This game was made with the same engine used in Power Rangers: Fighting Edition. Both are great games.

Power Rangers was made 6 months prior to this by the same guy that’s why. This is like a more polished version of that

This is THE best fighting game on the SNES. Fight me. It has chain combos and almost feels like something on the level of Marvel Super Heroes with its fast air-dashing gameplay. There’s a lot of depth and advanced combos in this game.

    • @carlosaugusto9821
      @carlosaugusto9821 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

This proved that it was totally possible to have at least the first Marvel fgs on Snes. It would just take effort to adapt the gameplay and graphics, and maybe take out 1-2 chars (Sentinel or Juggernaut). And it happened that Capcom sadly didnt care much about putting that effort in a snes port.
The game is from 96 and already had Ex moves, which was news by that time (in DS). Very well done and advanced, and better than all snes ports of Capcom and Snk fgs.

I probably have about 2000 hours into this game. If you're a fighting game fan I can tell you that practically any video you'll see of this game doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of how deep the combat goes.
We were neutral canceling, wave dashing, frame counting, working out niche unblockables, infinites, option selecting, crouch dashing, jump canceling, jump installing, and more before they even became a thing or was discovered in any other fighting game. :)
Thanks for covering it and giving it some exposure. It's my hope that one day this game will get a remake. :(

This game felt like a 16-bit X-Men: COTA with a Gundam license. It had chain combos, super jumps, OTG moves, super combos, air dashes, double jumps, and even infinite combos! Definitely my favorite fighting game on the SNES.

In case you want to play this game again, here are some tips. (You probably figured this out already though, but i love this game lol)
-all specials are fireball and shoryu motions. As mentioned, supers are double fireball motions.
-the gauge below the HP is basically your meter. Guns consume it as ammo, ex moves consume 100, supers consume 200. It recharges on hits
-correct on having 4 action buttons. Low/high melee, and low/high weapons (beam saber etc)
-specials using the high buttons are EX if you have the meter
-melee attacks turn to "guns" when at a certain range. You'll know when you see a target reticle on your opponent. High button shoots more but consumes more meter. Can only be done on the ground and can be aimed up a bit by crouching
-high melee attacks usually knockdown. You can hit a downed opponent OTG to extend your combo
-all weapon attacks, specials, and supers do chip damage. Chip damage kills
-dashing can be done with double tap forward or back
-boost dashing can be done by pressing 2 buttons (i usually do this with both low buttons). On neutral, it goes straight up. You can do one up then forward or back once for mobility purposes.
-combos usually have the LLL start then special cancel in the end.
-the story mode boss is a secret playable character, just forgot how to unlock
-wing and wing zero have 2nd supers. Double fb back motions
Sorry for the wall of text. Enjoy!

    • @JMccovery

Chip damage is why I sometimes hate fighting Epyon.
As for playing as Epyon in Versus and Trial modes: Highlight Tallgeese, then press L four times, R four times, then L R L R L R L R. If done correctly, congratulations, you can now destroy other gundams in no time flat.

    • @pspatino

I am from the UK and my mother somehow stumbled across this game at a market in southeast London in a place name Romford. They sold her a region converter cart that has the US version of Final Fight, Mickey Magical Quest and a Japanese robot game, Endless Duel. I played this right after playing Street Fighter 2 on SNES, so as you can imagine, I was like 'Holy shit screw Street Fighter!'

In many ways, this game is even better than Street Fighter Alpha, bigger sprites, even better mid air combos, you can hit your opponent while laying on the ground, kinda reminds me of XMen COTA, and this game was even ported to the arcades!!!. And it's only a 16megs cart!!!. See ya.
