‘Camping’ in my Defender 90 is such a pleasure while the weather is on my side; even when it’s cold, windy and overcast. But I’m really not keen when it’s raining. I get wet, the dog gets wet, the 90 gets wet, my clothes and bedding gets damp, etc etc. OK, I may be a fair weather camper but I do this for enjoyment not to test my endurance! 😂
@@LoveSundays Yes, exactly. Call me a wimp if you like but, of course, you’re right, it’s not the rain itself, it’s the getting everything wet I don’t like.

What a stunning part of The Country you live in, isolated but so pretty, such gorgeous scenery on your doorstep, I have only ever been to Cornwall once, but wow it does look stunning, even on an inclement day. That looked like a nice little break, on the subject of the breakwater, I once walked on there many years ago and the weather changed whilst I was at the end, waves were crashing over at the middle point, unbelievably I returned to dry land without getting wet, needless to say my parents watched in horror because they didn't know I'd gone, I would have been about 9 years old!!😬
There are definitely ups and downs of van life but I'll tell ya, I love every bit of the bright and dark moments! Stress kills people. Might as well try to find a way to turn the bad situation into a good one. My van broke down in the middle of South Carolina a few weeks ago and I got to stealth camp at my first O'reilly parts haha. Met some great people in the small little town who helped me out a bunch to get the right parts I needed to fix my van!
Adz channel was showing of an electric blanket the other day. I can say from staying in the Vietnamese mountains those things are game changers for the cold.
We were Sennen way on the Untoppd bus tour one Saturday in August. The forecast for the Sunday was dreadful but the cows were standing up, I said 'You know what, I reckon tomorrow's going to be allright'. It turned out a beautiful day.
It's nice to see some of the reality of the van life. Great video Shaun. It 1000% worth having that break away I love getting out in my tent and having that break away from life in nature.
