    Steel wool pads should never be used to scour the inside or outside of an oven because they will scratch the enamel and make it harder to clean next time. Even the S.O.S. company says only use their pads to clean the oven racks.

      Been there done that. Chips of enamal are now found sometimes in the oven. Wouldn't recommend abrasive. I found acids or base water with 50°C to speed up the reaction work well.

      If u have a cheap oven then yes ur right. But if you have an expensive oven that has newer metals it’s ok.

      I agree, never use steel wool or heavily abrasive scour pads to clean the inside of an oven! I have a different style oven than what she’s cleaning, but I wonder if you could lay a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil on the bottom under the burner of this kind of oven to catch the grease and food scraps. I do use the self-clean cycle once in a while. I do it on a mild winter day so the house won’t get too hot and I can open the windows. Just take out the racks and it’ll be fine.

      Let's also remember that steel wool can tear apart, leaving behind particles that can hold microbes, but can also be a physical and chemical threat, should it fall into food

    That style of coil stove they were cleaning has a lid you can lift and prop up like the hood of a car. You can clean the grease and food scraps under your coil burners. So important to clean under the coil stove top, especially in rental apartments. I always cover those drip pans with heavy duty aluminum foil so can just throw the mess away instead of having to scrub. As long as the chimney isn’t blocked, it will be fine.

      I had to clean the stove when I moved into my rental because the last tenant never did. Replaced the coils and the cover plates. It was disgusting

    How do you get hardened grease off pots and pans

    • @xsietube
      @xsietube ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends what the pan is made of. If it’s stainless, oven cleaner works great. It also will work on enamel. Be careful and wear gloves and a mask. Don’t use it on anything nonstick, aluminum or copper.
      Aluminum and copper you need to scrub it off with a green pad and maybe some Bon Ami scouring powder. Copper you could also try Barkeepers friend.
      Hope that helps!

    ❤️🌟 In recent years, disasters have occurred frequently and anomalies have appeared one after another,You must confess your sins and repent,I hope that those who have not yet trusted in Jesus and God can trust in Jesus and God as soon as possible,Confess your sins and repent as soon as possible.2000 years ago, light came to the world,Jesus Christ came to the world.The Word became flesh and appeared before people's eyes.He was crucified for the sins of people.He was resurrected on the third day, and then He ascended to heaven and sat at the right hand of God. If you sincerely trust Jesus Christ and accept Him as the Savior of your life, you will receive the Holy Spirit.Then, you must obey the Holy Spirit, rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit to act and behave, and be a person who pleases God.
    But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. -Galatians 5 : 22 - 23
    Don’t delay, you should immediately trust Jesus Christ and God!
