am embarrassed to publish it😆🤭
to the point, no drivel, thank you muchely
Thank you. Strong video!
1:32 "quickly admire your work..."
Exactly my feeling when I first got a Morse taper right. Man it felt good...
A great set of videos all round.
Thanks so much :)
Excellent tips and video!
That doesn't s amazingly simple. Love it.
"Quickly admire your work!" How funny and true.
You simplified it for me no more reinventing the wheel for me
wow... match the angle with something flat to the compound. nifty tip!
yeah, you have to make your own reference mark to accurately use the scale on the compound. I think 45 is the corner, but hope I never have to make a 90 deg. included angle!
Nice job😊
Best one I’ve seen yet with no bull sh__
Tack för en extrem snabb genomgång över hur galet enkelt detta är.
Jag har nämligen en liten fräs från 1985 🤭.
Thnaks dude, solved my problem!
Brilliant brief ! No chicago dust ( other videos are like movies !!)
Excellent!Genius work.
Tim nummy you’ve got one more sub
Nice..! But does the mini lathe cross slide have enough travel to complete the taper?
Is the taper in the tailstock same as the taper in the spindel?
Good tip!!! thanks!!
You're welcome! thanks for watching!
Excellent
Thanks!
I love seeing this and thino you made a awesome video
Thanks!
PHUCKING BRILLIANT!
That is a helpful tip and it's quick and dirty too.
I pretty much used the same method out of necessity to clean up a taper on a piece at work on a full sized lathe.
Love it thanks
Love it great work
How much travel do you have on your compound? My atlas has just under 2" so it would not be enough for a typical mt2 taper length.
Go ahead and make one that's 2" long. Two inches is plenty enough.
Mine isn't long enough either - This was for my tailstock die holder project and you can see the full cut here: th-cam.com/video/0v06IauXoRY/w-d-xo.html but basically I turned half the taper and then moved the carriage to finish the rest of it, just had to be careful where the two sections met.
perfect. thanks
I tried it today but sadly my parallel axis' weren't parallel so the angle was off slightly. A slight rotation of the compound solved the issue and the taper turned out nice and tight.
I would have thought you would need to use a 4 jaw to keep concentricity between the two pieces but I guess not. I will be trying that very thing today
Danke!
Not all heroes wear capes!
omg geniuse
Buenisimo!!! gracias!!!
perfect step by step guides does not ex..... oh ok
Ok hold on here. How is your dial indicator staying at 0? If is hard to tram it.
Dammit! I blinked and missed it!
Mind = blown
Wow
Great! Now lets see a female morse taper.....
Nobody else on ytube wants to have a go at it.
Reverse the angle and use a boring bar after center drilling the min diameter
@@johnsavoy4784 That's what I thought, no big deal!
Wow. I was expecting a bunch of crap to go through first. Yeah this is great
Wow very fast,
holy shit that was fast
Shit man. I think you've used this lathe a few times before hehehe. I hope i can get shit right as without screwing the pouch.
very good, but could you clean your equipment...lol
Ha thanks. And you're not wrong..
Very, very well done, I will make the assertion that you are a fan of very, very strong coffee and could probably also make gainful employment reading the disclaimers at the end of political advertisements, should you be so inclined to do so...
I've been a Machinist for over 20 years and I have to say PLEASE CLEAN YOUR F@#$ING MACHINE!
Ffs how easy is that
It isn't
Dear God clean your machine!!!
Face shield, and Air Hose---Works for me! Just don't blast air TOWARD way surfaces.
